Calvary Food Pantry Cny

I have been volunteering at Calvary Food Pantry for 4 months now and absolutely love being there. The other volunteers are great and I have come to know so many of our clients. This group of people is my Auburn family.
I am in awe how well run this pantry is with everyone knowing their task and efficiently doing it.
The monthly food items are pulled and bagged by the volunteers after the client places the order. The order may include canned and boxed items as well as dairy and frozen items. In the main area of the pantry are shelves that clients can bag their own preferences in breads, baked goods as well as fresh fruits and veggies. This winter we have been able to offer our clients a full array of fresh fruit and vegetables regularly. Off to the side of the main area there are clothes for our clients to take when they find something in their size. We also welcome clean donations back from them!

The volunteers at Calvary Food Pantry CNY, Inc., are very nice, caring and most efficient. The pantry is clean, friendly and effective with good quality food, produce and baked goods. Although the later three are sometimes not available because it goes so fast.

I recently became aware of the place known locally as the "Pantry" in Auburn, NY. The Calvary Food Pantry CNY, Inc., has the best food provider team I've ever seen, almost as effective as the military but with the kinder, gentler presentation while maintaining a concern for safety and security. They have some pretty good food, produce and baked goods, too!

I've been a client at Calvary Food Pantry CNY, Inc., for several months. I am a senior and live in the City of Auburn, New York. I've found the Calvary Food Pantry to be an awesome experience providing food items I need, at ever visit. I've never had a bad experience at this pantry and the people here are most helpful, hard working and always positive. I've spoke with others who have need at Calvary who feel as I do and are just as impressed about this organizations community service. For many, this pantry is a life saver for many, being a life changer, as they have no other place to turn for feeding their families. While others need short term or occasional repetitive help with the poor economy. I guess this makes Calvary Food Pantry CNY, one keystone organization for this community.

I've found Calvary Food Pantry CNY, Inc. to be totally great, they are very helpful, caring and wonderful with food, produce and baked goods. Everyone here seems to be very special at doing what they do in getting our food request processed, orders put together, and brought out to us for pick up. The Calvary Food Pantry CNY, Inc. 90 Franklin St., is a fantastic organization with the greatest friendly volunteers, they really try hard to do better for you each time I come in as a client. They've gone out of their way to help with food provisions to help me through these trying economic times. THANKS Calvary Food Pantry. Oh yeah, they have nice used leather chairs to set and wait for the volunteers to bag up the food orders - very nice.

I've been volunteering here at the Calvary Food Pantry for over two years and feel that it is time well spent. There's so many people that need our help to feed their families. They are always so appreciative of everything they get from us. The people I've met have been wonderful, especially Nancy who runs the pantry. What a gem she is. How lucky we all are to have her in that capacity.

The Calvary Food Pantry has provided significant help to my family with tremendous results. The food stock items are of good quality, a real value to us who have so little, and make us feel we are worthy of the love of these people who help us at the pantry. They are full of Grace!

Calvary Food Pantry has really done well by me and my family with food at the end of the month when we are short of necessities always needed in the family. The volunteers are wonderful and responsive to my needs, and flex with some personal items like bar soap, dish detergent, shampoo, tooth brushes and toothpaste along with the most important item - toilet paper! All volunteers and staff at Calvary Food Pantry are very helpful and caring. They are quick to respond to the needs of those who even aren't in CFP's area of responsibility. Each time I visit this pantry with a new client they are responsive, dedicated and over the top in response to my social worker clients just coming into the program. A great place to get supplemental food. Good friendly people, who care and actually try to help the community. They have free clothes, shoes, and other items that one can pick out along with food pantry food items. Hats and coats and gloves as the cold season starts to roll in on us.

I think that Calvary Food Pantry is doing the very best to meet the needs of my communities families who need help! Occasionally, they do not have enough foods and parse out because the don't get enough donations locally and fund raisers are lacking. Too bad, many families are running short of food these days.

Well managed, Welcoming agency. The Pantry serves more than 1,000 families a year, every person is treated with respect and dignity.

Calvary Food Pantry is by far one of the greatest food pantries I've ever had the privilege of being at. They go above and beyond to make sure that the people of this community have what they need. They do everything they can to provide for people. Not only do they give food, when they have it they give free clothing, toiletries, household items and more. They work tremendously hard for their community. Besides giving of things the Calvary staff and volunteers also offer compassion and concern for individuals, listening to people and offering them friendship even if it's through a cup of coffee. Calvary does make a difference in their community and they are a light shining in the darkness for many! I'm honored to be a part of them.
