I have had the honor to be part of the support crew for the Brotherhood Ride for several years. As a support member I help the bicycle riders of Police, Fire, and EMS at each rest stop along their grueling trek to honor those fallen heroes who has lost their lives the previous year. This organization’s mission is to never forget those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. The Brotherhood Ride is the most rewarding volunteer organization that I have ever had the privilege to work with.

As a firefighter, this nonprofit is so important to me. I joined this nonprofit this year to help remember the fallen firefighters and police officers. Everybody with the Brotherhood Ride welcomed me with open arms. Each day we had one goal in mind: to remember the fallen that went before us. When days got difficult, we took a quick break, motivated each other and remembered why were riding. This nonprofit does so much for others and never expects anything in return. I will be a brotherhood rider for life!

I was introduced to the Brotherhood Ride in 2012 when they reached out to my agency after we experienced two line of duty deaths. This organization ensures that our fallen are not forgotten. They demonstrate their love for those they may not even know through so much more than words; they show it and the impact is tremendous. Love is a verb and it requires action. The Brotherhood Ride shows the families of our fallen that they will never be forgotten, and I'm so thankful!

I’ve been a rider and supporter of the Brotherhood Ride since they rode to honor two fallen firefighters from my agency in 2011. A more caring and committed group of people you will find no where else. They have one mission and that is to honor the fallen and carry their memories. I know first hand from many of the survivor families that the carrying on of their loved ones memories is of absolute importance, they fear the thought of people moving on and forgetting. Having the BHR in my life has helped add meaning and purpose to my life.

Top notch organization. This organization honors our fallen first responders that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Long days riding a bike 80-100 a day isn’t easy but when it gets hard I see the names on the back of our bike jerseys and remember they don’t get to go home to their families or loved ones at the end of the day. Truly amazing group of people that have a team mentality honoring our fallen. Very humbling riding to different police and fire stations to met the families of people we never met but do the same job as us. #Neverforget. Saying during the ride: “Stand down my brother you have completed your shift, let out legs carry your memory and let all that will listen that you gave your life for a total stranger protecting your community”

I have been privileged to be part of this ride since 2007 when we were founded. Although the bicycle ride in NEVER easy. Any pain is quickly forgotten when we meet the family members of those who have lost their heroes. It truly is a humbling experience spending time with the families and coworkers as they discuss how amazing their loved one was. I hope to continue with this ride until I am to old to pedal, then I will switch to the support team.

God Bless the families, friends and coworkers of these heroes!

This is my first year participating in the Brotherhood Ride. For the entire time we were riding I was amazed with how professional the organizers were. They made sure that all the participants were where they were suppose to be. As for meeting the families of the fallen hero’s it was touching. It is a feeling that will never leave me. I was a part of raising money for the families and feel that all the money that is raised will be going to the support the families of the fallen hero’s. That was important to me. I cant wait till next year.

The Britherhood Ride is a great organization that focus’s on the families of the fallen first responders. Their main goal is to let the families know that their loved ones that have everything are not forgotten and that we are still there to help support them and honor the sacrifice that was made. It is something that I will forever be proud of that I took part in and am anxious to participate in every year.

The 2020 Brotherhood Ride from Ft Myers to Live Oak was the first time I participated representing the Florida Highway Patrol. Going into it, I understood the purpose of the ride was to honor the fallen and their families. But I didn't realize until I actually participated the level of organization needed, camaraderi of first responders participating, efforts to keep cost to a bare minimum so that all proceeds go to the fallen families, amount of public support behind the ride expressed throughout the state and lastly the profound impact the ride had specifically on the families and agencies. Being able to not only tell the families verbally that their loved one wasnt forgotten but to demonstrate to them with our actions of riding a bicycle across the state made it so impactful.
5 star personal experience and 5 star rating of the founders / staff that made it all happen!

I do not know of any charitable organization in the entire country that has the dedication and drive that Jeff and Candy Morse, of The Brotherhood Ride, has year in, year out. They give their all for familes of Fallen 1st responders, letting these families know, year after year, the very important message that their loved ones will Never Be Forgotten. This means so much to the families, that I have witnessed first hand. The Brotherhood Ride also puts all the money they possibly can directly into the hands of the families of the fallen. There is no better cause out there, I am proud to support their mission.

First responders have always been close to my heart and the Brotherhood ride keeps the families of first responders close to theirs. It is one thing to say “never forget” but it is another thing to show that you have not and will not forget. I have seen first hand in 2018 when I volunteered for the ride how touched families and communities were by what they do.
The Brotherhood Ride raises money for these incredibly strong families but they also let the families know that they are not alone or forgotten.

