I've commented before how I feel and benefit from being a member of this great organization. Today it's not about me. The staff and volunteers look out for the animals from birth to sometimes their last breath. I wish all residents to get a loving forever home. There are some that will spend the rest of their life here with us, but i can say they do have a loving home. A new addition to the property is a "Wishing (remembrance) Well". A final resting place to secure the forever home. The Plaque reads - Dip the bucket into this well & it will fill with water, but with the end love from all of us. We are eternally grateful for the food, care and home you provided for us. Whether our stay was short or long, we will never forget you. You are forever in our hearts. It is hard to say goodbye, but do not be sad. We crossed the Rainbow Bridge and are happy and playing. Until we see you again...
Thank You CFF for letting me be a small part in their lives.

Secure surroundings ,loving caring hands.Old,young, kittens, new borns, nursing moms, handicapped, this is their home. For some it is their forever home, for many it leads to adoption. We have personally witnessed all the love and care that is given to these Felines and we are proud to say we are proudly owned by 6 rescues from there.

We are the lucky owners of 6 rescues from Caring Fields pictured. We started as volunteers there almost 9 years ago and it was easy to see the love and care each cat no matter the circumstance received.A couple recently came to adopt .The woman said"we can't take a cat", he said "why?" She said why would you want to want them to leave here they have a wonderful life and home. It is a loving forever home to many but also a nice starting point for those who will have forever homes through adoption.

I was having a hard time figuring out how to explain what an amazing place CFF is until I saw this video today. This is Froggy. She was born with a deformity that causes her to not go to the bathroom normally. She would not be given a chance at most places. But at CFF, she has been loved and cared for the same as the rest of the cats. And you can see that she is a happy little girl.
She will not be lucky enough to be adopted so CFF will be her furever home. And a great home it is! While I hope and pray that all my 4-legged friends will be adopted, life at CFF is not so bad. The kitties have spacious accommodations and are loved on every day. I am not able to be there as much as I would like, but love every minute that I am.

My daughter and I absolutely love this facility! Always a pleasure to come visit the kitties and help out where we can. The cats are all loved here and well cared for. I especially love the campgrounds with houses for outdoor kitties to roam, no cages here! And they have a special campground for FIV kitties ☺️ Please don't hesitate to adopt from Caring Fields Felines! Or donate your time or funds for this great place!

This place was amazing.
They have very spacious indoor and outdoor habituates for the cats. Indoor habituates are large 3 walled areas about 12' X 12' with furniture and toys to help the cats adjust to the new surroundings. Outside there are large fenced areas with lots of green grass. There are structures that look like custom made doll houses and other structures for the cats to climb, play, or sleep.
Pauline Glover was fantastic of keeping me updated on the progress of my cats, sending pictures and emails frequently. She truly cares about the cats understands the pain and worries of the people who can no longer care for their cats.
Thank you for all you have done,
Franco Piras

I first went to caring fields a little over two years ago to their Kitten Shower. I wasn't looking for a new kitten or cat...yet. So I thought. I just went to " look". Once I saw the amazing facilities they have and found out that they foster so many, if not all, the cats and kittens so they don't have to be left in a little cage like so many other places do, that did it.

Everyone there, especially Pauline Glover, who runs the sanctuary, was so helpful, I knew Caring Fields was the place for me to find my next fur baby without a doubt.

I was looking for a particular kind of kitten, longer fur, dark color, etc. and Pauline found one. I went to the foster home and fell in love immediately. I actually ended up fostering her to adoption age.

After that I decided I wanted to help others find this wonderful group at Caring Fields Felines. I became a foster Mom and spread the word about how great the place was and how much they care. I post constantly on my Facebook page and everyone now calls me the "Cat Lady" at my job. :) I love it. I am typing this as one of my foster kittens is lying across me asking to be petted. Made ya smile!

I know of no greater group of loving, caring, people than these. Everyone works so hard to make life better for these loving cats. Please help them to help other cats and kittens who depend on us for their LIFE.....we need your support. Thank you!!!

