Like Gilda Radner said, "having cancer gave me membership in an elite club that I'd rather not belong to." I became a member after seeing brochures at Magee where my surgery and treatments were conducted. When I felt it was time to join, my husband and I had new member intake meetings. We were asked in depth about our needs and our wants. The Club is so welcoming, both with staff and volunteers, but also with activities that engage us in growth. Working, laughing, talking, not explaining......... And if I miss seeing something on the calendar that I might like, I often get a call of invitation. These people CARE.

Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Our mission is to create welcoming communities of support for everyone living with cancer—men, women, teens, and children —along with their families and friends. Our unique program is an essential complement to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, education and social activities. All of the activities are offered to our members at no cost and membership is free.
Results: Since our opening in 1988, Our Clubhouse has welcomed more than 15,000 members.

Programs: • Support Groups cover topics such as specific diagnoses, living with cancer, bereavement, living life post treatment, and many others. • One-on-One Support consists of our clinical staff meeting with you and your family for additional support. Available to adults and children. • Health & Wellness Workshops like yoga, meditation, healthy cooking classes and more, help improve your emotional well-being. • Art & Expression Workshops allow you to learn a new skill, like knitting or painting, among the company of others. • Lectures cover a variety of topics such as treatments, emotional well-being, and alternative therapies. • Social Activities provide a great atmosphere to celebrate every day. You can join us for seasonal parties, game nights, potluck dinners, and more. We are dedicated to creating a community of support for everyone living with cancer – men, women, teens and children – along with their families and friends. All of our programs and activities are 100% free.
