We received the golf clubs and were able to distribute to 6 of our Airmen between the ranks of E-3 and E-5. They were extremely grateful and pumped to finally have a set of clubs to call their own. I can’t thank you, the team and sponsors/donors enough for what you do. We are truly grateful and excited these Airmen will have another outlet to enjoy.
My son was looking for a non-profit to volunteer for as he finishes up his senior year in high school. We reached out to Bunkers in Baghdad because my son is passionate about golf and helping others. Joe and his team could not have been more courteous and flexible to accommodate our schedule. Liam was able to package up thousands of golf balls and also received a beautiful Bunkers t-shirt for volunteering. It was a great experience for him from start to finish. A special thank you to Bunkers in Baghdad for being kind and generous.
Deployed overseas in a not so great part of the world. I reached out to Bunkers and instantly received a response. I asked for both left handed and right handed equipment for my unit. Not only did we get all of this equipment- they also threw in a net and turf for us. One of the best Christmas surprises we could ever ask for. Super non-profit and super people to deal with!
Emailed Bunkers in Baghdad after I heard about them from Phil Mickelson’s YOUTUBE channel. I only had some random clubs and balls- but Bunkers helped me fill in my set and sent me a bunch of golf balls too. I will now be able to golf in my Veteran Golf League. You’re the best!
Bunkers in Baghdad- I just wanted to take a moment and extend my sincere gratitude for the clubs you sent me. Can’t wait to try out this awesome driver. As a graduate of the PGA Hope Program- this will really help me. Thank you again for what you do. You have truly made my week.
Great people. Very responsive. True patriots. Bunkers loves our troops and loves the United States of America.
Getting clubs send balls allow me to golf with my friends and family. Thank you for supporting veterans.
Heard about Bunkers in Baghdad from Phil Mickelson. I'm a disabled veteran. The non-profit sent me a set of nice clubs and balls. Golf has been great for my mental and physical health. Thank you all for helping me.
My brother is deployed to the Middle East. He was away from us this Christmas and my family wanted to send him something he loves- the game of golf. We reached out to Joe and Bunkers in Baghdad- they shipped him and his unit thousands of golf balls and many sets to Syria. This non-profit is the absolute best. Joe is Golf Santa. We cannot thank Bunkers in Baghdad enough!
Great non-profit. Reached out and they responded immediately. Received the equipment within 10 days.
The words “Thank You” seems to easy. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate receiving these clubs today. It may or may not have been really hot in my house, cause my eyes started to sweat (yeah that is what it was). Seriously thank you so much for all you do for all Vets.
Bunkers in Baghdad is a top-notch non-profit. They are trustworthy, empathetic, and deliver. We asked for golf balls and golf clubs- and boy did we get a lot of them. Heck- we could have set up Topgolf Africa. You have bettered the lives of so many service members through the years and continue to do so. We appreciate you.
The impact that you have made on my life and the life of my Marines is beyond words. After multiple deployments- you have been with us every step of the way. You are a true Patriot! Looking forward to that round of golf in the near future.
Thank you for the Golf Clubs and Golf Balls I am sure I will be able to teach a few soldiers how to swing a club soon and the snow melts away lol.
Thanks again for sending clubs over to Somalia to our Air Force unit while deployed. After using the clubs and balls to keep me occupied for 6 months, upon returning to the US I have been playing religiously. It has finally been the hobby I have been looking for and has helped me focus on being present and reducing stress. None of this would have happened if your team did not get us swinging clubs downrange. Cheers and Go Bills!
Thank you for your generosity. We are in an ugly place right now and we are thousands of miles away from home- and the "little things" are what keeps us going. And by "little things"- I mean thousands of golf balls! God Bless You and God Bless America.
We have received the copious amounts of golf balls and clubs! Thank you and your team for what you do. We are going to try to get something setup with the MWR here on base with everything you guys sent. I think we have enough balls now to last a very long time!
You have exceeded all of my expectations. When I reached out- I thought that I was going to get a sleeve or two of golf balls and a club. Sending thousands of golf balls and several sets of clubs was absolutely amazing. Thank you!
Thank you for all that you do for our local veteran community. Bunkers recently donated thousands of golf balls to our PGA Hope program and has made a very positive impact on the lives of our vets.
Simply best of the best! It is amazing how quickly the team responds and gets the equipment overseas. Thank you for making our deployment a little easier.
Bunkers in Baghdad has supported me and my unit during each of our deployments (Middle East multiple times and now Eastern Europe). Thank you for all of your support through the years. Your organization continues to be selfless and mission focused. Golf balls and clubs might not seem like a big deal- but when you are thousands of miles away from home- the equipment makes you feel like you are at Augusta National. Keep doing what your doing!
It is with great pride that I offer my highest praise for Bunkers in Baghdad. As a member of the greatest fighting force on Earth for the last 20+ years- I have had the opportunity to work with many different organizations. Joe Hanna and Bunkers in Baghdad are amongst the most professional, trustworthy, and dedicated organizations in the country. I asked for equipment for my unit- and before we knew it- there were several sets of Topgolf clubs, thousands of golf balls, Callaway hats, and Bigelow Tea. It is amazing how many great companies Bunkers has partnered with to better our lives and make us feel like we are at home. Please keep up the great work and from the bottom of our hearts- we sincerely thank you for making our lives better. We miss home, we miss our families, we miss our everyday lives- but Bunkers succeeds in bringing smiles to our faces. God Bless You all and God Bless America.
If there was a ribbon for fastest replies to Service Members, you'd have them all!! Again, I truly thank you for your commitment to our Nations Soldiers.
I received the box of golf balls and the box with the clubs, tea and hitting mat today. Again, I just want to say thank you so much for the generosity from Bunkers in Baghdad. It is so greatly appreciated. I cannot wait to get out and hit. Thanks again.

