Mission: The california housing partnership corporation (chpc) assists nonprofit and government housing agencies to create and preserve housing affordable to lower-income households, while providing leadership on housing policy and funding.
Programs: Chpc provided financial technical assistance and training services to 60 public and private organizations on the consutruction and financing of 162 affordable housing developments throughout california in 2017.
chpc's green affordable housing preservation and production program provided technical assistance, training, advocacy support, research and education on the preservation and production of affordable housing in california. In 2017, our program efforts focused primarly on increasing awareness of the impacts of the shortage of affordable housing and on increasing resources for the developers of affordable housing to improve the energy efficiency and overall longevity of their existing developments. We also advocated strongly for increased state and federal financial support of affordable housing in california.
