Mission: Casa-children worth saving, inc. Is a group of trained lay volunteers who are appointed by the juvenile court of the 16th judicial district of kansas to represent the best interest of abused and neglected children in the court system. The volunteers act as the "eyes and "ears" of the court, investigating the individual case and making recommendations to the court that are in the best interest of the child.
Programs: In 2017 a total of 38 children were served by casa volunteers. These volunteers donated 1,081 hours of service, with an additional 409 hours donated by the board of directors, advisory group, project attorney, training speakers, volunteer clerical help and friends of casa for 1,490 total hours. At 12/31/17 there were 17 volunteers donating their services
