This is horrible organization and I would advise all persons (both professionals considering joining this Chamber and the general public considering attending its events) to stay away!!! I am a professional in South Florida and have been a member of various chambers. This past year I joined the Broward Chamber. From the get go, they promised a lot upon joining them (examples include listing in their membership directory, free advertisement to their members, free news paper listing, discounts off of their chamber events, email communications on their events, and more), however NONE of what was represented was ever delivered to me. I have phoned the Chamber not less than ten times, have contacted their attorney, and have sent registered mail to their President, Lawrence Zolnowski (who is never in the office and for which the phone staff says "he cannot be reached directly) advising of my situation and have received NO response. I looked the Chamber up on Better Business Bureau noting an "F" rating, and not less than 19 consumer complaints that the Chamber has decided not to respond to. In short, the Chamber took my membership fee of $425, which I've concluded based on the above, was "stolen" from me. Run, don't walk away from any association with this Chamber. I consider it a "scam". Email me if you want to hear more. Thank you. Warren Marmorstein, warrenmarm@aol.com
