I have been a board member for Capital Area Peer Services (CAPS) for a number of years -- one of the challenges and high points of my life. I am working with many bright, skilled, committed individuals on building an organization that does some amazing things with very little for those among us who are recovering from diagnoses of mental illness.

I have worked in the mental health field in various capacities (hospital mental health technician, computer teacher) over my life but CAPS is the first peer-run organization I've been closely connected to. My belief in our peer services continues to grow as I see the benefits every day. Peer to peer services work!
