These people are power hungry supervisors exerting power over those who have no power. Bullies. One young lady in the mail room and the lady who runs the showers are just so eager to throw people out if they speak up

@camillus_house I have this bad story to tell you so that you do not believe that everything is real, this is really happening to me right now as a business owner I own several properties which I rent to plan 8 and to people who need help, I made a contract with Camillus house @camillus_house in April 2024 through Chelsea Gaidwood because a tenant Dalayja Williams told me that she did not have the funds to move but she had this agency that paid her the first month, the last month and the deposit to move to my property, which I have done before with other non-profit agencies and I have never had this problem, Mrs. Chelsea Gaidwood guaranteed me that it was a 2 to 5 week process to receive payment and I innocently to help this Williams woman with 4 children I let her move to my property since she had nowhere to live to be able to help it turns out that the @camillus_house agency has been since April and we are in August without paying me what was agreed in the contract and I have had to remove the tenant Williams from the property causing vandalism, without paying me rent and she has lived there since May, June and July that she simply left my property and no one has paid me a single cent with this I tell you how @camillus_house is going to sign a payment agreement with me and not pay me anything, where are the donations that you yourselves make, where does the money that you yourselves donate so honestly go? I am so frustrated with this problem that I cannot believe the nightmare I am living. I ask for your help in this case and I want to make it public to stop the frauds and injustices to the property owners who only lose money, time and that is why we can no longer believe anyone or non-profit agencies @camillus_house DO NOT DONATE ANYMORE IT IS ALL A FRAUD.

Camillus House staff doesn't care about the homeless nor what they do to them and doesn't provide much services to those with disabilities.

The M Network has been advocating for The Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust since 2009 as the agency of record, working tirelessly to raise awareness for homelessness in our community.

The Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust serves as the lead agency for Miami-Dade County's homeless Continuum of Care (CoC). It's responsible for homeless policy and acting as the County's fiscal agent with respect to state and federal grants that impact many homeless providers, including Camillus House.

At The M Network, we love working alongside Camillus House and its team of exceptional individuals who are champions for the unhoused in our community. Thank you for your continued dedication.

My family has had the honor of volunteering at Camillus House for several years. We are so appreciative of being able to help Camillus House achieve their mission of helping the poor, homeless and underserved in our community. For decades they have been doing so much good in South Florida and helping so many people. One of our favorites ways we help is by coordinating a shoe drive each year to collect new or gently worn shoes for the homeless. Since we started this drive in 2019, we have collected over 25,000 pairs of shoes which have gone to those Camillus House serves. Another project we enjoy volunteering with is an annual book drive we work on to collect books to donate to the Library at Camillus House. The team at Camillus House is amazing and always such a pleasure to work with!

Camillus does great work in Miami-Dade. They are such a visible presence in the community and it's comforting to know that they are available to help!

I've been fortunate to never need access to their services, but have witnessed the good work that they do.

I have had the honour of visiting Camillus House twice in the last 4 years. On both occasions, I left with a feeling of complete humbleness after seeing the awesome work that all the staff do; their dedication and motivation to help others was overwhelming, and could not fail to impress. An amazing organisation with amazing staff who commit themselves to amazing accomplishments.

Camillus House is a great blessing to our community. They are blessed and spare no effort of cost to bless the most vulnerable and needy people. They are simply wonderful folks and a world class operation helping the hungry, homeless, and needy. I know because they helped me change my life during a difficult time. So, I am both a client served and a donor and hope to be able to volunteer in the future.

My name is R. Andrews and I came to Camillus House in 2009 for the residential drug treatment program because I had a problem with drugs and alcohol. I completed the program and I was able to get permanent housing at Shepherd's Court. Camillus helped me pick myself up, made me feel better about myself. I began to trust myself and others began to trust me. Camillus trusted me when no one else trusted me. They gave me a chance when no one gave me a chance. Today, I feel good about myself and I'm grateful that I am able to enjoy my relationship with my grandson. Doc James, Fred, Wayne, and Elizabeth have been very supportive of me and have always treated me with respect.

I came to Camillus House in 2005 for residential treatment. I was able to get a job after finishing treatment and I learned how to be a productive member of society. I'm still clean and I live in one of the permanent housing programs that Camillus House has. I am grateful for the chance of having met some great staff members. Fred, Elizabeth, Kathy, Ms. B, Sandra and Betty, and Kathy are all good people. Joe was my mentor. They were patient with me and they knew that I had some limitations and they worked with me. To this day, I still see my counselor every week and we still do sessions. She gives me the support and encourages me to do the right thing. They were there for me when my father passed away. That's something that I'll never forget.

I was a client for a long time and I then came in the Courtyard. I received case management from a good case manager who was kind and respectful to me and shared with me that I could benefit from going into another Camillus program. I was referred and I was able to stay there until I got permanent housing in a Camillus House program. I now come to the main campus and volunteer and give back. I make sure that things are clean and organized, the same way it was when I was a client. This organization does a lot of good work. But every now and then you get a few bad apples that want to cause trouble. I thank everyone at Camillus for being kind, supportive, and accepting of me. They are my family.

the workers are absolutely notrocious to us homeless people. this facility has stolen my tax return check and illegally cashed it. this facility has stolen my indentification cards 3 seperate times from the mail room. this facility has banned me from the property since 2010, thats 3 years but made an i.d. card stating im a member since 2010. this facility has took my personal information and made an i.d. with someone else picture, i seen it in their system and the card copied. this facility would not voucher for me to get housing assistance through the maimi hands program in 2009 stating its a clash of their interest. im waiting on disability for 16 months and this facility still refuses to help me recieve any sheltering. the facility director and my former case manager both charged me $50/mo. for a mat to sleep on in 2009, when i had a grave-yard shift job and would not allow me to rest during the day when i was off. this facility has called police on me at least 4 -5 times becouse i tried to retrieve my mail. this facility is a cover up, they just want people to enroll in the drug program so they can make a $15,000 profit per drug client. i do not use drugs and refuse to act like i do for a bed with 2-3 other men in the room. there is no protection for us homeless people becouse this facility is protected by the city of miami. i worked my whole life and have $180,000 of earned income under my social. i worked when i first came to miami in 2008, but this facility is aimed to keeping people on the streets. now i injure myself virtually every night sleeping on concrete, wear the same clothes becouse the other shelters do not have any available, i only eat 1 small meal a day becouse i cant earn an income. CAMILLUS HOUSE IS A FRAUD COMPANY........... I WILL GET MYSELF OFF THE STREETS WITH MY HEART AND GOD, CAMILLUS IS NOT A CHRISTIAN BASED PLACE AT ALL
