Cancer Support Team has been a miracle in my life. From the moment I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in May 2003, CST has been a continual support. Patty Vaughn called me weekly, unsolicited, to see how I was doing. She has facilitated an important support group that I've attended for the last 7 years. Judy Delahanty was a tremendous support through one-on-one psychotherapy. Whenever I call the office, I'm greeted in such a lovely manner - the staff are like angels dropped down from heaven - I always feel their hugs!
In addition to the wonderful staff, the services I've been fortunate enough to receive are free.
The Cancer Support Team is a wonderful resource serving residents of lower Westchester County in New York. The nonprofit offers nursing, social work and support services to those affected by cancer - and all services are provided at no charge!!
While advocating for helpline clients, I had the pleasure of working with Lucille Winton, their Coordinator of Patient and Family Services, who impressed me with her professionalism and dedication to her clients. I discovered that the Cancer Support Team, though a small agency, has a big impact on those they serve.