This is a great organization and great people.
Bunkers in Baghdad continues to make donations to our PGA Hope program. Golf has transformed my life. Upon returning home from my multiple deployments- I was in a very dark place. Through golf, Bunkers, and PGA Hope- I am in a much better place. A million thank yous are not enough.
We appreciate this charity and their many efforts in sending us golf equipment. This is my fourth deployment and Bunkers has taken care of us every time. They care, they do. Great combination.
Thank you Bunkers in Baghdad. We were away from our families during Christmas and Bunkers sent us beautiful cards, Bigelow tea, and golf equipment. Thank you for thinking of us during a difficult time to be away from home.
Ask and you shall receive… This should be Bunkers in Baghdad’s motto. We requested golf equipment and golf balls- and before we knew it- it arrived on the other side of the world. Thank you for supporting us. We will never forget this.
Wow. Imagine being thousands of miles away from your family and friends... and with the click of a button- you can have golf clubs and balls sent over to you to break the monotony and remind you of the time you spend with your pops, brothers, wife, or best friends. Bunkers has done that for me and my platoon. Thank you for being so great.
As a veteran- I have struggled many times through the years with adjusting to life after returning home. Bunkers continues to support my efforts in learning how to golf, golfing with my fellow brothers and sisters, and being outside. Thank you for always being generous with me. God Bless.
I recently received my golf clubs from Bunkers in Baghdad. I am speechless. Thank you so much. I will use them with pride and I will make sure that my veteran friends know what you are doing for the community.

Absolutely the best of the best! Ask and you shall receive- with a dedication to the Stars and Stripes and the brave men and women that protect it.
Thank you for all that you do. You have no idea what it means for me and my team. The struggle is real. The issues are real. The sadness is real. The depression is real. The loneliness is real. But guess what?!?!? Sending golf clubs and balls to us changes everything. You are sending us what we miss most from home- memories of our family and friends, the freedom to enjoy each other's company, just "hanging out", the game of golf, and most importantly, people thinking about us and caring about us during these very troubling and hard times. Bunkers in Baghdad is a wonderful example of why I love this great country! People caring about others even in their most desperate time of need. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Joe & Co. You are great patriots.

Requested equipment for my brother and his unit. Bunkers responded immediately and sent the guys a couple thousand golf balls and golf clubs. Great job.
I’m currently in a location that had restrictions in regards to the mail service not allowing bunkersoverbaghdad to send equipment. They didn’t stop there, they checked every week for about 2 months until the restriction was lifted. I received an email a few days ago from MR. Joe telling me the gear is on the way. I couldn’t be more satisfied and thankful for their tireless effort to support the troops. A true class charity organization. Thanks again and it’s much appreciated!!!!!
Good morning- I reached out to Bunkers in Baghdad two weeks ago so they can send equipment to my son who is stationed overseas. I emailed Callaway, who got me in touch with bunkersinbaghdad. I emailed joe concerning my son stationed in turkey.Joe replied back to me the next morning. Although my sons equipment is enroute, we are very thankful and excited for everything you do for the men and women in uniform. Top notch
Bunkers in Baghdad has done it again by providing American veterans with the ability to get back in the game of golf. Back in 2009, Bunkers sent out golf clubs and balls to our unit in southern Iraq. Just this week after 12 years of honorable service and being a 100%disabled vet, I received another box of clubs of this great organization
I wrote Bunkers on a Thursday and Friday I had a reply from Joe. Outstanding!!! Although my equipment is still enroute I can say that these guys are not only friendly and doing a great service for those of us out on the front lines but are understanding and quick as well. I can't get this kind of reaction from a company I am giving money to let alone someone doing something for us for free. The morale boost just from knowing the equipment is coming is amazing. great job and THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I reached out to Joe at Bunkers in Baghdad and they were very quick to respond. What a phenomenal organization. They provided me and my unit with golf equipment very expeditiously and have given my service members a great outlet to for recreational activity. Thanks again for all that they have done and continue to do for service members worldwide. I highly recommend using this organization.

I began researching golf equipment for deployed troops and saw Bunkers in Baghdad. What a great idea. When I requested balls, turf and clubs- Joe responded back to me right away. He said that it was the least he could do to help out our unit. What a great guy! When the equipment arrived- it was like a second Christmas. Thank you.

Deployed to Kosovo for a NATO mission and really needed a taste of back home. With a short range we can hit in Bunkers in Baghdad sent us a full set of irons and two boxes packed full of balls and a green hitting mat. We are over ecstatic to start hitting as soon as the snow disappears. Great Christmas present for the troops.
Bunkers in Baghdad have exceeded my expectation. They responded really quick and sent out the package in a very quick manner. The items will help individuals during the holidays. Thank you again!!!
Wonderful nonprofit organization! Immediately responded to our request for golf balls in Kuwait. Wonderful organization that does what they can to make deployed service members' quality of life a little better.
Fantastic organization doing great things for our service members. Being away from home is difficult but getting an unexpected round of golf in was a great stress relief. A number of soldiers had never golfed and Bunkers in Baghdad provided us with the opportunity to extend the game to them.
I contacted Bunkers in Baghdad on July 6 and we received clubs and balls in two weeks. Fantastic how quickly they responded and the donations they provided.
Great organization with super fast response. I received a few clubs and a bunch of balls to get me started.
Bunkers in Baghdad helps provide the game of golf to soldiers, sailors, and airmen around the world. We got word that some golf supplies were on their way out after a really really rough day. We, (joint members of my strike cell) all commented just the thought that we could go out behind our tents and just swing a club brought a little bit of peace and some smiles in the middle of a challenging and tough fight. Thanks so much for the support.
Joe and the people over at bunkers in Baghdad are top notch in my book. They responded right away and were able to send me some equipment and balls to get my game started. Thanks a lot guys!