I first learned of the Hobe Sound Animal Protection League when I thought about getting another cat after my Rascal died. I hadn't fully decided yet but saw "Kitten Shower" advertised and decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! After having been to numerous other shelters in the past I was pleased to see happy cats that were NOT stuffed in to cages, but have the ability to roam about both inside and out. I also met kittens!!!!! who are fostered by wonderful volunteers who give them the love and affection they need along with human interaction that makes them in to better grown up cats. I met a number of the volunteers that day and took a tour through the whole facilities. I was especially impressed with the facilities that house the cats that are considered unadoptable. They have a place to live out their lives in peace and not in the streets or woods. I didnt decide on a cat that day, but I came back! Then I went on a hunt. Pauline Glover, who gives ALL of her time to the facility, was always there to help me. When I found "the one" who would be mine, Pauline cautioned me that she was sick and underweight. With her help and advice, I took her home and went back and forth for checkups and medicine. Through trials and tribulations and lots of diarrhea! she started gaining weight. :) My little girl, Cheyenne, is now a little over a year old and, of course, the prettiest cat around! thanks to the Hobe Sound Animal Protection League. I still return with smiles and various cat things or a possible new mommy. I wouldn't suggest any other place else. I see people in Petsmart looking at cats and I tell them about the Hobe Sound Animal Protection League, a NO KILL SHELTER, and my little story. Now the sad part....they have been asked to move! They need your help to find a permanent home to continue doing what they do best....save our animals who have no voice and no place to go. To continue to spay and neuter to keep babies from having babies. To find loving homes for both kittens and adult cats, and to add that bit of love that we all need every day. PLEASE HELP!

I have learned so much through my volunteer work with Caring Fields Felines and have met a great group of people who all have the big heart of an animal lover. Seeing how this amazing group accomplished the move to their new sanctuary was impressive. It required organization, hard work, planning, fund raising, and real dedication to the welfare of the 150+ felines in residence. Truly amazing. I'm grateful to be a part of this wonderful group that does so much.

HSAPL has been such a huge help in educating me about TNR!! When I first started feeding the cute little kittens in a park near by, I had NO IDEA that if you feed, you TRAP or you will have too many to count. So I was loaned a few traps and started bringing in cats to the Spay/Neuter Clinic and learning all about TNR. I can't say enough about this fantastic group!! The support and help they have offered with kindness and such love for the kitties, just incredible! And when I saw the Sanctuary and how well cared for all the cats were, I was so impressed by the whole organization. Wonderful people!

A friend with extensive animal rescue experience recommended Caring Fields Felines when i expressed an interest in volunteering. She said they were more organized than most other groups and thought we would be a good fit. She was absolutely right. My experience has been positive and more importantly, because of Caring Fields Felines, many kittens and cats have found their forever homes. These folks are tireless in their efforts. Very proud to play a small part and lets be honest, i get to play with kittens.

I began volunteering with Caring Fields Felines early this year. The enthusiasm and love that the volunteers show for the cats is incredible. Many have numerous cats at their own homes but they still take the time to care for those at the sanctuary. The cats are fed very well and their health needs are always quickly taken care of. The grounds and housing for the cats are kept very clean on a daily basis by the volunteers. We always need more help and I would assure anyone that they would be greatly enriched by working with this group. Of course, the adoptions are especially joyful, too.

Every weekend when I would venture to PetSmart I would always see the ladies from Caring Field Felines (at the time they were still under their previous name of Hobe Sound Animal Protection League) with a table full of kittens. I always would stop & take a peak. I was not able to adopt because I did have an older cat with Renal Failure. Once my cat did sadly pass at 15 years old I was heartbroken. Every time I would look at a cat I would start to tear up. The volunteers at the Saturday PetSmart adoptions were always very sweet and listened to my story even though I was not ready to adopt quite yet. Then finally one day a few months later I found the new "love of my life" I didn't adopt her that day so I went back the following weekend. They had rotated some of the kittens but as fate would have it the director and one of the coordinating volunteers happened to be there that day. After my conversation with them I had become a volunteer & adopted my baby. I did not intend to be a volunteer initially but when you see the passion this great group has for the animals you can't help but be moved yourself. They are hard working, compassionate, friendly and dedicated. I now recommend them to anyone I know who is interested in adopting a cat. It is a pleasure to be part of this great team.

