Hi my name is Wanda Scott and I'm trying to get computers for the children in Africa, Uganda, and Kenya. I'm here in the United states but my assistant in Africa Apostle Young Louis Davids he has an outreach ministry in Uganda and I also have a associate in Kenya that has a house for the computer classes to be held in. I need help with carrying this project out so that the children there can learn to work on computers , get good jobs and or even leave and come to the states for a career. We have been praying for the Lord to open some doors for us yet we would be very thankful for your support.
Sincerely Evangelist Wanda Scott
And you have a blessed day
I have been a member of this wonderful organization since 1990, was President from 1995-1997 and now have the honor of being elected as President for the second time for the 2013-2015 Board of Directors!
This organization is so very different from others in the area, in that we are women from all over the world who enjoy sharing our traditions and cultures with others and while doing so we organize wonderful events to raise money for grants for deserving women who may have a hardship in finishing their studies. We welcome anyone who enjoys travel, great food, sharing their cultural experiences and who is willing to actively participate in furthering our endeavors.
I have been with BIWC for 6 years and on the board for 3 years. Our mission is to provide scholarships to women from foreign countries attending NOVA University hoping to achieve their academic goals and helping the people of their homeland. I have had the honor of meeting several recipients of our scholarships and I am deeply moved by how much these funds mean to them and how appreciative they are of our work on their behalf.
While we work hard to raise as much money as possible for these scholarships, we really need donors and sponsors to help us achieve our mission.
This is a social and fundraising organization that awards scholarships yearly to women from different countries attending Nova S.U. I've been with Broward International Women's Club for 4 years, on the board for 2. Have met so many interesting, dynamic women from different countries and cultures and have learned so much. Also, had the privilege of being on the scholarship selection committee and reading about and meeting such amazing, intelligent, committed young women from different parts of the world who are taking advanced studies here with the hope of improving conditions in their own countries. Their dedication has been inspiring. I'm proud to be part of an organization that helps these incredible women achieve their goals.
Thanks to the support of this amazing organization I had the opportunity to continue my education in this country. The Broward International Women Club scholarship supported me a lot in the pursuing of my masters degree. As a recepient I had the honor to interact with their members, I have to say that, they are wonderful women helping with a meaningful cause, which is helping international women students in need.
This organization is exactly what international women applying as students in the US need! I was in the same situation years ago when I applied to do graduate work, then a women's organization funded my dissertation and allowed me to graduate in time. The Broward International Women's Club is the most dedicated and hard-working local organization focused on this special group, and it is doing a wonderful job! I completely support their organizational purpose.
Broward International Women's Club has given me the opportunity to make friends, socialize and learn about other cultures and costumes from other women that like me have moved to the USA from another country, but above all it has provided all of us with the opportunity to give back to our community and to other women like us by helping young girls achieve their goal in getting a better education in the USA.
By working together in trying to raise funds for our scholarship fund, we have created bonds and friendships that will withstand time. It gives me a great feeling of accomplishment when at the end of the year we hand the check for the scholarship to the girls we have selected. I always hope we could give more and do more; and we always try to come out with new ideas and ways to collect more funds throughout the year. All the women of the club are exceptional, women who give of their time and talent generously and freely. I am very proud to belong to Broward International Women's Club and to have been its president for the past two years. Please endorse Broward International Women's Club and help us " change the world one woman at the time"
I joined BIWC in 2004:
Served as President from 2005-2007 and 2007-2009 as advisor to the Board.
It was such an honor to serve and work hand in hand with the Board and my fellow members. All of us working together for the same worthy cause. To help women from international cultures seeking financial assistance so they could gain an education with the hope to one day give back to their home country.
We give of our time and effort so that others might have an opportunity to be educated in this great country and hope spread the compassion that makes America such a great nation.
I am a member of this great Organization since 1997 and past corresponding secretary from 2001-2005. it gave me the opportunity to make good friends from all around the world, share their cultures, customs and serve together a good cause: raising funds to provide scholarships and making a difference in the lives of deserving international students at nova Southeastern University.
It does not matter where one lives to realize that women take center stage in the family and community around the world. My first hands-on experience as a board member of BIWC was to review the applications for the potential student grant recipients. I must admit reading and learning about these female students who have gone against all odds and cultural limitations to achieve education at NSU touched my heart. We all are proud members of BIWC which has assisted women of all nationalities to attain their educational goals since 1975. I take pride knowing my efforts help bring peace to the world by educating one woman at a time.
As a retired educator,I am delighted to particapate in an organization that helps give foreign women grants to NOVA S E University..These young women than take their knowledge back to their countries..
Through cultural and social events the women of BIWC are accompishing our goal...WOMEN HELPING WOMEN......while broadening friendships with other members from many countries.
I am very proud to be part of the Board of this organization. Education has always been one of my priorities in life, and to be able to help these foreign students with grants so that they can complete their studies is quite a reward!
These students will be able to make an important contribution with their acquired education when they return to their countries of origin.
Education is no doubt a very important seed to establish peace worldwide.
BIWC is an organization of dedicated and supportive women, who take the time to consider assisting with the financial needs of international students at Nova Southeastern University.
As a proud recipient of BIWC’s scholarships, I am grateful for their funding in assisting with my educational path. My dreams were to touch the lives of people through training, therapy, and community development. BIWC made an indelible mark in making such dreams realities. As a PhD candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy, I reflect on the ripple effect of this organization, because with each student that I will train, or each family that achieve their goals, or each community touched, BIWC will always be among the many individuals who made my goals possible. Thank you!
BIWC is a gift to international students (women) at the Nova Southeastern University. I am a proud recipient of the BIWC scholarship. It has helped me tremendously with my school finances and has given me an open door to meet and interact with wonderful people from different cultures around the world.
To Whom It May Concern:
I have had the pleasure of working with the Broward International Women’s Club (BIWC). This is a group of dedicated volunteers that work with the community to raise funds for deserving students at Nova Southeastern University. I have had an opportunity to speak with their award recipients and hear success stories all because of the generosity of the BIWC. Their ideas are innovative and they are making their mark in the community.
The first board meeting I attended happened to be followed by a yearly event were the scholarship grant check is handed to Nova Southeastern University, attended by University representatives, grant recipient students and some of our Club members. It was such a treat to meet these young women who were so determined to become professionals that they didn't stop at the fact that these careers were simply not available in their countries. It was very inspiring to listen to them talk about their plans once they finished and went back home. Education doesn't only changes the life of the person who receives it but also those around them, education it's the only hope for many countries that live in poverty, to raise their quality of life.
The Broward International Women's Club actively makes the selection of the girls who will receive the scholarships, through a process established by the organization, which includes evaluation of the grades and inclination to give back. I'm very proud to belong to this organization.
