I recently had a baby and he is currently in the nicu. I haven’t been really getting much mail but something said to check the mail and this beautiful card and gift card was inside of this nice packaging waiting on me. This was right on time because my family was in need of a few things. The gift card was nice but it was the message inside the card that really touched my heart and soul. I will cherish this card and foundation forever. I truly thank you so much.

Caidens Hope is one of the most reliable and helpful resources! As a social worker in Alabama, we have such limited resources to give our families who have very sick neonates with long hospital stays. A lot of our families have to put their lives on hold to be with their babies, which leads to a lot of financial stress and concern. Every time I reach out to Wayne, I hear back from him. He goes above and beyond to serve our families diligently and is so easy to work with. We value Caiden's Hope so much at UAB Women & Infant's Center, and appreciate the efforts and kindness shown by this organization.

I've watched Wayne work tirelessly to support this amazing mission. He takes great care to educate the community about a sensitive topic, and he goes to great lengths to provide support families need. Having volunteered at many of Caiden's Hope events, I'm very blessed to witness, first-hand, how this GREAT non-profit lends a helping hand to families in need, when they need it most.

As a multi-year volunteer with Caiden's Hope Foundation, I have witnessed Wayne & Sharleen Keller's unconditional and selfless dedication to helping families with urgent financial needs while their preemie infants were in hospital NICUs around the nation. As founders of Caiden's Hope, they have traveled countless miles, working unbelievable hours, to host fundraising events, with absolutely no personal gain for them. Caiden's Hope is truly extraordinary in the nonprofit arena, and I highly recommend them for Great Nonprofits! Thank you for the opportunity to review Caiden's Hope.

Caiden's Hope is a great nonprofit, as they are always out in the community spreading their message across all platforms. I have had the chance on numerous occasions, meeting with one of their representative Mr. Wayne Keller himself, and all the good things he does for Caiden's Hope. Whether it's letting people at the Greater Chamber of San Antonio know what Caiden's Hope is and stands for, or continuously letting members know about the upcoming events, and seeing always about donations and sponsorships that may be needed.

Some friends of ours had a baby a month premature. The baby had to stay in the NICU for 2 months. Mom was able to stay near the hospital at a family member's house, but dad had to commute back & forth 50 miles each way because they also have a little girl that needed to be able to go to school. Caiden's Hope provided a gas card to help alleviate the cost of driving back & forth. Caiden's Hope can't take away the stress away of having a baby in the NICU, but they can give a little bit of financial relief.

The birth of our daughter was a whirlwind of activity. In less than 24 hours we were transferred to a hospital 2.5 hours away from home, had an emergency c-section, became parents to our 1lb14oz premature daughter. With no questions asked caidens hope sent us a gift card that helped us with gas and food. We were at a point where we were trying to figure out how to make ends meet and still be there for our daughter.

Caidens Hope helped me so much when my premie son was in the NICU. Originally, my mother had used the last of her money and put me up in a hotel NEXT to the hospital, which was crazy expensive. But ,I had no vehicle and I didn't want to leave my son for 14 days!! I felt so bad, wondering how my mom was gonna pay for her bills, then my social worker from the U of U told me about Caidens Hope.
I contacted Caidens Hope and literally the NEXT day they helped put me up in a hotel WITH a shuttle to and from the hospital. They EVEN refunded my mother's money she spent on a hotel she couldn't afford.
I've never been so grateful!! My son is wild, smart, kind and my whole world.
THANK YOU CAIDENS HOPE. I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE WHAT YOU GUYS DID FOR ME AND MY SON!!

Our son Israel was born premature at 26 weeks. He was trying to make his way into the world at just 23 weeks. We were blessed to be able to keep him in the oven just a little longer. Little did we know, we were in for a long ride. With all of the craziness and worry, my husband continued to work while I was let go from my position at work. Caiden’s Hope was a blessing for us. Your help meant we could pay bills that I would normally be responsible for and my husband and I struggled to figure out how we would pay. Thank you for what you did for us and Thank you for what you do. If you don’t hear it enough it’s probably because we are so busy trying to make life work while we sit in the NICU at bedside filled with worry and concern. Please know your help is appreciated. We will be giving back to Caiden’s hope so that our contributions can help other families like ours. Keep your heads up and your prayers up, Moms and Dads… It’s all going to be ok!

He required a 10 hour open heart surgery and several months hospitalization in hospitals far away from home. Caiden’s Hope immediately sent gift cards to his parents to help with food, travel and lodging.

