My child attended the 7-8 year old week. During this time a horrible storm hit and children and staff were sent home because it was not safe for them to be at camp and not knowing when/if they could return. We paid $335 for a week of camp - my son was dropped off Sunday at 4:30pm and was picked up 11:30am on Tuesday. They have “generously “ offered a refund of $40 cash, $50 for credit next year or the monies can be donated. My child will not be returning, Camp Whitley was not even prepared for a storm. They had no generators on hand and had to post an URGENT request for some the morning after which was then deleted. The kids were invited back Thursday after 1pm - I had already had to find other care for the week since when he was sent home there was no timeline of return. Camp Whitley you should be ashamed.

My grandparents, mother, myself and my two siblings along with thousands of others in my community have attended this camp. Kids here get to learn new things like archery, riflery and swimming. They also get to learn how to form friends with kids their age as well as their counselors, all without their cell phones. It’s a place of pure joy and 100 year old traditions. It truly is a beautiful treasure in our little corner of Indiana.

Wonderful camp that focuses on youth development. They put emphasis on no technology and allowing kids to be kids. Great family tradition. My great grandpa went in the 1930's!
