Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: The mission of the california disability services association is to advocate for and strengthen member organizations and to ensure public and government support of services for persons with developmental disabilities.
Programs: Government affairs - working through cdsa's lobbyists and member interaction with policymakers, cdsa communicated its concerns on a variety of issues related to services for persons with developmental disabilities and funding to support these services. In addition, cdsa provided support to members dealing with regulatory issues.
communications - cdsa provided timely reports through legislative updates, action alerts, and a monthly newsletter.
conferences and meetings - cdsa held a legislative affairs conference and reception for legislators. The association worked with the cds institute to hold an annual membership meeting and two regional policy meetings. Seven caucuses held regular meetings on a quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly basis.
