Richie, his family and the coaching staff are the best!! They are all heart when it comes to not only teaching your children basketball but how to be a better person. To give so much of your time to a community that has always been underserviced, takes a huge commitment that the Catch family have always given even in the hard times. If you have the funds, please help out these wonderful souls. My daughter played since the 1st grade at the boys and girls club and now is a coach for a local school all because of mentors like this group.

Great group of people!! My niece had exponential inprovement in her skills, and her happiness. Would not have been possible without Catch. Her only wish from her dad, was that he called them WAY earlier. You guys rock!

I am a boys high school varsity coach at rural B school about 1.5 hours from Spokane. We have been working with Catch Spokane for the past 2-3 years to provide year-round opportunities for youth basketball players as well as offseason training and game experience for high school players. Multiple young players in our community have trained with Richie and/or played on Catch Spokane teams. Last summer, Richie came to our town to offer a 4 day skills camp to both youth and high school players. The benefits to each participant were obvious. Richie and his staff do a wonderful job of connecting with kids and inspiring them to push themselves to new limits. We will continue to work with Catch Spokane to provide developmental opportunities for basketball players in our community. Everything they offer, from training sessions and skills camps to AAU teams is highly affordable, valuable and rewarding to kids. I strongly recommend Catch Spokane to aspiring young players as well as coaches who want to enhance player development within their local programs.

I am a local high school basketball coach and have worked with Richie for 4 years. Coach Fischer provides great skill development opportunities for our future and current high school athletes in a positive, yet demanding environment.

I've been a volunteer for almost 3 years but started to really be able to help with in the last year. I am able to relate to a lot of these student athletes not just having the love and passion for basketball but coming from a a single home life and being limited to the opportunities due to financially not being able to afford it. CS has made it so that all players are able to get that experience by having lower cost fees, multiple locations for gym training's , getting former/current players to coach as a volunteer, and being eligible for a scholarships. Being able to see and be apart of the growth of this organization is really awesome.
As a Volunteer, it has really challenged me by getting out of my comfort zone. I have enjoyed being a coach for Catch Spokane and being able to give my time to those I can relate with other than just sharing the love of the game. I Love being able to help, encourage, and be a mentor to those who believe in the process on the court and off the court. CS isn't just individual basketball , CS is dedicated family of coaches and athletes who share the same passion of what it takes to play the game we all love! basketball.

Catch has influenced each one of our four children. Casually finding Catch as a teammate of our youngest mentioned a training he goes to, was one of the best gifts aau basketball has delivered to our family. We’ve had rough experiences with coaches and consistency with teams staying together through our 10 years now in aau. When our 6th grade boy faced being cut from his team (via email) we stuck with Catch as he was enjoying and learning from the trainings. Richie helped form a 7th grade boys team among others. He has been pushed to grow and learn more than ever before with his coach and then also in trainings. He knows he’s valued and believed in as a player and most of all loved too. We are very thankful to Catch for the opportunity for our youngest.
In addition, Richie has trained our current 15 year old girl, 18 year old senior boy, and our sophomore college girl, playing D3 ball. Catch afforded 2 of them the opportunities to be part of tournament teams during the off season also, meeting other kids that love basketball and are in it for improvement of their skills too. Our senior is looking to play college ball. Our college girl also comes home and receives training for the summer.

We love being around an environment that is all about the kids and not about a coaches success. The only thing I regret is not having had Catch available to us 10 years ago when we started our aau journey. Don’t hesitate to call and get your child involved.

My 17 yr young daughter has been on court since 3rd grade Yball, With that you can guess she’s been on many AAU teams never finding a Coach that believed in her the way Catch does. In last 2 years of training with Richie, he has brought out her skills that have been trying to be unleashed all these past years. I say I almost lost her to the couch cuz she was near burn out. The ironic thing is I had Richie’s number in my notes for some time and couldn’t bring myself to pay 2 different people. She took one last big breath and went to a Catch training, 2 years ago. She has rarely missed a training since then. Richie and his volunteers he selects truly care about and respect our kids, they have become like family, in turn you see the kids respecting their coaches-trainers.
My only regret? Not calling sooner!
Don’t hesitate make the call, make that commitment for your player if you want to see growth on and off the court. You’ll be glad you did.