Bunkers in Baghdad was quick to respond and were very easy to communicate with. They sent golf equipment to our unit very rapidly and I had a great experience with them! They have tangibly improved the moral of the unit !
I reached out to this charity asking if they could send anything that would keep our minds off of things back home, keep stress levels down and keep morale as high as possible. This charity swiftly replied back to me, telling me that they would be happy to send something to us. We were very surprised to receive about six really nice golf clubs and about two hundred golf balls, that were also all in very good condition and really nice brands. The kind things this charity has done for us will not be forgotten. Because of this charity, we are able to better serve and keep our country free. Thanks again v/r 407 EMXS
It is not every day that you can reach out to a charity and they respond to you immediately, are willing to help, and actually do it. With all of the things happening with all of these other military charities across the country (Wounded Warrior Project)- this is refreshing. Keep up the great work and thank you for taking care of us. The camaraderie that has grown amongst my unit has been priceless.
I heard about Bunkers in Baghdad from my last deployment and they provided tons of gear for the unit I was with. When I moved overseas again I contacted them and within 2 weeks I had a full set of clubs and 20lbs worth of golf balls to give to my guys. Great organization that provides instant morale!
Ask and you shall receive. Bunkers has supplied by unit with thousands of golf balls, turf, golf shoes, golf clubs, gloves, Callaway hats and towels for 4 different deployments. We could not be more thankful for all that they have done for us.
Stationed on the USS Truman... we requested golf balls and golf clubs from Bunkers and Joe. Not only did he send me equipment- he sent equipment for everyone. Thousands of golf balls and 10+ sets of golf clubs. Wow. These guys are life savers. We appreciate all of their support and everything they have done to help us. Keep up the great work.
I have volunteered for this organization for a number of years. The work that they do each day is truly inspirational. Joe and his team are very easy to work with. As a veteran, it means so much to me that Joe cares and is passionate about the men and women he is helping. I have collected and donated more than 20,000 golf balls to Bunkers and will not slow down any time soon. Keep up the great work. Proud to be apart of the team.
Great charity. Caring. Helpful. Responsive. Grass roots. No concerns of hi jinx with these guys. Thank you for taking care of us.
Best of the best. For a warrior with no other outlet- Bunkers has gone out of its way to make my life better.
My husband is a wounded warrior. I reached out to Joe after learning from Callaway Golf that this non-profit exists. I emailed Bunkers and he responded to me within an hour. He sent my husband golf balls, a hat, a towel, golf shoes, and a beautiful golf shirt. What a great organization. Keep up the great work.
What a great non-profit!!! I have been working with Bunkers for the last year and there is not a more easy group to work with out there. Their response rate, ideas, and willingness to help its volunteers feel welcomed is second to none. Thank you for all that you do in supporting our warriors and troops.
I am deployed overseas and reached out to Joe and his team to receive golf equipment. Within 2 weeks- we had thousands of golf balls and hundreds of clubs. No exaggeration- this was a life saver. What a great charity and what a great idea. Thank you for everything. God Bless.
I contacted Joe about sending golf equipment to our team on deployment. His quick response and outstanding support enabled our troops to enjoy the holiday season while on deployment with a little friendly competition out on our site. It was heartwarming to have this organization help us in what can be such a solemn time. Thanks to you and your team Joe.
I heard about this organization through my peers at work while on rotation to Camp Buerhing Kuwait. I reached out to them to see if they were able to send my unit some golf equipment. We have a large company here, and Bunkers in Baghdad sent an ample amount of equipment to facilitate a way for us to recreate in our free time. They sent us 18 pounds of golf balls and 2 sets of golf clubs! I have a lot of respect for them after their goodwill. Pictures and donation to follow soon!
Wow! My husband is deployed at the moment and we heard about Bunkers in Baghdad through a friend. I sent Joe an email asking if I could get some equipment sent to my husband. First off, he is super professional and very quick to respond and send him everything! What a nice person! My husband loves to golf and this will be something he can do that makes him feel a little more at home & keep his mind off of work! Thank you SO much from the bottom of my heart, I know my husband will feel the same!
I am a deployed service member and while on deployment I was told about Bunkers in Baghdad through the golf company Callaway. Callaway is a supporter of Bunkers in Baghdad. So I emailed them telling them my story that I am deployed and would be hoping to play some golf in my off time along with my fellow Airman. He replied the next if not the same day and was great to talk to and work with. He made it very simple by telling me what I needed to do and what information he needed. It was incredible how fast and helpful he was. After receiving a donation I know that this is an organization I intend to donate to and help. Thank you Joe for everything you do!
I can not gather up the words to express how professional Joe and his organization is. I sent him an email, and within a few hours he responded to me. By the next morning he had fulfilled my wishes and made a dream come true for my husband. If I could give him and his organization 10 stars, I would. I want to thank you Joe for truly being a blessing from above and going above and beyond for my husband and troops across the nation!
i heard about Bunkers in Baghdad from a fellow golf buddy in the Navy. I wrote Joe Hanna before I deployed and asked what the process was. He got back to me within a day and I had 3 boxes of balls find me at FOB Union III within 3 weeks. In the process of building a 'driving range' so I can put the balls to work. The heat will break soon and I may even move it to the roof... smoke a few cigars and stripe balls into a net. What better way to pass the time?
Dean V., Baghdad
We are deployed to Egypt for a peace keeping mission. I heard of this charity (Bunkers over Baghdad) thru fellow soldiers and friends. I email Joe and I had a response from him within 24 hrs of sending the initial email. Joe and his organization had the equipment package and mailed within a week of requesting the golf equipment. Thanks to caring people like Joe and Bunkers over Baghdad, soldiers will have a great time playing golf. It’s wonderful to know, there are organizations like Bunkers over Baghdad out there supporting our troops.
