Why go all the way to New York City when Broadway By the Bay is right here in our community? The shows are terrific! Bravo to Brooke Knight and Jim Gardia! The artistic group plan two hugely popular shows, a third show that is creatively edgy, and the fourth show highlights a famous producer. They are passionate about arts for the youth in the community with the outreach program. I'm a long time sponsor of BBBay and am proud to be associated with such a class act.
Our family is passionate about musical theater. But, we can be quite critical about the quality of local productions. That said, Best of Broadway consistently surpasses all our expectations. The professionalism, talent, and creativity, that goes into each production is apparent every time the curtain rises. And the personal touch of their box office staff makes the whole experience a wonderful encounter.
I have been attending the musicals produced by BBB (and PCLO)for over 20 years. the shows have been outstanding and more fun than those in SF. We ahve cancelled our subscripion to the SF shows because the BBB shows are better, cheaper and more accessible.
Broadway By The Bay truly puts out top notch performances at bargain prices. Serving the San Francisco Peninsula with musical classics and occasionally more cutting edge offerings. Great direction, casting, and music are typically the expectation from BBB. A great organization.
I've been a tremendous fan of BBB for many years! Never miss a production and I completely agree with the quote "Who needs Broadway in New York when we have Broadway by the Bay." I've also had the privilege of sitting on the Board and am so impressed by their dedicated, energetic and very talented staff. Hooray for BBB!
I have enjoyed Broadway By The Bay as a performer, audience member, board member, and assisted with fundraising, costume, makeup and hair design and volunteer regularly to support this grand organization.
I've been a stage manager for Broadway by the Bay for 16 years, and volunteered on the crew for a few years before that. The company provides a wonderful opportunity for community performers to appear in a professional quality production alongside theater professionals. Volunteer opportunities exist for crew members, where valuable technical theater skills are taught. I am a big fan of the company, because they provide an opportunity for community involvement in every area of musical theater production, without compromising artistic quality.
I've been a patron, season-ticket holder and cast member of shows for Broadway by the Bay for the past 10 years. Its an invaluable institution and we are a better community for it. From its high-quality productions to its children's theatre program it is one of the few non-profits that gives something to everyone (actor and audience member alike). Above it all, its leaders and staff are some of the finest, most dynamic and dedicates people I've had the privilege to know and work along side.
Broadway By The Bay has been a fixture in the community for the past 45 years and I have had the privledge to be involved with the organization for the past 8 years. I am continually amazed at the quality of productions presented and the talent on the stage (this is all due to the talented staff Broadway By The Bay has behind the scenes). I started with BBB as a volunteer for their annual fundraising gala eight years ago and today I have been elected President of the Board of Directors for a second term. During my seven years on the Board of Directors, I have chaired and co-chaired the annual fund raising gala and spent time volunteering to support our casts and crew at Tech Dinners and Opening Night. I look forward to my continual involvement with BBB and the future growth of the organization and local theatre.
BBBay is probably the greatest "hidden" treasure on the SF Peninsula. Great shows, wonderful productions with full costumes, staging and orchestra; reasonably priced. We do four shows a season. While admitting some bias, I have never had a guest with us that did not rave about the production. A must see.
