Causes: Agricultural Programs, Food, Food, Agriculture & Nutrition
Mission: Buffalo Go Green provides services and training to under-served populations in the Western New York Community. We create leaders in Green Industries, Food Systems, and Agriculture by engaging individuals, students, and families where they live to develop healthy, successful and sustainable programs for their success.
Target demographics: Those who are disenfranchised and need healthier diets to waylay health disparities.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 85,000 individuals and families
Geographic areas served: Throughout the East Side of Buffalo, NY providing freshly grown non-GMO food to our constituents, currently numbering 85,000+ annually.
Programs: FVRx (fruit & veggie prescription program), Childhood Obesity, Youth education in agriculture and green technologies, Food as Medicine, Fresh Take Meals, and Food Distribution and Access to name a few.
