I moved here in 2005 and with the exception of my partner did not know a soul in Broward County. (knew 2 souls in Miami Beach). Two weeks after I arrived we attended a dance sponsored by a WIN member and were introduced to two ladies that were on the WIN Golf Committee. I've been a member since March of 2005, have served on the board and now am working as an Exec Asst. to the WIN pres. and her board. I can't beging to tell you the number of friends we've made thru WIN and WIN events. Our lives are much richer due to the friends we've made through this great organization! Thank you WIN!

I have been a member of WIN for several years. I find the commitment to community service and the empowerment of women to be exceptional.

They have supported the community outside of their own network for example: The Daily Bread Food Bank aka Feding South Florida.

I believe in Win's positive influence on our community. The opportunities that they can provide with the support of our community and funding will provide the platform for education, growth and new opportunities or the women of ou community and for our local economy.

I heard about WIN from a number of women in the community before my partner and I finally decided to go to a meeting. We were so glad we finally made that decision!

WIN has an amazing membership - comprised of women with strong backgrounds, tremendous experience and wonderful stories to share. From professional networking to community involvement to social events, WIN provides something for all women in the South Florida community.

I attended a festival in Broward County where I first met a representative of WIN who explained to me what this organization offered. She told me that WIN is a group of women who come together to give back to the community through charity events.
She told me tWIN also is an organization that gets together for many fun events and activiites such as, bowling, kayaking, bingo, Texas Hold Um, biking, golfing, softball, flag football, dinners, luncheons....just to name a few. Anything you can think of, WIN has to offer.
I became interested and signed up for their mailing list.
I have now been a member for three years and WIN has exceeded all my expectations.
Since signing up, I recieve emails on a weekly basis informing me of all the different happenings in the community and what the next new exciting activity Win or charity event WIN has to offer.
I highly recommend checking into this great organization. It turned out for me, to be just what I was looking for

As unique and special as lesbian women are, we share a great deal with our straight sisters. We enjoy the company of our peers, we seek out opportunities for personal and professional growth, we embrace our civic duty to improve the lives of others in our city, and we understand the political and spiritual value of greeting the world with compassion and understanding. I am proud and delighted to report that all of this is well represented in WIN/Women In Network.

I was first introduced to WIN five years ago, just as a new Board was beginning its tenure. I was new to town, and wanted (and needed) to meet women who, more or less, shared my worldview. At the monthly general meetings I met several women who have become good personal friends, as well as a wider group with whom I have benefitted through professional networking.

One of the most significant opportunities WIN offers is to provide an organization that serves a wide group of women, ranging from those in their 20's and just starting out, to those in their 50's and well established in their fields, to those who have retired from actively working and now seek to share their skills with others. If not for WIN, we simply would not have met each other. The younger women keeps the group current on what is going on today, while those with more experience teach others so they don't have to "reinvent the wheel".

WIN offers a brilliant variety of events and programs throughout the year, many of which are fundraisers for other non-profit programs, such as breast cancer research, kids in distress, school supplies for public school students, and toys for tots. They also sponsor a softball team for anyone whose knees can still bend well enough, and their annual golf event is often a sell-out fundraiser whose beneficiary changes each year.

I can personally say that without a doubt my life is better because of the women and programs WIN has brought together.