Joe and the rest of the team have done an amazing job by providing an escape from the daily stress and tempo of generating Combat Airpower!. Not only was his response to the request delivered in less than 48 hours, the package arrived in less than a week across thousands of miles! Awesome program and please keep up the great work!
I first heard of the charity Bunkers in Baghdad when I was overseas. A couple of other joe's were talking about how awesome they were and that it was a charity organization. I am an active duty recipient and I can't be more grateful. This will definitely get me started. Thank you!!
I heard about them through a friend and that they will send golf equipment to active duty members. I decided to try to get some for my husband since he loves to golf but has never been able to buy some for himself. Joe emailed me right back and communicated with me personally throughout the entire process. The equipment came today, and my husband was stoked! People like this are a dime a dozen. Thank you!!
Active Duty Marine forward deployed.
I was in contact with Joe immediately after I sent the first email. He was very kind and I could feel that he truly wanted to take care of my wishes. I am honored to call my self a supporter of his organization.
Active duty Marine serving forward deployed.
Mr. Hanna instantly responded to our request for support and the next day there were clubs in the mail. I know when they arrive they are sure to put a smile on the Marine's faces and help take their mind off things for awhile. It's wonderful to know organizations like this are out there looking out for the well being and moral of forward deployed troops no matter the clime or place! Thanks for all you do.
Joe and his team are amazing! They helped boost morale of over 320 deployed Soldiers at Bagram Airfield by sending out golfing equipment that enabled us to create an indoor driving range. By far one of the most generous and professional support organizations I've ever seen. Thanks Joe!!! Pics coming soon!!!

Best military charity that is working for the betterment of vets, wounded warriors and active duty military in the country today. They actually do what they say they are going to do. No bureaucratic nonsense to have to deal with- you speak directly with its President and they will take care of you. Best of the best.
Joe and Bunkers in Baghdad are another brilliant example of Great Americans going the extra mile for the men and women of our armed forces. I was surprised to arrive in Kuwait and learn that Joe had arranged to send numerous golf items to the troops stationed here. I never thought I'd be swinging a golf club during my tour here. what a great morale booster for us. I will definitely make a donation in the near future. Thanks Joe and company!
What a great organization to work with!!! I called Joe and he answered the phone himself. No answering machines, no secretaries- I immediately spoke with the person that I wanted to speak with.
He was kind and gracious on the phone- thanking me for my generosity. Joe explained to me how to ship the equipment, the best/cost efficient shipping method to use, and where to ship the equipment to.
Bunkers was easy to work with, easy to donate to, and I know that my donation is being put to a good use in a timely manner. It doesn't get better than this.
Kudos to Joe and his team.
My husband is deployed in Afghanistan for his fourth tour. I heard about Bunkers in Baghdad from a fellow military wife who had reached out to the charity. I was surprised that they send golf equipment over with no strings attached. If you ask them- they will do it. I wish more charities were run like this without all of the red tape and lies that they come up with. Thank you for all that you do to help make my husband's life better. This is a great charity.
Mr. Hanna and his organization has been so supportive and completely amazing from the very first email! They far surpass any expectation I originally had when I first contacted them. My unit is about to deploy and Mr. Hanna has went above and beyond to supply my unit prior to leaving. Additionally I explained to him my desire to get more individuals to pick up the game of golf and told him about a tournament I am encouraging them to join and the organization sent a prize for me to give out to one of the new Golfers! Absolutely phenomenal and amazing!
I have been volunteering with Bunkers in Baghdad for the last 3 years. It has been my pleasure to work with Joe and his team. They are always willing to listen to my ideas and give me a great deal of freedom when it comes to helping out. I have volunteered with other organizations that watch over you lIke a hawk and couldn't care less about what you thought and your ideas. I can say, seeing it first hand, that Joe and Bunkers truly cares about our troops and vets. He is a patriot and a great person. Keep up the good work.

As someone who served this nation for 15+ years and has been deployed 6 times overseas- I have seen the best and worst of people's intentions when supporting the military. This organization is absolutely amongst the best of the best at the end of the day. "Ask and you shall receive." Bunkers fulfilled my request to provide a net, turf, clubs and balls for my unit. It didn't take a month or a week- within 24 hours- I had a tracking number and was ready to go. God Bless you and God bless America. Keep up the great work. We need it.
I am deployed in the Gulf serving our United States Navy... we reached out to Bunkers in Baghdad and they have gone above and beyond our request and have sent us thousands of golf balls and a number of sets of clubs to use. We appreciate all that they do for all service members around the world.
As a deployed Soldier, Bunkers In Baghdad was a awesome help. We reached out to one of their volunteers who was deployed with us, and he was able to get clubs, balls and a net sent to us. It was a great way for our guys to decompress and have some fun at the same time.
I am a US Marine stationed in Afghanistan. Several weeks ago, a friend from home saw Bunkers in Baghdad on Twitter and recommended that I reach out to the charity. I had nothing to lose. I sent Joe Hanna, its President, an email and within 5 hours, he responded to me and was ready to send golf equipment our way. It was absolutely amazing- like Christmas all over again. The packages kept coming and coming... at the end of the day, we received a couple thousand golf balls and a number of sets. It was absolutely fantastic... Bunkers in Baghdad helped improve our morale and attitudes immensely. I cannot stress this enough- this charity said it was going to do something and it delivered (very quickly I might add). Please support their efforts- they are the best of the best.
I am a commander in Afghanistan and run a medical hospital. Part of what we have to do is be near the hospital at all times in order to decrease the response time it takes to get to the hospital when casualties arrive for treatment. when I found out about bunkers in Baghdad I was so excited. They shipped us golf clubs and a lot of golf balls! it was here extremely fast and how we can hang a net up and practice our swing! It is very exciting since we are going to miss out on golf season this year since we will be here for 9 months straight. This is a fantastic program and I just want to say thank you very much for your support. It truly means the world to us over here. It is a great feeling to know that we are not forgotten by our fellow Americans while we are deployed and away from our families.
