Camp Laurel is an organization that has an immeasurable impact on both the children and families that are affected by HIV/AIDS. It provides the children with a foundation of love and support. All of the children go through extremely difficult times at such an early age and Camp Laurel is a relief for the children in that it makes them aware of the fact that many other children go through similar hardships. Most importantly, Camp Laurel teaches children essential life skills and challenges children to persevere through hardships.

Camp Laurel is such a fantastic for EVERYONE involved...the kids, the parents, the staff. Campers looks forward to Camp Laurel all year and the staff really sets it up to encourage the kids to stretch their positivity beyond camp walls. Definitely 5 stars.

I believe in the service Camp Laurl provides to its' campers. I have had the great pleasure of watching campers grow up and the organization make such an impact on their lives. I have been volunteering with Camp Laurel for the last 9 years, and I still believe in the good that the Camp is doing to make sure the campers grow up happy, responsible and loved.

Camp Laurel and its director, Margot Anderson, have been a guiding light for children with AIDS/HIV and their siblngs for a number of years. I've helped out with the bike rides designed to raise funds to help these kids with summer/winter camping experiences. It's really great to be able to help others and feel really good about what you do at the same time. I've been working with Margot and the crew for the last seven years and it never ceases to be fun and rewarding.

Hey all. My name is Erik Escareño. Camp Laurel means so much to me. I was once a camper. I am all grown up now and I am a counselor, and a cyclists. I ride for the kids. I can sit and tell you stories of the days when I was a kid, how special it was to feel accepted and not judged. How wonderful it felt to be accepted, nurtured, and befriended. How awesome it felt that I was cared for while having fun. I can tell you stories of giving back to this camp, my home away from home. My family. Some say when you go to disneyland as a customer and if you work there its different. The magic at camp is there when I worked there, camped there, and now ride for them. I am just another human being asking to help keep my camp, my family together. Erik Escarenño