Our baby will be 6 months old tomorrow with lots of challenges still ahead But we are so thankful to Caiden’s Hope for providing assistance.

We absolutely love the work that Caiden’s Hope does, not only do they help relieve some of the financial strain when a baby is in the NICU but that small relief brings a glimmer of hope for parents who feel so hopeless and helpless not being able to do more for their sweet babies. I was sent a gift card with an amount that helped pay for gas to get me back and forth to see my son everyday while he was in the NICU. At such a hard time, being able to be there everyday was the best for my sons overall health and for my mental health. Wish I could do so much more for Caiden’s Hope, to be able to give families of NICU babies a little bit of hope!

When I learned about Caiden’s Hope and began to fully understand how it helped families whose premature babies were in Neonatal Intensive Care Units, sometimes for many months, I knew that this was the organization I could devote my heart to!

Though my family had not experienced having a preemie, my daughter had spent weeks in a hospital setting a thousand miles from home when her young adult son was in ICU having seizures. She didn’t tell anyone that she didn’t have money to stay in a hotel, or even enough money to buy meals; instead, she slept in chairs and literally had one sandwich a day until the little money she had ran out, and she finally reached out to family for help.

NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO BE IN THAT SITUATION!

So, when I learned That Caiden’s Hope Foundation helped pay for hotels, meals, gasoline, and other necessary expenses for families with their little ones in NICU, there was no question about whether I would do everything I possibly could to help in fundraising efforts. That was four years ago, I'm nearly 81, and I will continue helping as long as I am able to.

Our son, Nathaniel, was born 3 months premature with non-immune hydrops. He spent 99 days in the NICU and we lived an hour away but we did all we could to see him every single day. It was only after our son was home from the NICU and we went searching for a way to help other NICU families that we came across Caidens Hope. We spoke with Wayne Keller and got to know their hearts and decided to give back to this foundation who does so much for families in need and have never looked back. The Keller family is friendly and wise and every person involved in Caidens Hope has a heart of gold. They truly help so many families when they need it most. I can tell you from experience what an impact it makes to a family surviving the NICU to have just a little help but Caidens Hope goes far and beyond "little" and finds the way to make a big difference in the lives of every family they come into contact with. Beyond financial help...they truly give hope in a time that hope is scarcely available. They provide families with the ability to see their fragile children in the NICU to do life-changing kangaroo care and create a bond that can never be broken. When it feels like everyone around you is telling you not to get your hopes up (for your child's life) Caidens Hope comes in and says, "Here's money for traveling, parking, and food so you have less to worry about it". More people need to know about Caidens Hope and more families can receive help. Families should hear about all the ways Caidens Hope can help them before they leave the hospital!

It's been a pleasure raising money for them and seeing the impact on our community as well. I'll be fundraising and donating to Caidens Hope for the rest of its existence (which I hope is a very very long time). God bless you Caidens Hope!

It's wonderful how our supporters nationwide dig deep into their pockets to help families they don't know.

One out of every eight babies born in the USA is born premature and their parents need our assistance. Thanks to our supporters we are able t provide them a brief respite from the stress they are under.

I am Caiden's paternal grandmother. Through the help of family and friends, Caiden's mother, Jennifer, was able to stay near him throughout the two months that he was hospitalized away from home. The expense for food and lodging was exorbitant. Jennifer, her family, and friends of her family recognized the need for financial help for the families of infants in an NICU away from their homes. To address this need, they founded Caiden's Hope to help other families who found themselves in similar circumstances. The bond that developed between Jennifer and Caiden as a result of her being able to spend time with him daily during the months when he was at UCLA has contributed exponentially to his mental, physical, and social-emotional well-being. Caiden's Hope strives to assist other families who find themselves with their child hospitalized away from home. It's mission is to afford these families the same opportunity that Jennifer and Caiden had to bond and grow together throughout his hospital stay. God bless Caiden's Hope and its founders for seeing a void and filling it.u

We lived 50 miles away from the NICU and it was amazing to not have to worry about our stay at the Ronald McDonald House or gas to and from. When my nephew's wife had to have an emergency C-section in Japan, their newborn was taken to three different hospitals that night, each farther away from them. I can't imagine how frightening that experience was for the new parents - separated from their first child right at birth. They were lucky because my sister-in=law came out to help. Most young parents don't have that option, and the additional expense of travel and/or lodging to be with their newborn in NICU would impact their finances in a big way. You can't be reimbursed for that cost through insurance, but time with their newborn is as important as the medical care the baby receives. Caiden's Hope will help give those parents the opportunity to be with their child. My donations (through silent auctions and event participation) make a difference, and I do what I can to raise awareness to the wonderful work done by Caiden's Hope and generate support for them.