Golf was recommended to help as therapy. Thank you Bunkers for helping out. Brothers and Sisters under one Flag. thank you!!!!!!
I am currently deployed to Afghanistan for my sixth rotation. During my rotations to combat I have seen few things that have lifted the spirits of soldiers as much as the support from Bunkers in Baghdad has. The organization has helped not only myself, but many of my brethren as a release to the stress involved with a deployment. Having a way to connect with something that you love from back home is awesome and the support provided by the organization is second to none. The amazing support that the donors provide, is nothing less than miraculous. Having soldiers deployed and away from their families is a hard task, but having a glimpse of the real world through a sport that one loves keeps a little bit of home right next to you.
Thanks so much,
Chris

The work that Joe and all of the people that work at Bunkers in Baghdad really do make a huge difference in the morale of the service members deployed protecting our country. When service members receive items such as what Bunkers in Baghdad send out, it really makes us feel good knowing that someone back home cares. It reminds us what we are fighting for. Joe and Bunkers in Baghdad really exemplify the American spirit.
I am a Retired ARMY Wounded WARRIOR. I called on a tip from my AW2 Representative about the Bunkers in Baghdad program. These folks where awesome. Within three days i had a set of golf clubs and several boxes of golf balls on my doorstep. I am not sure how well i am going to be able to swing these and stay on my feet, but because of charities like this it makes me want to get out there and fall over and over if need be. Thank so much to Mr. Hanna and everyone at Bunkers In Baghdad. And thanks for not sending me a sand wedge, if i hit a ball there it can stay there.

What an outstanding charity! Joe and his team have been so kind and generous. When we are away from home and our families- we struggle a great deal. However, through Bunkers' support and giving- we feel like people are not forgetting about us. One would never think that golf balls and golf clubs could mean so much to a military unit. Guess again! The recreational aspect that stems from the clubs is immense. Even more important is the opportunity to spend time with each other and get to know your unit members better as well. Bunkers is truly a life changing charity and I cannot thank them enough for that they do for the Marines, our Armed Forces and the United States. God Bless You.
I contacted Mr. Hanna at Bunkers in Baghdad and asked for help replenishing a worn out driving range on Camp Arijan in Kuwait. Within 2 days I got an email back. 2 weeks later I received a variety of Loud Mouth Golf Pants, golf hats, balls, and a dozen clubs. Talk about a MORALE BOOST. I can't even get family members to send stuff to me this fast. Thanks Joe!!!
I'm a retired veteran, with multiple tours in Iraq. I am currently deploying at Kandahar, Afghanistan on my second tour as a Department of the Army (DA) Civilian supporting our troops. In previous tours we always seem to find golf equipment that were there before we got there. I know some generous organization have donated them for our troops. Unfortunately, this time around our previous predecessors did not have any golf equipment. So I google organizations online that would support our troops. I must have submitted the same request to ten different organizations, but only one answer the call with the equipment to support the troops, "BUNKERSINBAGHDAD".
I send the same request to Nike, Callaway, Titleist, Bridgestone, Taylor Made, and even the Golf Channel. Callaway responded back that I need a memo sign by the commanding officer. I responded back, "Thanks, but no thanks." You need to learn from Joseph M. Hanna on how to support the troops. It should come from the heart, not trying to justify how you spent your money. Shame on you.
So, I hope "BunkersinBaghdad" wins the 2014 Top-Rated Award. If any organization deserving such an award, it would be most definitely, "BunkersinBaghdad". Joe Hanna's organization does not need a sign memo from anyone. They just need a simple email request from the troops.
Joe, thank you for all that you do in supporting the troops. You brought golf to the troops, when the troops can't go to the golf course.
Thank you again

This organization is truly among the best. Being stationed overseas makes it extremely difficult to get items shipped from the states. My squadron and I reached out and with the utmost respect, Bunkers in Baghdad helped us out and donated good balls and clubs for us to work out the stresses of work. Our hats are off to this amazing non-profit organization.
We recieved a shipment of clubs and balls here in afghanistan and are excited to use them. All around this organization is absolutely professional and patriotic. It is great that there are people that support Troops like this. It has been a pleasure working with this organization and will recomend it to people in the future!
This is an outstanding organization ran by true Patriots. Thanks so much for all your support of our Veterans and Wounded Warrior both here and abroad, you are absolutely making a difference.

I am a Non Medical Care Manager who deals directly with Wounded Warriors. My shipmates have injuries on many different levels and the best medicine for them is getting back to normal activities. Joe helped me, help an injured sailor by getting him back out on the golf course and back to enjoying his life. Thank you for what you all do.
Mr. Hanna was and his organization were gracious in sending us a donation of golf balls, clubs and a couple of hats. It brought great joy to my soldiers and I knowing that we have people out there that care enought to send items like this to help unwind and have taste of home. We want to give thanks to you and your organization and everyone that donated as well. A big thanks from Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Mr. Hanna was gracious in sending us a donation of golf balls, clubs a chipping net and a some apparel. Having the ability to chip golf balls provides a taste of home and is a great way to relieve some deployment stress. We would also like to say thanks to the generous donors who keep this program alive and well.
There are so many orginzations out there that help members of the military serving overseas and on combat deployments with items that help them get through their deployments. i.e. tooth bushes, deoderant, blankets, heat pads, and so on. Bunkers in Baghdad helps on a much more high level MORALE. Morale is what keeps the military member driving forward and this orginization has provided just that. I am greatful that I was intorduced to this orginization and hope its continues to suppport America's deployed military members.