I've been a volunteer with Caring Fields Felines for over 8 years and hope to do so for many more years. There are so many opportunities for volunteers from "scooping p**p" to fostering to adoptions to fund raisers. This is an amazing group of people who truly love cats and go above and beyond to care for them and find forever homes. They are pretty great to the humans too.

Caring Fields Felines and I met in Petsmart, where I currently work. They're set up next to my pet training Kiosk and soon I became interested in the kittens up for adoption!! "Who wouldn't be?" My husband is a cat lover so I surprised him with an adorable kitten from there one Saturday! The ladies were so friendly it was contagious, and before long I was asking how to become a volunteer! Since I work full time, my husband and I decided we would do best as foster parents!! Over two years have passed and we are only "foster failures once"!! LOL. We had to keep one incredible kitten for ourselves. Now our home is filled with 2 CFF Adopted cats, 2 adopted dogs, and a flowing arrangement of fosters until they are adopted to the perfect families! I absolutely love this organization and the message it carries for saving so many cat's lives. The heart and soul given is tremendous and one worthy of praise. I will continue to share my enthusiasm for such a great volunteer position, I hope for many years to come.

My husband and I have been foster parents for the last 4 years...we have had at least 70 kittens come to us! Some needed socializing and some just love until they find their forever homes. This "job" is one the most rewarding experiences we have ever had. People always ask about giving up the babes when they are adopted...how hard it must be...and yes it is hard, but knowing they are getting amazing "forever" homes is a reward hard to describe. Caring Fields Felines thinks that we are helping them....however, the truth be told we are lucky to be doing this!
Bless Caring Fields and all they do for the Cats!!!!

I volunteer with this organization and my main function is TNR- Trap, Neuter/Spay, Return. Because this organization exists I have been able to help dozens of caring people who want to stop the breeding and overpopulation of outdoor and community cats. We have access to an outstanding veterinary clinic to accomplish this task and have gotten hundreds of cats spayed and neutered through our Operation Catsnip program. This is the most dedicated group of people you could ever hope to find.

I have been a volunteer for over 10 years. It's amazing that many of the other volunteers have been as well. CFF does so much to stop cat overpopulation with their s/n program. They also have a feline aides/leukemia section which is usually a death sentence at many other shelters. Many of these cats have been adopted out as well. We are at Petsmart every Sat of the year except for 1 weekend ( when we have a major fundraiser) adopting out cats & kittens. It is a pleasure to volunteer for CCF!

Approx. 3 yrs ago, we had just started feeding a feral momma and her 2 kittens. Shortly thereafter, they told their friends, and soon we had more mouths to feed, and a couple pregnant cats as well! I placed an "please help" ad on Craigslist, and someone wrote about Caring Fields. I placed a call, and soon with the help of Peggy and Daria, we had all of our kitties, trapped, neutered and released! A few of them had gotten adopted, but the majority came back to live in the woods behind us. We are down to 8, who get feed twice a day, every day. Without the help of CFF, I know we would have ended up with a lot more hungry mouths that we couldn't have afforded to feed. We are forever grateful to them!

My girlfriend and I found our little buddy at the Kitten Shower in 2014. He loves the water and loves to just hang out with us. I know he wouldn't have been this social if it weren't for CFF. The fosters and volunteers were very friendly and answered all questions about each cat from being with babies, children, other pets, ect. As much as our new kitten loves his home, I know he misses his furry friends and human friends at CFF.

The very simple way to put CFF into words that will fit on a brief section of a webpage is that Caring Fields is a true blessing and life saver. We were introduced to Bandit, our all black baby boy, at the 2014 Kitten Shower. We got to see the interactions between kitten to people but also the interaction of volunteers and fosters to kitties and potential-adopters. The way the ladies at CFF care for these cats is with warm, kind and contagious love. All the volunteers, working the event or just doing rounds, were all so welcoming and knowledgeable. We thank them for Bandit and encourage them to keep up their amazing work.

