Causes: Community & Neighborhood Development, Economic Development
Mission: To provide leadership that unites institutions, businesses and citizens of all races and ethnicities in a belief that the Brush Creek Corridor is a community with opportunity and a sense of well-being.
Programs: To achieve observable, measurable and sustainable improvements over three years resulting in healthy neighborhoods across the Corridor, BCCP will:
1. develop KCCommunityLink, an interactive website for the ongoing exchange of ideas and information, communicating updates and progress on action plans.
2. convene a Healthy Neighborhoods Summit to: • share best practices for neighborhood/community improvements and select critical factors or “Vital Signs” against which to measure progress over time. • write and implement specific, achievable “Action Plans” to improve the Vital Signs. Strategies will connect and coordinate public and private resources, enhancing effectiveness through collaboration and communication.
3. promote development opportunities for emerging neighborhood leaders.
