I volunteer in BWS's education division. Incredible organization. As a former teacher, I know the best organizations are those with a clearly defined mission, and a staff that are all onboard , passionate, and committed to that mission. Such is Busch Wildlife Sanctuary.

My name is Diane Campanello and I am a volunteer at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary at Abramson and Schlaggar Reserve. Volunteering at the sanctuary is both rewarding and fulfilling as I am assisting staff in several areas. Each department where I volunteer is equally important: educating the public about native wildlife, conservation of their habitat, caring for rescued animals, and releasing healthy wildlife back into their natural habitats. Watching the wildlife escape back into their environment healthy and renewed is so rewarding .

Busch Wildlife is a great place for families to visit. I learned a lot about native Florida wildlife. Busch is such a great service for the community!

While I absolutely love that they are helping the animals, they treat their staff like such disposables. I used to take all of my visitors, clients from out of town, even my bosses I wanted to make great impressions on to Busch Wildlife. Once I looked further and asked staff their full experience, I was appalled at how often they would tell me such horrid stories of how the animals are actually treated. These aren’t the stories that get out into the public and they should be. The “new” director there seems like she only cares about herself and money now, what a shame.

Great nonprofit. Located in Jupiter Florida. See panthers, bears, Bobcats, otters, crocs and gators among other Florida native wildlife. Love going there. All kinds of birds of prey. Shows every day where you can touch a gator, snake, opossum and skunk. No charge to get in.
