Our son and daughter have had the best experience at C2 Attack Volleyball Club because of the experience (some are nationally recognized!) and caring coaches over the past 2 years. The management's focus on developing a positive team environment including having a cohesive parent group is something my husband and I had not ever seen at a volleyball club, and we have been club volleyball parents for the past 11 years with our 3 kids! C2 Attack has a great presence in the community and many sponsors to help support both the boys and girls programs from what we have noticed in attending practices and indoor and beach volleyball events. We recommend C2 Attack for anyone in the Nashville area, or really any state, as the boys program represents players from many states and our daughter, who plays volleyball in PA in college will drive in to Hendersonville just to get private lessons from a number of coaches with college experience to improve her college game.
From a parent’s view from the inside. My daughter has Cystic Fibrosis. My daughter uses volleyball, both indoor & beach, along with track & field as a form of exercise which keeps her in excellent condition. I coached at C2 Attack Volleyball until March 14, 2023 when I was released based on erroneous info & my daughter was released from her indoor team & eventually blacked balled from C2 beach volleyball. C2 Attack Volleyball breached my contract as a coach & breached my daughter’s contract as a player. This club has NOT paid me for my coaching time for March & April nor reimbursed me for my daughter's club fees.
This review is not being provided as a way to “get back” for my release as a coach but is to make others aware of the toxic environment within C2 Attack & hopefully by making others aware they will not fall prey to this club. C2 Attack is the only volleyball club in Hendersonville, TN.The majority of the club’s revenue comes from Sumner County girl players. I’ve watched this organization grow over the past 2 years without giving back to the community --except for negative comments, defamation of current & past players, parents, coaches, & other volleyball clubs. The club directors & administrators disclose personal info about players, parents, & coaches to others, inside & outside of the club. Hendersonville, TN is a wonderful city & needs businesses to help this community grow and thrive. I have always believed when a community succeeds, we all succeed, however, we cannot be a successful community with toxic businesses in the community. I'm reaching out to the community becuz you may be in this situation one day. Players & parents need to be able to speak the truth, voice their opinion &/or concerns without the fear of retaliation. C2 Attack released my daughter from the 13 Orange Smack team stating she was not happy on her team. My daughter never expressed any concern or unhappiness with the 13 Orange team. It was her dad that had concerns. C2 did not follow their own protocol in resolving conflict which states the player must be the first to request a meeting with the coach and if the conflict is still unresolved the parents may request a meeting to include the player. THERE WAS NO MEETING WITH THE PLAYER. My daughter loves to play beach volleyball & we feel she is being blackballed from the sport. Last season she played numerous beach tournaments with various partners, some affiliated with C2, others with other clubs. We reached out to a previous partner & was told she could only play with C2 beach players per C2. We were not asking to play in a C2 hosted beach event but in an event hosted by a beach club in southern Williamson county (over 50 miles way). By doing this C2 is severely limiting Aleena’s partner pool. The directors have the tendencies of someone with selective perception in that she avoids opinions, facts & people she doesn’t like; hears only part of the conversation that supports her views or twists actual messages to make it support her views & she only recalls info. that reinforces her position or opinion. Additionally, the directors have what I would call an anchoring bias where they believe whoever reaches them first regarding an issue. They do not consider there are “3 sides to every story. They do not seek out the truth nor will they pull all parties together to discuss. There are other parents who would like to voice their concerns regarding C2 Attack Volleyball Club but will not do so in fear of retaliation against their daughters. I believe the club directors think they are above “the law” & feels they can say & do what they want without accountability. Well, I'm a parent that's sticking up for my daughter & myself! I can back up EVERY statement above plus some.
