Mission: The cache humane society is devoted to serving the citizens and companion animals of the cache valley. It is our hope that through our many programs and services we will be able to eliminate pain, fear, suffering and homelessness for companion animals. We accomplish this mission through many programs, activities, and training. We will work with local governments, municipalities, other rescue organizations, and caring citizens, to efficiently and effectively bring about the changes necessary to accomplish our mission.
Programs: Our clinical and medical program offers low and no-cost sterilization surgeries to the public and other rescue organizations. Additionally this program improves the general health of companion animals and eliminates suffering.
our adoption program focuses on maintaining a central shelter to coordinate all animal care and recovery activities in cache valley. The program provides adoption services for unwanted animals and helps lost animals find their rightful owners.
our education program supports other outreach programs to schools and general education to the public on awareness of animal welfare, issues and problems facing our community. It facilitates the publications, special event community activities and legislation that supports the activities of the shelter.
Do not go to Cache Humane Society for any services. They will overcharge and then refuse to fix it. They are unethical and dishonest. As of January 7th 2021 the Cache Humane website says that they are having a special on vaccines. Each vaccine is $14 or their 3 vaccine bundle is $30. Well seeing this, and having gotten a new puppy, we took both dogs in for vaccinations. Each dog received a Vaccine bundle, one a dog bundle and the other a puppy bundle. Cache Humane then proceeded to charge us $45 for each bundle instead of the advertised $30. I called as soon as I saw this and they said we could go in tomorrow and get $15 refunded from each overcharged bundle. My husband just received a call saying that Cache humane will not be refunding the $15 for each bundle because they claim that special was only available before December 31st, 2020 but their website doesn't say this anywhere. And their vaccine clinic was not open until after Dec. 31st, 2020 due to Covid.
When our cat went missing, the Cache Humane Society was a one-stop source of information on how to proceed and who to contact. We were very grateful for their expert help. This is a worthy group to assist. We just made a donation.
