Programs: We offer free training to help immigrant families achieve their economic goals.
Our award-winning ESL program has been operating since 1994 and has successfully taught English to hundreds of immigrants. Program participants learn essential communication skills that are key to obtaining long-term employment and becoming wholly self-sufficient.
Every Tuesday morning, informational workshops are held in Spanish at the Day Workers' Center to help workers adapt to and understand better their community and their rights in this country. Workshop topics are often suggested by the participants and include issues surrounding health and preventative care, workers’ rights, civil rights and discrimination, tax preparation, work safety, and more.