What a wonderful year this has been for this organization! In addition to moving to a brand new sanctuary, HSAPL changed its name to Caring Fields Felines. "Caring" certainly describes the attitude of the group. Every cat at the sanctuary receives loving, personal attention in this cage-free environment! it's very rewarding to watch the shy, frightened cats that come to CFF undergo a transformation and blossom into happy, healthy felines.
Since I began volunteering, almost ten years ago, I've seen the organization grow from a small entity with only a couple of volunteers, to an active group of more than 40 volunteers. CFF strives daily to fulfill its mission to reduce the number of unwanted cats in the community through adoption, spay/neuter, and education.
I'm very proud to be involved with this no-kill feline rescue organization.

I have volunteered with this organization for many years and am amazed that they accomplish so much with so little. HSAPL is run almost solely by volunteers so everything donated goes directly to the care of the cats, maintenance of the sanctuary, and a tremendous spay/neuter program.
This is a no kill group that has dedicated special areas to feline leukemia/aids cats. This enables these cats to live long, comfortable lives. The foster program is the best. Kittens are hand raised in loving homes , many with other cats or dogs, so they can move seamlessly into their forever homes. It is so rewarding to get a phone call from an adoptive parent just to say how much they love their new family member. All the volunteers are caring and fun! We love that our payment comes in the form of purrs and kitty kisses. Join us and find out for yourself!

I went to a kitten shower in May and was overwhelmed with the urge to take home all of the kitties! There were so many loving, social cats there that I know any and all of them would've been a great addition to my home. My sister and I did end up adopting one though. A little grey and white ball of fluff who has grown rapidly in the last three and a half months into one of the most loving and entertaining babies. The organization was so kind and helpful, excited and supportive, as we were adopting him. They go out of their way to provide a clean and loving environment for their feline friends, and make sure that they're kept healthy, socialized, and active in preparation for finding their forever home. I lost my cat of 15 years a couple of years ago and finding my kitten has filled a little bit of the hole left from that loss. He's the biggest character. At only 5 months, he loves to play fetch with water bottle caps, balled up pieces of paper, and a stuffed lamb that he stole from my niece. He will curl up next to me to sleep during a storm, stretch out across half of my bed at night while we sleep, curl up on my chest while watching TV. He's always purring, so I hope that means that he's as happy here as we're happy to have him. Thanks to the HSAPL, I found my forever cat.

I hooked up with HSAPL when my neighborhood was faced with a feral colony. One of the residents was long time friends with one of the trappers. So we got in touch with her and she couldn't personally make it out there so she asked one of her colleagues to come out. We got our whole colony taken care of and registered with the county. The trapper told me about their annual kitten showers and the rest is history. I made the sanctuary my home away from home until my fiancé and I moved out of state. I absolutely LOVE Everyone there and miss it everyday, I also brag about it and send out the web address to everyone that asks me what I did in Florida and everyone is genuinely impressed.

I have volunteered with the Hobe Sound Animal Protection League for at least 10 years. I have been instrumental in fund raising for special events, auction building, fostering, adoptions, and recruiting. It is one of the best animal rescue organizations around. It is a no-kill cat rescue facility for approximately 180-200 cats. These cats live in little villages, or screened apartments--not cages!
We have a small army of loving and dedicated volunteers who come out regularly to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of our well-maintained sanctuary, and to clean, feed and love on the beautiful feline residents. In addition, we have a low-cost spay/neuter program, an active adoption program through PetsMart, and provide vet care for sick and injured animals. Our volunteers ARE the organization! There are some wonderful people out there who feel the same way about animals and who have joined forces to make a difference. We have only two paid employees, so everything we make, and do, goes for the up-keep and betterment of the cats in our care. We are also an active voice for animal advocacy. We are always looking for volunteers who can lend a hand, or share their talents or expertise for the betterment of cats.
! hope you will consider this worthwhile organization.

