Brittany's Hope was essential in helping our family bring our 2 sons home from Haiti. We were grateful for the opportunity to adopt biological siblings, but financially, it was a strain. Through the BH grant, we were able to adopt without going into debt, which helped to relieve the financial stress when we finally brought the boys home. We are beyond grateful for the staff, donors, and all who made this grant possible. I would highly recommend Brittany's Hope to any family seeking financial assistance for their adoption. The process was intuitive and the staff were eager to assist us.

Brittany's Hope provided me with a grant to help bring my daughter home from India. The funds I received helped me to cover the cost of travel and an extended amount of time in India when picking up my daughter. It was amazing to not have to focus on finances, and be able to focus all of my attention on my sweet girl. The organization was very easy to work with, accommodating, and so very helpful. I hope to be in a position in the future to help pay forward what was so freely given to me and my daughter. I am so incredibly grateful for the help I received from Brittany's Hope. We were blessed to partner with Brittany's Hope almost three years ago as we adopted a precious 6 year-old girl with Down Syndrome from China. From start to finish, Brittany's Hope was a constant support and encouragement in our adoption journey. Very early on the staff at Brittany's Hope explained in detail their financial assistance process. And there were no surprises along the way and they held true to what they originally offered. But what they didn't say was just how encouraging they would be along the way (emails, cards, etc.). And even after we brought our girl home from China, they were the first organization (other than the placing agency) to reach out with a gift for our new daughter. Our family was lucky enough to be awarded a grant for our adoption of our daughter from India. The grant greatly off-loaded the financial burden that comes with adoption. We did not qualify for other grant programs due to religion restrictions or income limitations but we were no less burdened financially so the fact that Brittany's Hope helped us meant a lot. I have been very impressed with their ongoing, personal communication and interest in our daughter - we were never made to felt like a number. They took a personal interest in our family and we will be forever grateful. What a wonderful organization and we are happy to give back!!!!!

I currently sponsor two little girls from Vietnam through Brittany's Hope. This nonprofit is wonderfully personal and allows, in fact encourages, sponsors to write to their sponsored children, send photos and gifts, which are delivered directly to the orphanages by the organization. They also translate letters from the children to the sponsors and sends photos of the children to the sponsors. Personally, I love the one-on-one contact with the girls I sponsor and Brittany's Hope is always so very helpful in answering questions. I also love that the organization knows and has a good relationship with the orphanages where the sponsored children live. It is all so personal. They also provide adoption grants to families but I've not had experience with that aspect of Brittany's Hope.

The Brittany's Hope staff have such a passion for helping connect families and to make sure that the financial barrier is not the only barrier keeping families apart. If you are seeking a way for family and friends to help you overcome the financial barrier, then I would recommend the Brittany's Hope organization. It allows for a matching grant opportunity and allows for your adoption story to be shared with others just waiting to support you and your family in overcoming that financial barrier.

From the first moment, Brittany's Hope felt like family. While waiting to be matched with a child through adoption, we had the chance to participate in Brittany's Hope 5k in September 2019. We had heard such wonderful things about their work, and seeing many staff in person at this event helped us recognize the incredible work they were doing, and how they have such laser focus on helping children. Literally days later, we matched with our now son, Luke, who was in China! We had been through a heartbreaking journey with a little boy that ultimately was not able to leave his country, because he was too medically unstable. Brittany's Hope blessed us with such kind support in this difficult time...and when God orchestrated the details of Luke's adoption, we rejoiced with them. Brittany's Hope then generously gave us a grant to help bring him home, which we are/were so grateful for! We can't begin to say what that meant to us, especially in looking back now. With the tremendous support of our friends and family alongside Brittany's Hope, Luke came HOME just three months later, on 12/28/19. It was only three weeks before China closed to international travel for adoption, due to Covid. Their generosity and support has made an incredible difference to our family and to Luke. The ability to focus more on getting to him and working out the logistical/paperwork details and less on financial juggling meant that he has spent the last two years in a FAMILY. Getting advanced medical care, therapies, proper nutrition, gaining language and mobility, and being loved beyond measure. Brittany's Hope knows that children belong in families, and we could not have felt more supported and encouraged! They will always hold a special place in our hearts ������

We received this grant, which helped us more than we could ever have known. We thought that we would be using this grant to help me stay home a few months post-adoption as all the upfront fees were paid. What we didn't know was that things would go off course in our son's country with Covid related issues and expiring visa issues, requiring us to end up renting a condo for two months post what was paid in hotels. We also lost airfare money on non-refundable tickets because we couldn't prove the child (our son didn't yet live with us while in the country) lived with us. Thanks to this grant, we were able to fly home!

We are so thankful for the support we received during our adoption process. It was so encouraging and helpful. We are so blessed to have our daughter from China. You all are really changing lives through this ministry.

I sponsor a little girl at the House of Love in Vietnam through this amazing Charity, Brittany’s Hope. I have been a donor for Brittany's Hope for quite some time. I like the idea that 100 percent of my contributions go to the cause I selected . Brittany's Hope is a great Non Profits Organization that helps a lot of children. They hold a lot of fund raisers to raise money for the children and even finds corporations that will sometimes match donations. The money is used to help people adopt children, to build better housing for the children in orphanages in poorer countries and to provide care for these children. They have a program that you can sponsor a child and all the money goes to take care of that child and you are given yearly pictures and updates on that child. There is even a day each year that they skype with the children and you can go to a dessert social and talk with your child. You can even sponsor the child through their college years so the child has a chance to break the chain of poverty. I strongly recommend that you consider donating to this Non Profit Organization as they help a lot of children break the chain of poverty.