I reached out to Bunkers in Baghdad regarding a friend serving overseas in Afghanistan. I've never worked with a nonprofit organization before so honestly didn't think I would get a response. The same day the founder of Bunkers replied to my email and was happy to help. He more than exceeded all of my expectations and a package has already been sent out! I highly recommend and will encourage others to support Joe and his amazing organization. Thank you, Joe!!
Actions speak louder than words. Bunkers in Baghdad actions speak for themselves. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and became aware of this organization. I reached out to them and merely asked via email if it was possible to get a couple of golf clubs sent over to me. Joe Hanna personally responded to that email and within 3 weeks, a package arrived with several golf clubs. Joe only asked that the clubs be shared with other soldiers and I'm only too happy to do that. If you're reading this, please be aware the Bunkers in Baghdad has been doing this and taking care of military members for years. I will honestly say that their efforts, at the least, bring moments of diversion and pleasure in an environment where it means a lot. It is not a pleasant place over here, but what we're doing is worthwhile. Being able to hit a few golf balls when we can manage the time provides a touch of America. Believe me, knowing that people like Joe Hanna and the people who are part of, and contribute to, his organization care about us, and are willing to do something to make our lives a little better while we are deployed, helps us get through all the sacrifices and hardships that military members endure. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to Joe Hanna and everyone associated with Bunkers in Baghdad in any capacity. As I started this with, your actions speak louder than a lot of words. SFC Carl VonHinken
Unbelievable. That is really all that can be said about this organization. I wrote them since I am a disabled veteran and it is hard to pay for/play golf anymore due to my injuries. After different family tragedies and other things, I am unable to play due to the stiffness of my clubs....until Joe with Bunkers for Baghdad came through for me. Seriously unbelievable and amazing. Thank you so much!!!
I'm currently in Afghanistan and just received a large package from Bunkers in Baghdad. 6 clubs (left and right handed) 2 bags of balls and a driving net! We set up immediately and had a great time taking a break from the war. Thank you for supporting the troops. Service was outstanding!
This is a great organization! I can't tell you how much donations like this mean to us down range. Truely an enjoyable escape to drive some balls after a long day!
I heard bout Bunkers in Baghdad through a friend of a friend while deployed to southern Afghanistan. The support and genuine care they showed towards me and my unit surpassed all my expectations. They were easy to work with, answered all my questions and emails within a 24/ 48-hour period and went above and beyond to fulfill our request. Excellent customer care and excellent organization all around Could not be happier with the support that they have given me and my unit.
I'm Active Duty Army on my third deployment in Afghanistan. I wrote Bunkers In Baghdad not knowing what to expect. The company responded with genuine care and concern. From my experience, this company truly cares about deployed soldiers. No gimmicks, no requirements, and no cost. They sent me two golf clubs of better quality than I have ever owned. Thank you.
I wrote the company not sure what to expect and their response was amazing. Genuine company who cares tremendously for service members. After all these years to know we still have the support of America, and great companies out there trying to ensure we have the comforts of home is amazing!!! A++++++ Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
This is an outstanding organization that really brings joy to soldiers that are deployed around the world. My personal experience is quite simple, I asked if they could send us some clubs, and the sent that and more...and within a little more than a week. Joe is the best, and goes out of his way to even give up his own personal things to make sure we have something use on the range. It means alot and we all appreciate this organization. Always First!
I’ve been deployed to several different locations outside our beautiful country. When I’m asked why I do it, I simple reply to those that ask; I do it for you, and those that support and defend our country. I arrived in Afghanistan about a month ago. I immediately started looking for ways to better the morale of my troops. I was told by some friends about Bunkers in Baghdad and sent Mr. Joe an email requesting some used golf clubs so my troops could work on their swing during their off time. I was amazed when I received his email so quickly. Due to the time difference, Mr. Joe must have answered his email from his home or from a late night at work. Another thing that amazed me, was that he must have been already thinking about what I thinking about, because when I sent him another email asking for someone that could possible donate a driving net, he said, “Good news- we are shipping your clubs, net, tees and balls today” as if he already knew of our limited space and the need for additional items other than clubs and balls. We received the equipment, and once again, I was amazed on what I found in the box. Mr. Joe even thought about the rubber driving range tees and thru a few in the box with what must have been 6 clubs and 50 balls. Now once I get some outdoor turf, and some plywood, I can start building the tee box I need to finish up the moral project. Thanks to Mr. Joe and Bunkers in Baghdad, we can add a bit of home to even some of the worse places on God’s green earth.
I would like to take a moment to commend Bunkers in Baghdad for their fine work dedicated to our brave service men and women. My brother is currently serving in the US Army and is in the middle of a year-long deployment at Camp Buehring in Kuwait. After making a request, Bunkers in Baghdad shipped a variety of golf supplies to my brother's base for both his and fellow service members' enjoyment. The packages arrived promptly and were immediately put to good use by many of the troops. The work of Bunkers in Baghdad is valuable to our troops stationed around the world and I am very grateful for their continued support!

I am a Medically Retired US ARMY Infantry Veteran I have been retired since 2009 and had lost my right leg below the knee when I was hit by a roadside bomb (IED) in Iraq and other serious injuries which had stopped me from being able to play a lot of sports I used to play, but golf is one of the only sports I can still play and have been really getting involved in playing it since I retired and haven't had the money to buy new clubs, I told my story to Joe at Bunkers in Baghdad and he had sent me a club and some balls to help me out on getting more involved and better at my gold game, it took them leas then three days to send me the equipment and they were very quick to get back to me and help me out.
This is one of the greatest and friendliest organizations I have had the opportunity to get help from and they mean the world to me and have boosted my moral and helped me out with stress and depression by just sending me golf clubs and ball's... Once again I want to thank them for everything they have done for us wounded warriors and men and women my brother and sisters overseas.
