Causes: Farmland Preservation, Food
Mission: The purpose of the organization is to reclaim underutilized farmland for agricultural and research purposes, while maintaining and cultivating ecological richness and diversity and involving local communities in educational programs and direct hands on participation in farming and conservation activities.
Programs: Organic farming - grow fruits and vegetables organically for sale to the public. There is a small trial plot of 1-3 acres. Goal is to grow to 10 acres. Soil fertility will be maintained through organic and biodynamic methods that recycle plant and animal waste.
