When my husband decided it was time to just enjoy life and make memories for us. BHHH was Amazing. From the intake nurse who explained everything to him and answered all of his and our friends questions to the nurse assigned to our home visits. Last year my mother in law was on hospice services through Butte Home Health and Hospice. She had been on the services for about 3 months and the staff were nothing less than AMAZING. Anytime she needed a medication adjustment the nurses were on top of it to make her the most comfortable. They all have such a very gentle way with how they treat and care for their patients. One home health aide would come give Polly a bed bath and would sing to her the entire time. To witness such compassion warmed my heart to know she was in the greatest hands during her care with Butte Home Health and Hospice. I highly recommend this hospice service to anyone who needs it. They are true angels!
My wife Norma became seriously ill from too many medications taken for severe nerve pain. She spent 16 days inn the hospital and when she was discharged, the Doc prescribed home health assistance. Because I am on the Board of Directors for Butte Home Health and Hospice, I obviously chose them. The care team was lead by nurse Janice Ochoa who did a fabulous job in giving Norma care when she was here but also in organizing the whole team of therapists and others who worked with Norma. One day early in her care, Janice helped Norma take a shower and said it was the first shower she had given in at least 5 years. Linneay (sp?), the physical therapist was also outstanding. All of the staff were knowledgeable, caring and respectful of me and Norma. I highly recommend Butte Home Health and Hospice.

Butte Home Health is a great organization for volunteers because it treatment of both patients and volunteers is so individualized. Every person involved is thought about individually, and services are always tailored to the mix of patient needs and volunteer skills. I've been involved in hospice caregiving for more than 2 decades, and BHH is what is wanted and needed for compassionate and helpful end of life support. And this is true for both the client, and for the volunteer.
Butte Home health was incredible, any time you need outside help is always an uncertainty. Katie Bowers was part of our Family through out this difficult process. I am in constant awe of this company. Not only do they treat the patients with the highest level of care but they treat employees like family. I have really enjoyed working with BHH. They are allowing me to chase my passion of treating patients in their home with lots of love and support. I love how they go above and beyond to put the patient as a person in an environment that they want to be in to heal the best they can. As a nurse, this has been the most rewarding job I have had.
I have had a professional relationship with Butte Home Health and Hospice, starting in 1988 when I was the Director of Pharmacy at Option Care, and continuing until my recent retirement as owner of Apothecary Options. I know the Hospice nursing staff, the social workers, the medical director, and most of the ancillary staff. They do phenomenal work! The greater Chico area is fortunate to have such skilled, dedicated, and caring people providing Hospice and Home Health services to our loved ones.

I was struck by the how personally invested they are in their patient’s outcome and their entire family’s well being during such trying times. Back in 2012, I placed my husband on Butte Home Health and Hospice for Hospice care. During the 6 months he was on services, the care was exceptional. The Nurses that managed his care in the office were there to help me with all my questions, fears, concerns; the nurses who came to the house treated him as a friend; the Aides who came to assist him with personal care gave him dignity. When the Chaplain came over to visit, they sat there and discussed his interests. Because of hospice, I was able to make his life so much better, we took a couple of trips, he was able to enjoy foods that kidney failure didn't allow him to eat. He passed with no pain and there was such a peacefulness on his face.
After all of these years I still truly appreciate all of the assistance, care, and compassion that Butte Hospice has shown

When my mother could no longer live my herself, she moved in with me. Butte Home Health provided Nursing to help with her medications , Physical Therapy for her mobility and Medical Social services that provided answers for the many questions we had.
When my mother was given a six month diagnosis due to her cancer, Butte Hospice was there to cover her hospice medications, provide a hospital bed and other equipment needed for her care. They sent Home Health Aides to help with bathing. and personal needs. Most of all they provided the emotional support needed to care for my mother. I thank you from the bottom of my heart
To say Butte Home Health went above and beyond is an understatement! My father had always had very complicated medical history and needs. Towards the end of his life we reached out to Butte Home Health and my only regret was wishing we had used their services sooner! The administrative staff was not only personable and caring but so informative and helpful! Each nurse that help my Father was nurturing, loving, and professional. With such a hard working team they made the most difficult time in our families life smoother and I can’t say enough about the dedication and love that Butte Home showed to my family!

We have had 3 family members on hospice with Butte Hospice over the last several years. Everyone that has been involved is kind, compassionate and really cared about my family members that were on hospice. I cannot thank Butte Home Health enough for the care and service they provided to both of my parents. Butte Home Health began providing in home care services for my mother several years ago when she fell victim to the ravages of Alzheimer's disease and my father was unable to care for her needs. We we blessed with their compassionate care through the progression of her disease and through her ultimate passing. During that same period my father's advanced age left him needing personal assistance for his daily needs, so we once again retained the care giving services of Butte Home Health. For several more years they demonstrated great compassion and flexibility in caring for my father's unique needs. When his health took a dramatic turn for the worse in early 2019 their hospice workers stepped up in providing tremendous comfort and guidance during the final weeks of his life. As the only one of my parent's children to live locally, I can not even begin to imagine how much more difficult the past several years would have been with the support of Butte Home Health.
