I'm reminded today, that it's been 7 years since I was first introduced and enrolled to the Men's Program at Care Center Ministries. Looking back at all of my personal struggles, addictive behaviors, pride, fears, anxieties, and sin - it's just amazing to think that God would rescue and redeem someone like me!
I am so thankful that I have a new life in Christ today. I have been reborn, and I am a new man. A new creation with a new set of values and principles that I live by. I have a foundation in Christ, that I would have never been able to obtain, had it not been for the investment of time and energy and resources, that the entire CCM team spent on me - to God be the glory! Wow, He is so good!
In 2007, I would have never thought that reaching 7 years of sobriety was a possibility. But today, it's almost strange to think that I even used to be a different person, that old man! I won't ever forget what He did for me. Thank you to the entire CCM team for your testimony, your support, your encouragement, and everything you do every day!
Back in 2000, my ex-husband joined the RACE program. We were in the process of getting divorced at the time. I attended a church service at his request and I ended up accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior! We reconciled for a time and God changed my life. Although our marriage did not make it, my relationship with God is still strong today. I believe in the work Care Center does in the lives of many! In the past few years, God has brought me back to Care Center in different ways. The church I attend has minimally assisted with Sidewalk Sunday School in the past. We were also able to have our 4th and 5th grade discipleship program serve the men and women a Christmas dinner this past year. God is using this place in a MIGHTY way! Thank you God!
I was one of the first graduates of the Race Program,a residential discipleship program that was/is under the cover of CCM. This was nearly 26 years ago when I discovered,no actually admitted that my life was completely out of control. I spent 7 years there with CCM,learning and acquiring the truth, skills and values while being developed ,better yet...forged. Since then I have taken those values and principles I obtained as a foundation and built upon it over the past years. I went from the new guy with just a couple hours of sobriety at the start of my journey and have literally found favor nearly everywhere that I had been afterwards by applying these principles. Principles that are/were taught and more so lived out on daily basis.(true discipleship). I became an associate program manger of a 309 bed residential and transitional facility with 43 staff state and federal! I actually obtained my LCDC and CCJP... Thats quite a turnabout for an ex outlaw / addict...imagine that. Had it not been for Care Center Ministries... I dont know that I would have ever came out of my addiction or began the process of becoming a man instead of a wounded child trapped in man's body! The daily principles, commitment and transparent honesty and the christian principles the spiritual side of addictions and so much more played a very important part of my future. I am very honored and proud of that place to this very day! You want a place where you can see the word of G-d being lived out on daily basis.....this is the place.
I came to the women's home 15 years ago, with a broken heart, self destructive, addicted & without hope. Care Center helped me have a relationship with Jesus, which lead to the healing of my heart, freedom from addiction, and restoration of my family.I met my husband there and we have served faithfully there together and we have a family at Care Center Ministries forever!
My granddaughter spent two weeks in your program, however she is still in the clutch of drugs and was not able to submit to authority. She is still submitting to drugs, they are her master right now. Thank you for trying to help her and maybe some day she will come back to this program. I understand what you do is tough love and as you try to break this rebellious root it is a big challenge. I am very grateful for this ministry and my prayers are with you. I will help financially at times so others that are ready to break away from the bondage of drugs and alcohol and are ready to come to the Lord can be truly set be free. I believe that the Lord will continue to reach out to her and we as her family will continue praying for her and others in this pit of darkness. God bless you.
I came to CareCenter Ministries Women's Home 14 years ago hopeless, addicted to drugs and alcohol. I tried other avenues and nothing worked. The women's home gave me hope and a future, which taught me biblical principles for life and survival, leading to deliverance from drugs and alcohol. I also became aware of my purpose in life, and that was to give back! I now stand alongside with my husband, who is the men's 1st phase home director. Thank You CareCenter Ministries.
Care Center Ministries has been helping men and women turn from addictions, delinquencies and hopelessness to productive lives as good citizens and dependable workers. This awesome ministry and I have been well acquainted since its beginning.
CCM has an extraordinary record of serving the least, the last and the lost. In recent years, CCM relocated to the heart of the most needy neighborhood in all of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex: Pleasant Grove.
My wife and I contribute to this ministry, because it's "good soil" in which to sow.
I am a pastor for Inspired Vision Church, and founder of A+ Charter Schools. Care Center Ministries has provided after school programs for our children. Many of our students went to their summer camps. These children were from low income homes. They were so blessed to be able to attend these. They are a very giving, caring organization. They provide food to hundreds of families through The Basket.
Dallas is blessed by having such a God inspired group. Thank you Care Centers for all you do.
