Mission: To provide for the welfare of poor, needy and underprivileged individuals. The brother benno foundation is dedicated to distributing the generous gifts entrusted to it by the community, to serve and uplift the dignity of those in the community who are in vital need in north coastal san diego county. The goals of the brother benno foundation are to see that, within the limits of our resources, no one in our area goes hungry, no one goes without shelter or clothing, and most importantly, no one goes without someone to care for him or her. We also help our guests attain self-sufficiency.

brother benno's thrift shop generates revenue to cover the daily expenses of the center, including administrative costs. It is a source of clothing, furniture, and household goods for the community it serves. In addition, the thrift shop provides jobs for the community. Of the total salaries and wages paid by brother benno foundation fye 07/31/2017, just over half were paid to operate the thrift shop.
Brother Benno Foundatiuon is a non profit and non denominational charity located in Oceanside, Ca. and serves the needy, homeless, hungry and those who are in need of help with drugs and alcohol. Their soup kitchen aka The Brother Bennos Center serves breakfast 6 days a week and along with that meal each person is given a bag luch to go. Free bread is available during hours of operation and families in need of food can get emergency food packs after registering. The founders of Brother Bennos receive $1 a year for their pay. Lay Ministers run the center as well as volunteers. They have numerous homes that house drug and alcohol recovering addicts who work at the center and go to NA 7 AA meetings and eventually work their way back into society. Their recovery program lasts appx. 1 year. They are a fantastic organization and since they have been serving the homeless they have served over 1 million meals. This is a great charity to contribute to.
