Caris is the reason my son is here today. He is 4 years old now with a bright amazing future. Caris staff helped me achieve my goals & stood by my side with support when nobody else would. I am now a college graduate with my Associates & 2 more semesters left for my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, working towards becoming an FBI agent. I would give my last breathe for a team like this. They are truly GODS ANGELS! And I thank GOD every single day for blessing me with this this GIFT! Thank you so much Cori Moschberger & Caris Staff........GeeGee
My interaction with the professional Staff at Caris is always an encouraging and inspiring experience. When I am fortunate enough to meet with them, I am able to hear the passion of their message and I am reminded why I partner with Caris. I've heard the testimonies of numerous women whose lives have been forever changed by the tireless effort of the Caris Staff. Many of these women looked to abortion as the only solution. Caris provides a viable alternative and gives these women the training, tools and resources to make them better parents. I really appreciate the overall supportive and positive stance that Caris takes as it relates to the controversial and divisive issues surrounding unplanned pregnancies. Women coming into the Caris Clinic are well aware of the difficult situation in which they find themselves. What these women need are answers and solutions. At Caris, these women find grace and support. It is an honor to partner with such a dedicated and talented organization.
I absolutely love CARIS and all that it stands for! I have been so blessed to witness firsthand how greatly CARIS has benefited so many lives. Some mothers who have received support from CARIS have taken the baton and are supporting other women in unplanned pregnancies. The staff members are sincere, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable in their field of expertise. CARIS is an organization that I am passionate to volunteer at, donate to, and tell others about.
Caris is an organization that serves women and children affected by unplanned pregnancy. Since I began my volunteer/donor partnership with Caris in 2008, I have seen nothing but faithful observance of their mission and authentic dedication to the women and children they serve. Caris has intentionally set themselves apart from other groups who serve in this capacity, seeking to find better ways to love and honor their clients. They have been unendingly committed to the practice of understanding their clients' emotional and physical needs and faithfully determined to meet those needs on every level. I love Caris. They not only bring hope and joy to those they serve, they bring ME hope and joy with every experience I have with them.
Throughout my time volunteering at Caris I was overwhemed by the warm, trusting and caring environment I got to be a part of. All of the staff was so supportive and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young girls facing unplanning pregnancies. I was so proud to be a part of such an amazing organization and hope to volunteer again in the future as time permits!
Caris is a trusted place where any women who finds herself in crisis with an unplanned pregnancy can come and find support and encouragement. I appreciate the way Caris reaches out to, and cares for, each woman, not only with the goal of saving her unborn child, but also with the desire to help her in her struggles as well. Caris offers women technical support, counselling and the opportunity to join connection groups where a she can join with other women in a loving atmosphere and be supported through her pregnancy. I would gladly and confidently recommend Caris to any woman in need.
Willow Creek Community Church has been privileged to partner with Caris for over s decade. During these years we have served with Caris and have been the recipients of their remarkable ministry. To be able to provide those in an unplanned pregnancy with a compassionate and professional place to receive assistance is a gift. Caris is vital to the communities and individuals they serve.
I have seen CARIS change lives firsthand - both through providing assistance and support for a 14 year old pregnant friend of one of my daughters and through watching the diverse ways the organization has supported women over the 20 years of my involvement with CARIS. CARIS respects the dignity and choice of pregnant women and assists them, through a counseling based model, as they walk through the uncertainty and fear surrounding an unplanned pregnancy. The many other support and connection activities insure a continuing interaction with women in need.
Caris does an outstanding job serving vulnerable women facing unplanned pregnancies. I serve with their employees, volunteers, and clients at our church and all of them affirm what I have seen--an organization that is designed to serve and empower women who are in need. Their president, Angie Weszely, is both professional and compassionate, and she and her staff are creative and thoughtful in their approach to a culturally divisive issue. Our church recently chose Caris as the recipient of our 2010 Redemption Project and our congregation supplied funding and over 150 tote bags full of resources for new moms. It was a wonderful blessing to be a part of their ministry.
CARIS helped me heal and help. I started hosting baby showers and connecting other groups to host showers, as well as adopt support groups. Seeing these BRAVE young mothers choose to have their babies has been such a healing experience for me. They have been empowered through the knowledge they receive in the first meeting with a counselor to the many weeks they spend in the support group. Caris helps the woman AND the baby. Not just Pro-life, but PRO-WOMAN. The organization helps these women see hope.
I was attracted to Caris and wanted to get involved because of a site tour where they emphasized that they were for the future of the mom AND the baby. As a new mom myself, I knew how much goes into keeping, dressing, bathing, feeding a baby in the first few months, so I began hosting baby showers for girls who had participated in new mom support groups. It was a blessing to me to see how people in my church and in the community came together to donate gifts and diapers for these new moms. We were able to become a support network to girls who might not have been able to keep their babies any other way. It was exciting to see many of the girls come back for multiple parties, cheering on the newer moms and sharing what they had already learned. One particularly sweet moment was when a complete stranger answered an internet plea and donated her $1000 used stroller. One of the girls just happened to need one, as her son was getting too heavy to just carry to support group. She was SO excited! Personally, I've become friends with one of the girls we "showered" and have started having play dates with her weekly, since our daughters are almost the same age. She comes to my mom's group with me, and I've been able to encourage and mentor her a bit. I would never have met her if she and I hadn't gotten involved with these new mom support groups. I feel like I've really caught the Caris vision that these babies and their moms both can have a bright future if people like me come alongside them and help. I believe that the young women I've met have been challenged to see themselves in a positive future with their babies, too.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer said “The test of the morality of a society is what it does for its children.” The truth of this quote speaks to the mission of Caris Pregnancy Clinics. Clearly Caris embodies a message that lives out the justice of this mission every single day. In doing so, they provide extraordinary support to all women. My experience with Caris’ staff and volunteers has proven their unconditional commitment to the cause of human sanctity. For me this means they are called to do justice to all of human life, at every stage of life. For them this clearly begins at the moment of conception. This is true justice informed by love and action and there is no doubt that Caris is faithfully committed to the complete sanctity of life which includes the life of the unborn child and the utmost care for the dignity of mothers and their families.
I originally became involved with Caris out of college, as my first job. I was not aware at that time how my experience with them would change my life. The staff at Caris are truly committed to the women they serve, and are dedicated to not only serving them on a one-time basis, but have a great desire to see the community at large changed as a result of their services. Recognizing a huge need in the community for support, resources and awareness regarding unplanned pregnancies and abortions, Caris approaches this traditionally sensitive issue in a unique and compassionate way. They believe that women have the right to be fully informed about their pregnancy and the resources available to them before making a decision. From counseling support to support groups to community resources, Caris desires to meet every woman where she is at, and according to her individual needs. I have never experienced a staff full of individuals committed to excellence and change like at Caris. This is an excellent, excellent organization. They are doing GREAT work in our community. They continue to refine their vision and goals, becoming even stronger in the areas that they do best. They utilize their resources to their maximum potential, and stay true to their vision and purpose. I have truly been affected by the women I have met during my time at Caris, whose lives are forever changed as a result of their experience with the services they received. I also continue to be affected as I recognize the deep need for a place like Caris in our community and in our world as I meet more women who are affected by the issue of abortion and unplanned pregnancy in some form or another. This issue is far bigger than I ever imagined, and I so appreciate that Caris is looking to solve and help the root of the problem, not the outlying symptoms. I cannot wait to see where they are five, ten years from now. They are standing for women and children - no one can argue with that cause.