I am writing about the the Bunkers in Baghdad organization. This group has been providing golf balls and clubs to military in Iraq and Afghanistan for many years, giving our courageous men and women a chance to release some of their stress and receive something valuable from back Home, The U. S. A. My son has recently been deployed , for the third time, and will be receiving these gifts very shortly, due to the fine work of Joe Hanna, a former student of mine , and the "Bunkers in Baghdad" program. My God Bless our military men and women and the awesome folks at the "Bunkers" program.
Sincerely, Jeff Gemmer
I'm currently deployed to South West Asia for six months. As you may know there is little to do here for entertainment other than the gym and watching old movies. The I heard about Bunkers in Bagdad an I sent off an email to ask about donations. Within 2 weeks I received an nice set of clubs and plenty of golf balls to slap all over the desert. There are 18 guys in my small section and we have a blast. This is more than a donation of just golf clubs it a much needed lift to our morale and helps relieve the stress of not being home with friends and family. Thanks again.
My unit is deployed in Afghanistan, and are options for our free time include going to the gym and the DFAC until Bunkers in Baghdad gave us some balls and clubs. Now we regularly have competitions seeing who can hit it over the mountains, and laughing at each others swing and miss attempts. The equipment has proven to be a morale booster in a big way and given our guys a few moments of reprise from the daily grind.
I am an Active Duty Soldier stationed overseas and I am on my 4th tour. Bunkers In Baghdad has really come through in a big way. I was just about at wits end with boredom in my limited free time and my stress levels were throu8gh the roof. I contacted Joe and he responded in a timely manner. This program is a God send as Golf is the only thing I can constructively do to relieve stress and forget about where I am at and what I'm doing. I contacted multiple Golf equipment companies and they gave me the standard "we support our troops but we can't support our troops" spiel. Joe didn't. He was more than helpful and I cannot thank him enough and neither can my troops lol. Im a much happier person. this organization is classy and by far the best I've dealt with in over 12 years in Service.
I am an active duty soldier currently working with the Warrior Transition Battalion, I found this program and when I spoke to Joe he was more than accomodating. This program is such an amazing opportunity for the soldiers to enjoy the game of golf. As a cadre at the WTB we have actually started a golf program to assist in the healing of our wounded soldiers, this has become a great success and we are planning on growing the program as much as we can. I have been working hard to grow the program because I know that it works. I have been diagnosed with PTSD due to my deployments and no matter what is going on in my life or at my job when I am out there on the golf course I am free, free from stress free from danger and free from all the turmoil that my past deployments have caused me. I am so thankful for Joe and Bunkers in Baghdad for there help and generosity. Please keep up the tradition and continue to save lives, Thank you Joe and Bunkers in Baghdad.
I am Active Duty Army and work around a lot of Wounded Warriors. I have deployed numerous times and love the sport of Golf. I received some golf clubs in Iraq on one of my deployments and thought about how awesome it was. Looking for a way to give back and share the sport of golf, I found out about bunkers by chance when i was contacting Callaway Golf.
Joe Hannah and his crew have been awesome. they have donated balls and clubs. He has been great and very helpful.
Please share with others and give to this wonderful organization.
I came across Bunkers in Baghdad a few years ago when I attempted to start a golf business. We were looking to partner with the group and help raise money for the organization. Right away I was impressed by Joe Hanna's professionalism and the passion he had for Bunkers. Although we never became business partners I have continued to watch Bunkers in Baghdad grow into what it has become today. My brother is a Captain in the Army in Rochester, New York and has served two tours in Afghanistan. Joe provided my brothers unit with golf equipment on his last tour. This small gesture went a long way in helping my brother's men deal with the hardship of being away from home. They all appreciated the work that Bunkers in Baghdad has done in order to make their lives a little better.
Bunkers in Baghdad provides a great service for our armed forces and Joe Hanna's passion has grown this non-profit into a professional organization. I hope people and the golfing community continue to support them.
I can't put into words how much this organization means to me. I am active duty Army on my second tour in three years which has become the norm of our Armed Services over the past decade. I became aware of Bunkers in Baghdad my last deployment by chance from my Mom who has worked with Mr. Hanna. The rest is history as they say. The stress of deployment is carried back to the home front post deployment however I honestly believe through the generous donations of Bunkers In Baghdad a lot of our soldiers were able to release stress before they came back. I can't thank Mr. Hanna and his organization enough.
I am an active duty Marine stationed overseas. I heard about this orginization from a friend so I wrote a letter requesting some equipment to help relieve some stress, and provide a positive outlet for the guys when we have some down time. Joe wrote me back promptlly, and had our stuff in the mail withen a few days. Now my Marines have a new hobby that they really enjoy.
I am a member of the Army Professional. I heard about Bunkers in Baghdad through another member of the organization. I was pleasantly surprised at how soon Mr. Hanna replied to my email and therefore, my request. It was not soon after that, that we received the requested donation from Mr. Hanna's team. So many organizations speak of giving back and supporting the military but, often than none, it never comes to fruition. Bunkers in Baghdad is a credible organization and has earned the respect of myself and peers alike. In combat, Soldiers go through very emotional and stressful times; when organizations as Bunkers in Baghdad reach out and support the troops in order to bring a little joy and happiness; that little spark of joy and happiness does make a difference and it is sincerely appreciated. Lastly, from the team here in Afghanistan; thank you Bunkers for supporting our american fighting men and women. GOD BLESS!
Sincerely,
Sergeant Major
Soldiers serving in Afghanistan main purpose is to fight and win Americas wars. This leaves little time for recreational events nor do we have the equipment to conduct recreational events. We reached out to Joe at Bunkers In Baghdad and him and his team provided us with some much needed recreational equipment. The impact of their donation to the Soldiers is immeasurable and have brought much stress relief and joy to the Soldiers. Thanks Bunkers In Baghdad for all that you do for the Soldiers, we greatly appreciate your staff and your donation.
