I enrolled my daughter in this amazing organization when she was 7 years old because I wanted her to gain financial knowledge that I personally could not give her. After her first week, I decided to enroll her in the following week and then the third week. I was so impressed when she came home and told me what she learned in just one week. My daughter is now 17 and she has been a part of World of Money for all of her teen years. She has conversations with the best of them, she can speak and understand basic Cantonese and she helps me with my sometimes complicated excel spreadsheets! Her experience at World of Money has catapulted her on so many levels, She's hosted the WOM Fundraising Gala, made various TV appearances, presented at the Federal Reserve in Boston, interviewed celebrities one on one and presented a business pitch at JP Morgan. She is now in her senior year of HS and is preparing to attend a top university to study dentistry. Oh did I mention that she was nominated and is now a finalist for Posse Foundation full ride scholarship! WOM has provided her with the tools and instilled confidence in her and her fellow scholars that will last a lifetime. Financial literacy is rarely taught in school so I am forever grateful to find this program/ organization that concentrates on building financial literacy. Get your kids involved!!!! It will be your best investment!!!!
I have been volunteering with World of Money for a year now and it truly lives up to its mission to empower youth, 7-18 to get an early start with financial and entrepreneurial education.
The fact that World of Money focuses their educational efforts within under-served communities of color is one of my favorite aspects of volunteering with this organization. In the last few years, World of Money has educated over 3,000 families, and over 80% of students have improved their overall school grades among many other positive factors.
It has been a truly rewarding experience to interact with and help to empower students to believe in their financial and entrepreneurial goals. For example, I helped to organize a youth business pitch competition which brought children as young as 9 years old to create an investor's pitch for their business idea. I received feedback from every one of the parents saying how positive of an impact the experience had on their child.
I look forward to continuing to support and uplift children as they learn about financial health through this organization!
World of Money is the only organization that combines financial literacy for youth aged 7-17 along with an immersive experience supported by Wall Street executives and other dynamic corporate professionals who volunteer their time to offer feedback on stock pitches, entrepreneurial endeavors, trading and investing concepts, and lessons on personal finance as it relates to budgeting. The World of Money app and the Online Institute offers access to every student virtually which allows students from all over the world to learn financial literacy.
I enrolled my brother when he was 12 years old and he was able to discuss the power of compounding interest, saving and inflation. Students also learn Mandarin and learn their way around Excel. His experience with the Institute far exceeded my expectations and helped me see first-hand the impact this organization has on each student.
World of Money is absolutely amazing and the finance/business concepts, professionals, companies, and peer-learning opportunities it exposes our youth to is crucial as these students will be our next generation of leaders!
I had the pleasure of recently joining the leadership council of this incredible organization and I cannot stress the importance of financial literacy as that equips us with the knowledge and skills we need to manage money effectively. The immersive curriculum provides the foundation for a financially responsible and philanthropic life by focusing on five tenets: learn, earn, save, invest and donate. This organization is first class and provides the necessary framework to shape the financial future of our youth.
As a volunteer with World of Money , I see first hand how this organization can open the eyes and inspire young people of color. The delivery of financial education by this organization is unique and these young kids are not only gaining knowledge, but motivation to take control of their financial futures.
I have been a supporter of World of Money for several years. World of Money equips children with the financial tools they will need as they navigate the road to adulthood. The curriculum of the Summer Institute is comprehensive and uses age appropriate lessons to teach students ages 7-18 about the importance of a positive money mindset, as well as, credit cards, stocks and bonds, world currencies and payday loans. World of Money students also take Mandarin Chinese and learn how to create a simple Excel spreadsheet. World of Money uses music, interactive games and in class projects to engage the students and reinforce the principles they are being taught. This work being done by World of Money is invaluable and has the potential of change the trajectory of the student's life.
As a parent of a World of Money Mogul, I can’t stress enough the importance of this organization. My daughter has learned so much about the foundation of finance and how to manage her money after attending for several years. I see how she thinks about money, how she saves her money and how she makes decisions about spending her money. She has a knowledge about the economy that is way above her peers because she has been taught at World of Money. The best part about it is that she has always enjoyed this organization. I never had to make her attend; she looked forward to it every summer and even became a classroom leader when she was old enough. This organization has been an integral part in her education and given her information that she may not have received until well into college or graduate school, if that.
I was first introduced to World of Money (WoM) in 2017, as a volunteer financial presenter with my previous organization. Since then, I've participated every year during WoM's July Institute. The role WoM plays in the lives of children and young adults is indispensable. The tenets of financial independence, economic empowerment and mobility help support the next generation of professionals to more equitable features and is a cause that continues to fuel change.
