My daughter has been attending classes at Casa Circulo for more than five years, and it has exceeded our expectations. She has participated in several events that she wouldn't otherwise, like participating with the San Francisco Symphony, Day of the death event in Redwood City, and other events with other cultural groups. This has broader her vision of our culture and the importance of maintaining our traditions alive.
I was a volunteer for this AMAZING organization for seven years before I becoming a board member. They do a lot of activities that benefit the community. I am very proud to be part of this organization and make a change in people’s life.
Being part of Casa Circulo changed my life. It has giving me skills to better my self, learn about my Latino culture and arts in general.
Thank you Casa Circulo Cultural!
I've known Casa Circulo Cultural for over five years now, and I only wish I had more time to be a part of this wonderful organization! I've had the pleasure of attending some of their shows, such as Dia de Los Muertos, music concerts, and their children's musicals. They are always professionally done and very entertaining. I've also taken some art classes. It is amazing how they manage to make the most out of their resources. I also try to volunteer whenever I can- it's not only very rewarding, but also a great opportunity to learn and collaborate with the talented artists who work there. Fernando Escartiz is an amazing sculptor and artist, and I recommend visiting Casa just to see his work. This is a well-managed organization that is a great benefit to the Latino community and keeps kids connected with their roots and their culture by providing classes and shows that are very enriching. But Casa Circulo's large support base is by no means limited to just the Latino community. The entire community enjoys and benefits from this great organization. No one should miss their annual Dia de Los Muertos show in downtown Redwood City- it is amazing!
Casa Circulo Cultural is an amazing organization and one that I am happy to support and be a part of .
For over 10 years, volunteers have worked to support local families, help make a difference; build confidence in their children through arts - music, dance, drama, martial arts; and to pass on the traditions and culture of their heritage. Teamwork and social responsibility are emphasized throughout the programs and family bonds are strengthened. During COVID times, they have really stepped it up and have come together to help support students and families by providing much needed resources. Thank you CCC volunteers, families and students!! I miss seeing you all!!
I came here for one of their Theater projects and I really appreciated all of the artwork and rich culture emanating from the Casa Circulo Cultural facility and volunteers. But what made me fall in love with this organization was their commitment to provide to the low income families a place in which to develop new artistic skills, techniques and talents. Casa Circulo Cultural also collaborates with other arts, social and community groups. Not to mention, that every year they plan and execute, one of the most successful events in downtown Redwood City for” Day of the Dead ” bringing thousands of people to watch the altars, vendors, and entertainment .
I have been an active member of CCC since its beginnings in 2009. I have seen how much it has grown and integrated the community with its multiple class offerings. People from all over the Bay Area had collaborated with CCC one way or another and CCC has given back to those communities as well. Circulo is known not only in San Mateo county but also in San Francisco, Vallejo, San Jose, they accept everyone with open arms. Great organization.
CCC is a cultural center with activities for all ages, in a cozy environment. All the work and activities are made for volunteers
Casa Circulo Cultural is such a great non-profit organization. Not only do they provide various classes in the arts – theater, music, dance, drama, martial arts, they also pass on the Hispanic traditions and culture. They are also committed to helping Latino families in the Peninsula make a difference.
I have been a attending many of the cultural events and workshops of Casa Círculo Cultural where I have learned invaluable information about my culture and language. Casa Círculo Cultural is by far the most complete, organized and robust cultural center of the Bay Area. It offers: dance, theater, music, radio and celebrates all the main Latino celebrations such as Día de Muertos and Las Posadas. Furthermore, all their programs are family oriented so it gives parents an opportunity to connect with their children, pass on their culture and understand their root. CCC teach us to be proud and value of cultural wealth.
I am very happy that I joined Casa Circulo.
My daughter, who is 11 years old, is taking tae kwan do, guitar, art, singing, painting and on top of that she is performing in small plays and being part of event such as Day of the Dead.
Through Casa Circulo my daughter is learning about our Mexican traditions and she is speaking Spanish more, which she refused to do before we joined Casa Circulo.
Casa Circulo is a non-profit that focus on preserving the Mexican traditions and culture.