Being a service member serving overseas we do not have much access to recreational outlets so having an organization like Bunkers in Baghdad that is willing to acquire and ship new and gently used golf clubs is a huge morale boost. Mr. Hanna was extremely cordial and very willing to accommodate my unit; now we're able to leave our MWR department with better equipment than what they had when we arrived and we will be able to outfit many more Soldiers with clubs while we're here.
This is a great organization and we really appreciate the support for the Troops!
Hands down the best orgainization I have ever been involved with. Joe and his volunteers have no only helped myself with some serious morale boost but also some of the other Forward operating bases with clubs, balls, and mats. Being able to to forget about all the craziness of being at War makes us truly blessed by these great americans. Thank you again and help keep this great organization going by donating.

Awesome program. We had started a camp with very litle MWR activities. The equipment that we recieved from Bunkers in Baghdad definitely helped morale out.
Bunkers in Baghdad was instrumental in getting our unit started with a mentor program overseas to get more Soldiers interested. With BIB assistance, we got more people playing and outfitted the majority to play at a local course in Kuwait City. Thanks to Joe and the team at BIB for their help.
This organization has been a true blessing to our Soldiers in Afghanistan. With very little free time, and even less free space, Bunkers in Baghdad truly came through for the finest sons and daughters of the United States. Our Soldiers have spent countless hours utilizing these golf clubs while learning the ins-and-outs of the game. Thank you again BiB!!!
Great organization. I appreciate their support with helping out the teams currently deployed in Afghanistan. We had a couple members on the team that are avid golf enthusiasts so we needed some clubs in order to practice while we were deployed. The clubs and balls helped relieve stress and I was able to practice my swing. I appreciate the immediate feedback given by the organization. Thank you very much for supporting the troops.
I am a Major stationed in a NATO headquarters in Kabul serving a year tour. I had resigned myself to a full year with no golf to be had aside from my indoor putter set up. A friend also stationed over here recommended Bunkers in Baghdad and a short email and few weeks later I am able to share my love of golf with our coalition partners here in the Green Zone. It has definitely served to build strong relationships with our allies here, united in our mission and in our mutual love of golf! Great organization and we appreciate the support!
I was an avid golfer until I came home from my last deployment hurt. After Shoulder; Knee Surgery and lower Back issues I was unable to swing my X-Stiff custom Golf Clubs. Bunkers in Baghdad sent me a full set of regular shafted clubs so I could get back out and try to play some golf. I haven't been able to get through 18 holes yet but will stay after it until I do. I cannot thank the guys enough for giving me the oppertunity to get back out and do something I love. Joe sent me several emails and not only gave me golf clubs and balls but thanked me for my service every time we spoke. Great people doing Gods work as far as I'm concerned.
I am an active duty Marine that had the pleasure of benig invited to one of the Golf tournaments that the charity holds. At this tournament I was treated as a hero when the true heroes are those that donate and help keep this organization going. I had never golfed before and was quite nervous to be among professionals but the people that make this organization successful are kind, generous and amazing people. I have since gone back to the tournament and had a wonderful time. The President Joe and his charity is a gift to service members for what he has done. Golf is such an amazing sport that not only beginers can enjoy but also for the most serious golfers and service members can benefit from this sport when overseas as well. Thank you for what you do and for all of you who donate to keep this charity going.
I am an active duty Marine stationed in WNY; I was introduced to Bunkers in Baghdad through an invitation to golf in their annual charity golf tournament. I was extremely pleased with the overwelming support the local community has for a home grown charity with arms that reaches service members in every clime and place. My unit was fortunate enough to recieve several golf sets from Bunkers in Baghdad for Marines and thier families to enjoy a great round of golf and not have to endure the expense of purchasing golf clubs. More impressive is the fact that my fellow Marines who are forward deployed gets the opportunity to relieve some stress by the generous donations of this charity and all those who supports it.
Fantastic organization that is truly making a difference in the lives of our Service members around the globe, as well as our wounded in recovery. While in Iraq, my unit received clubs, balls, and turf. The unit created a driving range allowing Soldiers to hit balls following patrols and blow off steam. A great morale booster! Seeing the Bunkers' boxes arrive in the mail represented a little slice of home and was a great reminder of America's generosity.
Bunkers in Baghdad got me and my unit a set of clubs really fast! We were very satisfied with the quality of the clubs and the timeliness of getting them. BIG is a great organization for us out here in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
I really love Bunkers in Baghdad for what they're doing for all service members world-wide. Joe donated a very nice Callaway golf bag to Navy Supply Corps Foundation Japan Chapter for their Fall 2013 Golf Tournament on NAF Atsugi, Japan (U.S. Navy base). Thank you.

This is a fantastic organization that does so much for troops deployed. My team and I found ourselves on a small base with no real stress outlet until we stumbled upon Bunkers in Baghdad. With in two weeks of our request for some help, there was a package with great clubs and a ton of balls. Now we spend our evenings swinging away and having a blast. Best stress relief ever! Thanks guys!
I requested golfing equipment for two different soldiers in Afghanistan and Joe came through with flying colors. Both were thrilled to receive it and report that it was a big boost to moral among their troops. I cant thank him enough. Wonderful organization!!
After hearing about this charity, I knew I had to donate. It's such a great and unique idea. I love golfing and never know what to do with my equipment when I get new stuff. Now, I know I can send a little be of home to our troops over seas!
I am a Captain in the United States Marines. I was fortunate enough to receive more than a thousand golf balls and 2 large boxes of golf clubs, nets and turf from this great charity. While I was in Iraq- morale was at an all-time low. However- hitting golf balls gave us the opportunity to get our minds off of things; enjoy each other's company; and just have a good time (not to mention working on getting rid of that terrible slice I have). I highly recommend this charity. It has played a very important role in the lives of thousands of Marines, soldiers, airmen and sailors throughout the world. Keep up the great work.