Words cannot describe the Brotherhood Ride. I rode in the ride this year in honor of one of my friends and fellow firefighters who died in the line of duty. I feel honored to see and be a part of this amazing organization. The way in which this ride honors the fallen, and the selflessness of everyone involved is really moving. I can't begin to describe what this event means to the families, friends, and coworkers of our fallen emergency first responders. Showing them that their loved ones are never forgotten through the ride and ceremonies is so meaningful. Incredible and meaningful charity that I'm proud to be a part of.

My son, Waldwick NJ Police Officer Christopher Goodell was killed in the line of duty on July 17, 2014. In September 2015 The Brotherhood Ride honored the memory of my son Christopher along with 26 other Fallen First Responders. We are so honored and thankful for organizations such as these that keep the the memory of the fallen alive and give so much love and support to the families of the Fallen. We greatly appreciated the generous donation that they gave us for our son’s Scholarship Fund which goes to help students who chose a career in public service to obtain their dreams. It is these journeys of selflessness and love that have been shown that has helped to give myself, Christopher’s loved ones and I am sure many other families of the fallen, the strength and hope that keeps us going. May the Angels always guide The Brotherhood Ride and be by your sides as you continue on your incredible journeys of dedication and love.

I've seen the healing begin for the friends and families of the fallen when these riders show up. I have been profoundly touched by this organization, and witnessed the blessings showered on others through their dedication and commitment. These cyclists often ride to the point of complete exhaustion, just to honor others they've never even met.

I gotta tell you-this group is the best and takes sacrifice for those who have died in the line of duty-every year they bike for free to honor those people and give a check to those families who are left to grieve. They depend purely on donations to make this ride happen every year-unfortunately it will happen every year because we ALWAYS lose public safety personnel in the day. The group was originally founded by Jeff and Candy Morse and they have a slew of volunteers that help them. Multiple times a year they will hold fundraisers whether it be a golf tournament or just hang out at a local restaurant who will donate a percentage of their take. The Elks Club will usually donate the night's sleep and meals wherever they may bike to. Other food and drink are donated by various other companies as well as sunblock and socks even. One year they even honored a relative of mine who died in a fertilizer explosion in West,TX. They started biking from Louisiana and ended up in West, TX. Folks, that's a lot of miles. If you have any desire to help and honor a fallen officer, K9, or firefighter-this is the one to donate to because they keep nothing for themselves-it all goes to the families of the fallen

I've participated in the Brotherhood Ride the past couple if years. The impact that such a small group leaves on the communities and most importantly the familes effected by a line of duty death is huge. After their death everyone says that they will never forget the sacrifices these individuals have made. The unfortunate reality is that as life moves on they do get forgotten. By the Brotherhood Ride honoring their sacrifices a year later it means so much to the loved ones that not only are we proving that they haven't been forgotten, but the way that the team puts in the effort and dedication by riding bicycles hundreds of miles to each community to meet with the families and provide emotional and financial support to them is second to none.

Jeff, Candy, and the small group of North Collier, FL (formerly North Naple FD) firefighters that started this non profit are the definition of brotherhood, and have started an undeniably extraordinary organization 10 years ago. I have had the honor of experiencing what The Brotherhood Ride is all about first hand. This small group of dedicated first responders selflessly take personal and vacation time away from their jobs and families to ride a bicycle hundreds of miles across Florida in 7 days. The only reason is to honor our fallen brothers and sisters who make the ultimate sacrifice while protecting their communities and most times total strangers. The money raised goes directly to their families that are left behind. Not only does the financial part help, but the impact that this small group leaves on the lives of the families is something they will always remember. The ride is in July every year, about the hottest time in Floridas summer, and the team will travel on average 80-100+ miles a day. The route traveled changes every year as the ride passes directly through the communities effected by a line of duty death, meeting with the family members and co workers. The amount of dedication and pride that it takes to overcome the adversities this small group is faced with and overcomes to honor a total stranger is something that they really recognize. I believe that is what makes the biggest impact as we remind them that their loved one will NEVER be forgotten.

I began riding with this dedicated group of men and women to honor a fellow Deputy Sheriff, who was my supervisor killed in the line of duty, responding to a Domestic Disturbance. That was 2014 and I want to do this ride every year, since. I consider this an honor to ride for these fallen Hero's, and raising money for their families. To also bring a smile to the families and communities we meet along our journey.

This nonprofit organization has dedicated many hours for the families of fallen fire and police officers. They have organized many events and ridden thousands of miles to honor these fallen men/women. They have raised thousands of dollars. I can't say enough about how grateful I am that this organization chooses to help these families of fallen officers/firefighters. These men and women dedicate their lives to helping people and this is a way to give back to their families on how much we appreciate the work they did.
