Casey's has some very knowledgeable people who make sure all the horses get the best care possible. But even if you know little or nothing about horses there will be a place for you if you're interested in helping. Everyone is super kind and patient with each other and you will find that the horses will return your love and then some. It truly is "People helping horses helping people". Consider volunteering. It's a great place.
I am the owner of a thoroughbred and was looking for a companion for her but did not want to purchase a horse so I reasearched horse rescues that might have a foster program. I discovered Casey's and vetted them out first. I put it at the top of any horse facility that I have ever boarded and as a result I have been fostering one of their horses for almost two years now. Casey's also provides services to the community, with special tours and educating folks about horses. I was so impressed I am now a board member. The care of the horses always comes first with Casey's. I'm attaching a picture of my foster horse "Patriot". He was a show horse but developed "Kissing spine disease" so was given up by the owners. Their loss was my gain.
My daughter started volunteering with Casey's last year and loves it. I grew up riding horses, so it was a real treat to see the place and learn she now has that passion. I recently enjoyed a trip there with the people i live with at Greenfields senior living. We got to pet the horses and learned a lot about the organization. Some really cool success stories!
I have seen how this organization helps animals in need. My wife and I have an affinity towards saving every animal we come across. More her than me, just for the record. We love to save dogs, and when we were introduced to Casey's Safe Haven we realized how much their staff cares for every animal. Love to see the selfless attention and care towards those in need. Kudos to Casey's staff! Love to see individuals giving their time to help what may have been seen as, "broken", "worthless", or "dead" animals. These animals have a new life and thrive at Casey's. Everyone who visits finds enjoyment from interacting with these beautiful animals. Those who donate their time are giving their most valuable asset in life. Kudos to them!
I have volunteered at Casey's for about 10 years. It is so wonderful to be around the rescues, to give them comfort and love, and to be the recipients of their affection, too! Barn work makes me feel physically good, and the camaraderie helps to build friendships. Beautiful barn, beautiful pastures, and beautiful volunteers.
I have volunteered at Casey's Safe Haven for about 3 years. Our motto is "People helping Horses helping People". Casey's is a very caring place. Everyone of the equine is special. Most are of advanced age. This summer's brutal heat and humidity has been very hard on the horses and minis. They often need a shower to lower their body temperatures. We also run fans at each stall to bring cooler air into the barn. Even their meals are sometimes adjusted to help the equine survive the heat. Thankfully all have made it through the tough conditions. If you love equine, Casey's would very much appreciate your support.
I discovered Casey's Safe Haven almost ten years ago and have been volunteering every since. What a great group of people that have no egos and just want to make their rescues healthy and find their "Forever Home".
Caseys Safe Haven has changed me because of who they are. I started to volunteer because I have never been around horses before, yet watching a television series about them, found a new way to find peace and serenity. I started going to the barn 2 years ago and I have learned alot from those that have been there for much longer. I have found a passion in caring for the horses. They have soulful eyes and tender hearts. The purpose of Caseys is to provide a place to live out the lives for horses that otherwise had not been positive. I am there 2 times a week and the people I have met and the care that they also give is inspirational and encouraging for when we leave.
I love Casey’s Safe Haven! I started volunteering 5 years ago, once a week after I retired. The horses, ponies & donkey give back so much love! I think I get back more than I give! A lot of hard work, but you can see it in our equine! They’re happy & healthy & living their best life. The people are wonderful, board & volunteers, you can tell everyone cares. I’m up to 2 days a week now, & always look forward to going.
We have young & old visitors, & tours.People love hearing the stories about how the equine got here & what progress they’ve made.

I have been volunteering at Casey's Safe Haven since July 2020. This is such a great organization with amazing people who love and care for all of the equine. The people at Casey's regularly go above and beyond to make sure all the animals are well cared for, healthy and happy.
I began volunteering with Casey's last fall and now I find myself helping out several times each week because I love it there so much. It is such a wonderful experience to help these equines, many who are older and/or have medical issues. Everyone there is so caring and generous, and I have learned so much in my first year. Casey's does SO much for the animals, they truly go above and beyond.
