Mission: California alliance of caregivers represents the voice of relative and non-relative caregivers to promote the well-being of children in foster care. California alliance of caregivers (cac) participates in statewide meetings, workgroups and roundtables to give the caregiver perspective on services and supports to children in foster care. Cac engages caregivers in advocacy for the services and supports needed to provide high quality foster care. Cac trains local support groups, and convenes a statewide monthly meeting of support group leaders. Cac organizes a caregiver day at the capitol for caregivers to educate policymakers on what is needed to support the children in their care.
Programs: California alliance of caregivers ambassadors california alliance of caregivers (cac) convenes monthly conference calls with caregiver support group leaders from around the state for information sharing.
