Causes: Animals, Fisheries Resources
Mission: The cascade columbia fisheries enhancement group is a non-profit organization working within chelan, douglas, okanogan and ferry counties to cooperatively facilitate sustainable fisheries enhancement projects for future generations. Our work is based on public trust, outreach, voluntary participation of willing landowners, best available science and best value management practices.
Programs: The organization works with willing landowners to protect good habitat and to facilitate and implement fish restoration projects, and informs the public through education, training, and public information to improve the health of our region's environment, increase fish populations, promote a more sustainable and environmentally sound regional economy, and minimize community conflicts over natural resource management. During the year, we worked on 16 projects.