As a person who did not have access to financial education as a child, I wanted to ensure my children did not fall into the same bad habits I had. Worldofmoney.org has made a tremendous impact on my two alumnae and our entire family. World of money is beyond teaching financial literacy. The organization and volunteers are committed to giving access and equity to underrepresented youth around the world! This is a powerful mission that will change the lives of so many and would translate to generations to come. I am so grateful to Sabrina Lamb(founder and CEO) for her vision that I have committed to helping support World of Money efforts.
I WAS PREVIOUSLY A BOARD MEMBER & VOLUNTEER, BUT CURRENTLY AN ADVISOR WHEN NEEDED. WORLD OF MONEY TEACHES FINANCIAL LITERACY TO THE YOUNG ,UNDERSERVED YOUNG PEOPLE FROM 7- 18 YEARS OLD. I HAVE BEEN WITH THEM FOR 9+ YEARS. I HAVE ATTENDED ALL THE GRADUATIONS & CONTINUE TO BE IMPRESSED BY THE WEALTH OF FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE THE YOUNG MOGULS HAVE ACQUIRED IN 1 SUMMER. THERE ARE MANY YOUNG PEOPLE WHO RETURN UNTIL THEY ARE TO OLD TO ATTEND CLASS, THEN THEY VOLUNTEER! I HAVE BROUGHT IN SPEAKERS TO TEACH THEM THE INS & OUTS OF THE FASHION BUSINESS, WITH TOMMY HILFIGER'S BROTHER ANDY; WHO I WORK WITH. THESE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE LIKE SPONGES , SO THIRSTY FOR MORE KNOWLEGE & THE GAIN IT. THEY HAVE TRAVELED TO CHINA & STUDIED CANTONESE BEFORE THEIR TRIP! I SO IMPRESSED WITH "WOM" & THE FOUNDER - SABRINA LAMB. SHE IS AN INSPIRATION & IS PASSIONATE ABOUT EMPOWERING THE YOUNG PEOPLE. I AM A SUPPORTER & HAVE WATCHED THEM GROW. IT IS MONEY WELL SPENT. JAZZ A.
As a finance professional, I was extremely impressed with the World of Money.org as it not only teaches the importance of financial management and philanthropy but it's focused on the next generation of young people who normally wouldn't learn this information until later in life if at all.
I can't think of a better non profit that takes the complexities of finance and makes it fun and easy to learn while empowering the kids for the future.
Having volunteered with WorldofMoneyorg for a few years now, I have had a wonderful experience. I'm continually impressed by the innovation that's taking place within the curriculum. The addition of added technology and coding classes allows the students to flex their brain muscles even further and develop new, critical skill sets. This program is simply amazing!

I have seen the impact of WorldofMoney.org in action on many occasions, but none more inspiring than their inaugural trip abroad to China in August of 2013. To see the youth and their family members find awe and wonder in history, calligraphy, the process of making silk, exploring ancient temples and financial centers, speaking Mandarin that they learned during the summer institute and so on, drove home the influence that this organization has on their outlook, mind-sets, and future aspirations. It's beyond measurable and will continue to spread to entire communities and to future generations with the help of invested donors and volunteers, under the visionary leadership of its executive director and founder, Sabrina Lamb. Sabrina is the epitome of commitment and passion. To witness the vigor and drive with which she approaches the advancement, development, and potential for each participant is truly motivating.
I cannot say enough about this program, since my daughter graduated in 2007 I have been a parent advocate for World of Money in hopes my two younger children would benefit. So I was ecstatic when they expanded to include young moguls ages 7-9 and made financial literacy relatable to them giving them the very best start towards a bright future. My eldest skipped a grade, has been working since she was 14 has checking, savings and cd accounts. Is paying her own way thou college and is on the Deans List WOM let's children know THY are in control of their destiny. They need only learn the mechanisms that control wealth building and master them. Every child should be afforded this opportunity and have wealth building be a family affair!
What traditional K – 12 education is missing is a solid financial literacy program that fosters financial responsibility. World of Money fulfills this void. Since attending World of Money my daughter has learned the different between good debt versus bad debt, entrepreneurship, what a credit score is and how it is used, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, estate planning and much more. This organization has made a tremendous impact not just on my daughter but on our household. We now have a different attitude towards money; we make better financial decisions as a FAMILY. We are grateful to Sabrina Lamb and the hosts of volunteers that make this program a success year after year.
World of Money has set the standard on how to provide impactful education to our young people. For a week in the middle of the summer, where many students are busy doing nothing, this program provides an education that it takes a lifetime of bad experiences for many adults to learn.