Our hospital *LOVES* Caiden's Hope. We were skeptical when we first received a letter introducing this nonprofit organization. We called Wayne Keller up and asked him to come out to talk with us. When we met him, we knew he was one-of-a-kind! We took the information and were all very excited about this new resource. When it came time that we had a NICU family that needed assistance, we gave Mr. Keller a call and he made the process so *very* easy.

Babies do better when they have their family near by, visiting frequently and able to bond during those crucial first days/weeks/months. Caiden's Hope has allowed some of our parents to do just that. Without Caiden's Hope, many of our families would not be able to visit their babies, since they are flown into our hospital sometimes from over a 150 miles away. We hopoe Caiden's Hope will be around for many years to come and can get the funding needed for such a great organization!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the healthcare industry for many years, I am very much aware that community resources are usually few and hard to come by. When I first heard of Caiden's Hope, I was initially a little skeptical and thought it might be "too good to be true."

However, I have been completely taken by surprise at just how helpful Caiden's Hope has been each and every time I have asked for assistance on behalf of our patients. Mr. Keller is absolutely wonderful to work with. He always responds quickly and cheerfully, and it's clear that he takes a genuine interest in our patients and their families. Caiden's Hope fills in the gap whereby certain families would have to go without if it were not for them. I highly recommend this agency.

There are many times that I have a family from out of town who has a baby in our NICU. If they do not have medicaid, they have to pay to stay in a hotel close by to be able to visit the baby and provide breast milk. Many of these families don't have the resources to do this. This is an additonal emotional and financial burden to an already very difficult situation.

It is such a blessing to have Caiden's hope to help those families by providing some free nights in a hotel.

The families are so touched and comforted by Caiden's Hope outreach. When I explain what Caiden's Hope does, the parents and the staff here are reminded of the goodness of others. Wayne Keller, the director, always expresses compassion and interest in each families story. Caiden's Hope provides families with hope as well as a safe place to stay.

Knowing the stories of so many parents with premature babies and their lack of money to stay near their children has touched me greatly. Caiden's story about the high cost of hotel rooms and his mom's lack of enough income hit me hard early. Now his Mom started this charity to help others like her. There isn't always a Ronald McDonald House near the hospital of a neo-natal care unit. Caiden's Hope helps fill that gap. Providing parents with Hotel Vouchers or even gas cards so they can drive back and forth to be with their babies.

We have cash and for a silent auction donated items for them to sell. We will gladly do both again. This charity needs some extra help to go the next step. The Hospital Social Workers are more and more familiar with Caiden's Hope and it is having growing pains.

This charity fills a much-needed gap which has gone unrecognized up to now. These warm and caring people ensure that families which are already traumatized by having a child in the neo-natal intensive care unit have a hotel room where they can go to rest, to center their family and basically take a deep breath while they wait for their child's doctor to run tests, perform surgery, etc. No child is benefited by having exhausted parents who have had to drive back home, sometimes over 100 miles, or tried sleeping on a pull-out chair in the hospital room because they can't afford hotel accomodations. Anyone who has evever had a child in jeopardy knows the stress and exhaustion that accompany the situation. Kudos to CaCaiden's Hope for doing such a great job!

We have seen Caiden's Hope grow over the past few years, continuing to serve more and more families in need who have children in NICU. I have personally experienced the passion of those running this foundation, a passion to find and help as many infants and families as possible, and it is truly remarkable. This nonprofit is positively impacting lives, and I want to see them grow to reach far more families in the coming years.

What a great organization. They quickly helped us in a very practical way when our son was in the NICU for an extended period of time far from home.

So many young families live paycheck to paycheck. When a medical emergency occurs requiring them to stay overnight, pay for additional gas or any out of pocket expense, (food and parking, etc) to remain with their hospitalized child, they may not be able to do so. Caidens Hope can help these young families in the first few days with these expenses. Just allowing mom and dad to be with their child can be the relief they need to endure the stressful time.

Caiden's Hope helped our family by paying for a hotel and paying for some meals while our child was in the hospital. It really helped to not have to worry about those expenses while we waited for test results at the hospital.

Caiden's Hope strives to help families overcome the very real and very expensive cost of staying in a hotel near the hospital when a family member is hospitalized for an extended period of time.

We need your help.
