This shelter has very specific guidelines posted on their website. After investing time, energy and heart, following all specific guidelines and meeting all listed requirements, an extra requirement was created by the board that was intrusive, unfair and irrelevant. The agent I dealt with wished me luck with another organization stating we would make a wonderful adoptive home but that the board would not waive the additional requirement they created out of thin air. I feel the administrative levels within this organization are interfering with the purpose for which they were organized and which appear on their annual 5500 Form which is the form filed to maintain their not for profit status. I am unhappy with my interactions with this organizations and would not recommend that anyone that cannot show this board that they have a perfect home look elsewhere to adopt a cat.

I have been a supporter of Cat Guardians since they opened and have adopted several cats from them over the years. I have seen firsthand the dedication that the staff shows to every cat that comes through the door. At Cat Guardians, each and every furry little life counts and is given every chance to find their forever home, including those that the “kill” shelters would have considered unadoptable and surely have euthanized. My kitty, Paris, had been at the shelter for almost six years – too shy and skittish to be attractive to most potential adopters. Now she is the biggest snuggle bug, and I am so thankful that Cat Guardians provided her a safe haven while she waited for me to find her. And most amazingly they do it all on a small fraction of the donations that the larger shelters receive. A great big thank you from me and all of the Cat Guardians alumni for all you do!

My husband and I have been proud supporters of Cat Guardians for nearly two decades. The work that these people do on behalf of homeless and abandoned animals simply defies words. The facility has been recently refurbished and is a warm and welcome home for our feline friends in need. They get by solely on the support of donors who care and support their organization. I am everlastingly proud to be one of those donors!! Kudos, Cat Guardians. Were there more no-kill shelters like yours, I would never anguish over the life of a lovely feline lost. God Bless all who work there, and the work you all do!!
