Mission: California community opportunity's primary purpose is to support individuals with developmental disabilities to lead safe, successful, enriching lives in their local communities. Cco's philosophy and core values for accomplishing it's purpose reflect beliefs regarding human dignity, quality of life, learning, constitutional rights, democratic ideals, hope and a spirit of energy, idealism, faith and determination. Cco recognizes that the same core values and philosophy must be consistently applied to its employees as they assist the persons served in reaching toward and achieving their fullest human potential. Cco has chosen to utilize the family teaching model (ftm) and extended family teaching model (eftm) as our models of service because they embody the core values our organization is based upon.