World of Money has taken the leadership role on financial education for the future generation of leaders. Whereas past generation could fall back on the excuse of no one told me, WOM has filled that void and in turn taken away that excuse for its graduates.
I have worked with World of Money since 2011 and every moment with this organization has reminded me why it's mission is so important. Teaching youth about how to manage their finances is just as important as teaching reading and writing, and WorldofMoney.Org accomplishes this mission. Sabrina Lamb is an infectiously enthusiastic leader that inspires volunteers and students alike. My years working on the WorldofMoney.Org leadership council and volunteering with students have been fulfilling, inspirational and fun.
For the last two summers I have worked with World of Money and Sabrina Lamb, and there is no one more passionate about our youth learning the tools they need to succeed early in life than Ms. Lamb. Her love for her Moguls and their families shows through the work she does, the people she invites into the institute, and the results all the Moguls show. This is the type of organization that makes me want to have kids just so they can be a part of this institute. Starting at age 5 and going up to age 18, these Moguls learn everything about money, business, real estate, taxes, insurance, budgeting, marketing, Excel, and they even learn Mandarin - where else can youth learn these things? World of Money does one extremely important thing that most institutes and programs fail to - relating what the students are learning to how it benefits them in the real world. I wholeheartedly support and appreciate Sabrina Lamb, all of the Moguls, and their parents/guardians for utilizing such an important resource in World of Money!
Many urban youth never receive the basic financial education necessary to arm them for success in the future. As a member of WorldofMoney's Board, I have had the great fortune of seeing the impact this organization has on our children and changing this paradigm. Children leave our program fundamentally changed and "eyes open" to some of the most basic, and critical, elements of the world around them.
As a parent of two Alumnae, Worldofmoney.org has made a tremendous impact on our entire family. Our journey began with my younger daughter at age 12 now 16 because of world of money teachings;she is the teacher's assistant for her history teacher's economics class grading the 12th graders'work. My older daughter is an intern at JPMorganChase and as an intern has been standing out, facilitating global meetings and acting as project manager. World of money is beyond teaching financial literacy; it is an organization that has given access and equity to underrepresented youth in the same vain as their Affluent countrparts. I am so grateful to Sabrina Lamb(founder and CEO) for her vision.
World of Money is a phenomenal organization committed to educating youth about more than just money. The founder's (Sabrina Lamb) heartfelt commitment and forward thinking inspire youth to achieve financial, professional and personal success. It is an affirmation of my belief that the sky is the limit. My son has benefited from being connected to WoM and has great things to say about his WoM experiences. Fantastic job Sabrina!
I have been a volunteer with WorldofMoney.org since 2008, and currently serve a dual role with the organization. I am a Financial Presenter during the summer financial institue, and also the Membership Committee Chair of the Leadership Council. The experience has been amazing so far!!! The students that attend this program are getting a financial and life education that is priceless. From day one they are learning to value everything about themselves and walk like they own the earth. The theme of the organization, Learn, Earn, Save, Invest, Donate, is embedded in these future leaders right from the start! In my day job as a Certified Financial Planner, I have the opportunity to speak with adults about their financial goals. I often hear the expression "I wish I would have known that when I was younger." The students that come through this program will never have that thought.
I have had the pleasure of seeing the work of Sabrina Lamb, Founder, over the years that I have been involved. She works around the clock to continue to enhance this program each year. It started out with a few students in a classroom back in 2005. Just this year, we took a trip to China for our first annual education tour. She has even added Mandarian Chinese to the course work. I look forward to being involved going forward!! The future is bright!
World of Money is run by one of the most caring and charismatic leaders in the non-profit universe, Sabrina Lamb. Sabrina and her team get the students on the right financial path from an early age and stay with them throughout their middle school and high school years to ensure success in college and beyond. There is no doubt about the positive impact WoM has on these students and their families and I wish there were more organizations like WoM and more people like Sabrina.
"WORLD OF MONEY" IS A GREAT ORGANIZATION . I HAVE WORKED WITH THEM FOR 7 YEARS. THEY HAVE GROWN IN SIZE TWICE WHAT THEY WERE FROM THE BEING. THEY SERVE CHILDREN THAT WANT TO BE ALL THAT THEY CAN BE. "WORLD OF MONEY" EXECRATES YOUNG PEOPLES' SELF ESTEEM & CONFIDENCE LEVEL. I HAVE SEEN YOUNG PEOPLE GROW TO A HIGHER LEVEL WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THEY GAIN ABOUT FINANCES . THE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE EVEN TEACHING THEIR PARENTS AND SIBLINGS ABOUT FINANCIAL LITERACY. I AM VERY PROUD TO BE A CONTRIBUTOR & PART OF " WORLD OF MONEY" .
