I spent 35 years in years in the military and i know what it takes to be a soldier, a law enforcement officer, a firefighter, and a member of the Rescue Squad. It takes courage above and beyond. Cannon County Rescue Squad is made up of an all volunteer force. These men and women are dedicated and devoted. These men and women are the kind of brave warriors I want on my Rescue Squad. If you ever need the services of a Rescue Squad, you can rest assured that your life or the life of your loved ones are in the hands of the best devoted, best trained and best prepared rescue squad. The Leadership and Chain of Command is truly outstanding. These men and women care. God Bless the Cannon County Rescue Squad and their Leadership.
Cannon County is blessed to have a group of men & women that are truly dedicated to being the best they can be at serving our community. They are hard-working, dependable, efficient and caring. While much of this comes from their individual good character, it is cemented by the organization's leadership. The Cannon County Rescue Squad always has great attendance at their meetings, the equipment and facilities are always in good order. Being retired from a public sector career that demanded attention to detail and efficiency to increase the bottom line, I have great respect for this organization that does it for the citizens of this community.
The volunteer Rescue Squad is there when you need them. They exemplify the best of our community standing ready to assist when an emergency occurs.
I gladly contribute annually to enable the organization to sustain.
So very proud to know we have such a great group of ladies and gentlemen that are so willing to give of their own time from their families to be there for whatever and whenever we may need them. They make selfless sacrifices that most of us just seem to take for granted. They keep updated equipment and updated classes all by fund raisers or donations because these people don't get paid for all the hard work they do. We should all be so grateful to have such a great nonprofit in our community.
The Cannon County Rescue Squad is a very well trained and hard working team of volunteers that are well trained in various types of rescue. This squad is always training and working to make sure that the missions and calls are handled with the latest equipment and techniques to ensure that their patients are well taken care of. The Cannon County Rescue Squad is a great asset for the citizens of Cannon County, its visitors and the State of Tennessee.

We are very fortunate to have the brave men and women of the CCRS serving our community. It is operated with the upmost efficiency and professionalism by some of our most talented citizens. We can all take comfort in the fact that these selfless volunteers are here to provide their services in perilous situations. The sacrifices they make in order to serve our community should not go unnoticed. Thank you!
The Cannon County Rescue Squad's service to the Cannon County Senior Center and the community is much appreciated. They willingly set-up at community events, such as Cannon County Good Ole Days, to provide education, resources, and be available if there is an emergent need. As a vendor at the Senior Center's annual Health Fair, they assist senior citizens with signing up for the Yellow Dot Program so they will be prepared if involved in a accident or medical emergency. The Rescue Squad also ensures that the Senior Center's AED equipment is operational and ready for use at all times. Their time, dedication, and services are invaluable to the citizens of Cannon County. - Deborah Leach, Cannon County Senior Center Director
I have had the privilege of serving as a board member for the CCRS for the past few years. I have always been very impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the leadership and members. I am amazed at the willingness of these individuals to give so much of their own time while asking for nothing in return. I am very thankful to have the CCRS as a part of our community. Steven Smith
I have been familiar with Cannon County Rescue Squad for several years now and these are some of the most top notch people in their craft. I have come to understand that we call them volunteers, but in all actuality they pay to be on the Rescue Squad. By that I mean that they use their own personal vehicles to respond on calls, they give of their time to not only respond on calls but to also assist with fund raising and monthly meetings. The Cannon County Rescue Squad has some of the most dedicated individuals in Cannon County that are willing to make sacrifices of their own time and resources in order to help others in their time of need. Between the professionalism, dedication, and excellent skills they portray each time they are needed on a call, I want to give a big shout out and thankyou to all of these wonderful men and women at the Cannon County Rescue Squad. God bless each and every one of you!!!
Cannon County is fortunate to have the dedicated and hard working members of the CCRS. This organization is committed to providing quality emergency services to our community. With experienced leadership and Volunteer members always willing to learn new skills, the CCRS is one of the most efficient and effective organizations around.
I started in 1987 as a volunteer with the Cannon County Rescue Squad. We had very little at the time but we had men who cared enough to keep things going. Over the years I have served as a Deputy, Fireman, Police Officer and Police Chief in Cannon County. I now serve the Tennessee Highway Safety Office under the Tn Department of Safety and Homeland Security. I have watched this department grow as a volunteer organization, never focusing on what they couldn't do but utilizing what they had and striving for the best. It has worked, they are nothing short of top notch. They have worked hard to get grants, raise money, and more than anything they have a servants heart for the public. It is comforting in times of need to see them arrive knowing they have what it takes to get the job done and serve in their designated capacity.
Very thankful to have our local Rescue Squad available for emergencies. It takes special people and skills to volunteer their time in this community effort!
I have served on many civic, business and government, boards over the years in Cannon county. There is none that is run more efficiently than the CCRS. Year in and year out every penny is accounted for. They also have written long term goals that they update every year. They have a dedicated group of ladies and men that serve this community well. They are all volunteers and they all stand ready 24/7 to respond to any rescue situation that they are called to. I applaud each one of them for their service! Mitch Wilson
CCRS is an amazing organization of the most dedicated volunteers ever. Their only focus is to help serve, save, & protect the citizens of Cannon County. They work very hard to secure funding by many means without relying on totally on appropriately county and city funding. This organization is a highly valued asset to citizens of Cannon County
This organization is an all volunteer group. When needed they are there to assist our community no matter the time or incident. I personally know many of those who volunteer their time for our community. These individuals work as a team.
Whether it be training, taking additional courses to ensure they have the most current and best training available to save a live or aid finding those who are lost. They are a valuable asset to our community.
Some members of this organization are in it for themselves. A few of which are in the leadership of this department. It is sad to see this organization moving in this direction.
The Cannon County Rescue Squad is a vital part of our county's response, rescue, and safety resources. It is truly amazing what this organization does being completely volunteer and solely supported by donations and grant funding, but provides highly skilled and specialized services to anyone in need in our county. Thanks for being an active part of our community.
With little financial support it is amazing how well trained and organized this Rescue Squad is. Using only volunteers they supply all the extrication and support for all the other emergency agencies in Cannon County. I am proud to have this group supporting our community. I am happy they are able to be there when other agencies need them 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Thank you folks for all you do, God bless you and be careful out there!
A dedicated group of men and women saving lives in Cannon County and Middle Tennessee.
