I have been attending this park since Uncle Glen first started building on it. Camp Hamilton has many many awesome irreplaceable memories for me and my family. It taught me to have such a great honor and respect for our service men and women. My grandfather has a memorial tree planted in his honor. I love this place and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Love you Uncle Glen.

Just by chance I visited Camp Hamilton Veterans Memorial Park 11-11-2015, Veterans Day. I learned of a special gathering to honor my brother in law, Rayburn Charles Tritch, along with other Veterans . This was a very moving experience. A living tree will be identified as a memorial for his service in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. The Park was filled with other Veteran memorial plaques by individual trees. All branches of U.S. Military were represented. I wish to learn more about this Honorable place. There were around 25 relatives (maybe more) of Rayburn's family in attendance . May God Bless the patriotic persons who are responsible for this Park, and this special service. Ed Doyel

Camp Hamilton is the best in the area for recognizing and supporting local veterans. Unlike most veteran appreciation services that only recognize their service men and women twice a year during Veteran's Day and Memorial Day, Camp Hamilton recognizes the veterans everyday by giving veteran's a place to live if needed, a place to meet other veterans and a place to heal. Set out side of the city of Bakersfield, Camp Hamilton plants trees in memory of lost veterans and helps those that are left behind find their roots with the respect, dignity and time that they need. Our veterans need our support and time and anything that can be done to help them will never be forgotten by these brave soliders!