I have volunteered with this organization for a few years now and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The HSAPL houses all cats young, old, luikimia positive, AIDS and HIV cats, pregnant, shy, sick, injured, beautiful, ugly, aggressive, and every cat in between. The place is clean and active in the community. HSAPL offers educational lectures in a beautiful ED Room and attends fairs and events regularly. Each cat has access to an outdoor run and lots of kitty friends. Some cats live in a beautiful outdoor area with air conditioned houses to lounge in. The volunteer staff is friendly and welcoming. The grounds are well taken care of and safe. The sanctuary practices trap neuter and release as well. This is a great program that allows cats to be happy and free while keeping newborn kittens off the streets. I give this organization a 5 and you will too. Please visit us before you adopt a cat or kitten.

I attended a "Kitten Shower" for the first time in May of this year. It was also the first time I visited a little piece of heaven called Hobe Sound Animal Sanctuary. My friends and I didn't know what to expect and were delighted with everything we saw.

There was a wonderful relationship between the cats, kittens and volunteers. When I spoke to others about the Sanctuary, I was surprised that not many people knew about the incredible work they do or where they are located.

I am a Pet Trainer at PetSmart and every weekend HSAPL would have kittens/cats available for adoption.. I was impressed with their kindness and determination and I actually adopted a kitten for my husband! After some time of getting to know the women, I realized how much they cared and asked if I could help in any way. I am proud to say that my husband and I are foster parents to these beautiful cats who deserve to be loved until adoption. About eight years ago, a group of cat lovers discovered a feral cat colony and got busy spaying and neutering each of them. Upon doing so, we discovered many kittens; but, we didn't know how to market them so they would have a chance to find good homes. Because of those kittens, we found Hobe Sound Animal Protection League. Being that they were a non-profit organization, we were allow to promote our kittens through Petsmart Chaities. I have volunteered at the Sanctuary ever since.

This organization is nothing short of stellar! My former wife had "adopted" 4 feral cats in a gated community. While there is a wildlife foundation in the community, many of the neighbors banded together and actually tried to trap the cats and remove them!! One of the cats became domesticated enough to incorporate into my wife's existing clan. The other 3 were placed in the HSAPL's, Caring Fields, a facility of fenced acreage complete with housing, litter boxes and even a dedicated medical facility staffed by volunteer veterinarians to ensure the health and well being of the over 200 resident feral cats. It truly is beyond description. The dedication of Director Pauline Glover is be exemplary. She is a miracle for these feral souls.

After my grandfather passed away, he left behind many beloved cats.
Although these cats made an unfortunate stop at another rescue, they eventually ended up at HSAPL. Once I met Pauline Glover and toured the sanctuary I knew my grandfathers cats would be in good hands and have a forever home. It truly is a sanctuary.
Pauline and the staff went above and beyond to make sure all the cats were acclimated to their new surroundings. It's takes a lot of hard work and dedication to run such a large sanctuary, and all the staff and volunteers are just that, dedicated! And wonderful!
All the cats have indoor and outdoor access and plenty of room to roam. It's clean and well kept. Truly a wonderful place.
HSAPL is also a great place to volunteer. Both of my children had their first volunteering experience at HSAPL and they loved it.
It's definitely a special place, we love HSAPL! Thank you for all you do and all you've done for our family.

A feral cat colony was getting out of control at my place of business and had 6 kittens in my bathtub. It was the second litter in as many months and was desperate for help. I was given Pauline's number [Executive Director of HSAPL] and with her help, and a remarkable trapper, Daria, the colony has been spayed/neutered and the kittens placed in wonderful homes.

Last year I became a volunteer to repay their kindness but now consider it a privilege to be associated with such an amazing group of dedicated people.

If anyone is looking for a cause to champion, I urge you to visit the website. www.hsapl.org, or the Sanctuary itself. You will come away a changed person after touring the grounds and meeting the wonderful feline residents.

From the moment I visited the sanctuary I knew there was something special about Hobe Sound Animal Protection League. The cats run freely in open, protected areas and the whole place gives off a vibe of peace and tranquility. Most of the people that work for the organization are volunteers so a huge percentage of donations received goes straight to help the cats. The organization works hard to promote spay/neuter with the long range goal of reducing feline overpopulation through adoption, spay/neuter and education--goals which are important to me!
