Causes: Recreational Clubs, Sports
Mission: Promote amateur athletic swim training and competition. Promote nationally sanctioned and recreational competitive swim meets at local, state and national levels.
Programs: The boomers had two current/former swimmers graduate high school, both qualify for college level swimming. The boomers also participated in several community activities including parades and charitable events, notably assistance to hurricane matthew victims.
two swimmers qualified for usa swimming jr state meet; one qualified for sr state meet. The team competed in meets in savannah, brunswick, atlanta, athens, tifton, waycross, douglas, kingsland ga, as well as jacksonville and daytona beach, fl. Membership averaged 50 swimmers in 2016. The club also ran the grpa summer swimming program for our area, with volunteer labor of members and coaches daily from may 15-july 20 2017.
