I have had the opportunity to work at Build Rehabilitation now, Build Ability, for more than six years. Thanks to this non-profit organization, I could grow in my profession and obtain a few positions in the company. Build allows me to grow within the company. It provides:
A healthy environment. An annual retreat to go over policies and training. The right tools to learn new skills during the year. In addition, last year, Build started a DAI group that lets you share stories about diversity and make you feel part of a community. In addition, the representation and opportunities Build Ability is giving participants through their departments/programs let them build a better future and provide options to participants. Furthermore, some participants are part of the NLACRC committee thanks to the tools from Quest, a Community Integration Program, and Supported Employment Program. Besides, participants in the Independent Living program are part of a community with activities and independent choices. Finally, a behavioral program is being implemented with natural settings for participants to graduate if possible and work with specialists and a support system.
I cannot thank Build Ability enough for supporting me and providing staff with the right tools to continue to work in favor of our participants.
