Mission: Camp twin lakes (ctl), founded in 1993, is a non profit organization that offers year round recreational, theraputic and educational programs for children facing serious illness, disabilities and other physical, emotional and social challenges. In collaboration with more than 60 community non-profit partners, ctl provides year round life changing experiences at its 2 fully accessible and medically supportive campsites located in rutledge and winder, ga; at summer camp in warm springs, ga. And through hospital-based camp programs across the state. Annually, we serve approximately 10,000 campers and leverage 3,500 volunteers. Ctl subsidizes 70% of the cost to send each child to camp.
Programs: Program accomplishments include operating two year round campsites, one summer site, and camp-to-go programs within local pediatric hospitals to serve more than 10,000 children with serious illness and disabilities each year. Our campsites are medically supportive and fully accessible to meet the unique needs of the children we serve. Ctl subsidizes 70% of the cost of camp for every camper served.