I have witnessed Brittany's Hope Organization change the lives of hundreds of orphans multiple times. I went on a service trip with the organization to Vietnam in 2015 and then again in 2017 as a student at Etown. I watched the staff members dedicated and passionate work in fundraising and their ability to come together with the Elizabethtown College students and the Elizabethtown surrounding community in a beautiful way. Their care and dedication is irreplaceable and the work they do is life changing. I plan on sponsoring a child with them and hold great trust in everything they do to help the children they serve.

When my husband and I began our journey adopting our precious son from Eastern Europe, we did not know how we were going to pay the $35-$40k that it cost to bring him home. We looked into grants, but our income which, here in the DC area is modest, disqualified us from most of the grants out there. However, Brittany's Hope accepted our application for a matching grant and we raised funds by selling homemade products to friends and family. The $3000 was such a help to us and the matching grant was a fun way to have others to help. Paula Tobias, who coordinated everything, was a wonderful and kind liaison. Our sixth adoption...so many waiting children needing a permanent and caring family that will provide unconditional love. We have been blessed that with faith, we were able to complete another adoption. Each being a daunting financial challenge but with the support of Brittany's Hope Foundation and their strong mission to assist families with international adoption, we completed the adoption of our son from China.

Our adoptive son is 11 years old and has a physical handicap that reduced his ability to find a family. Thinking we were done raising children, our hearts knew someone needed to take him and who better than our family. This makes our eighth child, each of which has brought a new perspective to our lives.... Faith brought us to Brittany's Hope and gave us the support we needed to raise our seeding match. Their continued progress reports gave us the energy to keep moving forward in spreading the word. We were able to make our match the week before we flew to China to pick up our son.

We are not very open people about our personal lives but Brittany's Hope seeding program motivated us to share our story. Through our newspaper story and Facebook campaign, we received other "in kind" support, such as donated airline miles. Our prayers are that this amazing organization can continue to help place more children. Please consider supporting Brittany's Hope Foundation, we have been blessed by them.

Our family adopted our son in 2007 from Vietnam, and very much wanted to add to our family again through adoption. Sadly, the U.S. stopped adoptions from Vietnam in 2008 due to corruption and child trafficking concerns. While we attempted several other adoption options, we felt strongly led wait for Vietnam to reopen to U.S. adoptions so our 4th child would share our son's birth country and ethnic heritage. So we waited 6 long years for adoptions to reopen. In 2014 when we got the news that Vietnam had chosen to open a small, pilot program for special needs children, we were overjoyed and started the process immediately. We were the first family to have our paperwork submitted to the Vietnamese government! We received the referral of 7 month old Linh Khanh Ho in Febrary of 2015. Unfortunately, because of Hague regulations and being a new process, we waited a year and a half after seeing our daughters face of excruciating delays and unknowns, at one point even being told the process might not being completed, until we were able to travel to being our daughter home.
While we were incredibly grateful for the financial support that the seedling grant from Brittany's Hope provided, what was amazing and truly an answer to prayer was the constant support and prayer that Brittany's Hope was to our family through the long and difficult wait. They regularly checked in with us, asked where the process was, and offered counsel and prayers. They even provided in-country support when we visited our 9 year old son's orphanage and spent time in the city of his birth!
We have had the amazing opportunity to learn more about all the different kinds of work that Brittany's Hope does around the world, specifically in Vietnam. While we don't know if we will be adding to our family through adoption again, we do know that we will be working with Brittany's Hope through all of their amazing programs.

This grant was instrumental in helping us complete our adoption. Some of our donors had some technical difficulties with donating via the web site but those were worked out. The hardest thing for us was the timing of the grant fund raising. Our fund raising time was from date of referral until we traveled to pick up our daughter, just shy of 4 month. The amount of time was not the difficulty as mush as the time of year (summer). We had to cancel several of our planned fundraisers either because of venue use issues (May, June and July are very popular wedding months) or because vacations and family reunions had too many friends and family out of town. Fortunately, we had received several pre-fundraising commitments around Christmas time from friends and family and that really helped us to raise more than our goal.

Our family is beyond thankful for the support we received from Brittany's Hope Foundation. Their ministry was instrumental in allowing us to bring our 4 1/2 year old son home from China. They not only blessed us financially, but with great encouragement during a weary time of waiting. Our experience with their ministry is nothing but positive. My husband and I always wanted to adopt. After we both graduated college and started our careers we launched out on our first amazing adoption adventure. In 2008 we applied with Holt International to adopt our first child. We were matched with our son in January of 2009 and brought him home June of 2009. He was the cutest 6 month old ever!!! In 2010 we applied again with Holt International for our second child. This process took much more time. It wasn't until December of 2011 that we were matched with our daughter, also born in Ethiopia. We brought her home in May of 2012. She was 14 months old. She was a very resilient little girl! In 2013 we applied again with Holt International and came very close to bringing home a waiting child from Ethiopia. But this wasn't meant to be. In January of 2015 Rhonda found a sweet waiting child on Holt's Korea page. In just 3 short weeks our family was matched with a 14 month old girl with multiple medical needs. We arrived home with her December 24th, 2015. She was 26 months old. She is the perfect addition to our family! Along this last adoption journey we had friends and family approach us asking if there was anyway they could give toward our adoption fees. We were blown away by this! We did no fundraising at all for the first two adoptions and so this was unknown territory for us. We talked with Holt International about this. They mentioned your matching grant. We then found you online and inquired. The information was clear and concise on how the process would play out. Your staff is always quick to respond via email and very helpful. We are so thankful that your foundation exists. It was such a relief to point our friends and family to your website and they could give what they were comfortable with in the comfort of their homes. We are still shocked that we made our goal! International adoption is very expensive, but we know now to not let that stop us! Thank you so much for helping our family bring home our daughter.

Some time ago, my wife and I traveled overseas on a mission's trip and there in Southeast Asia we saw the needs of many homeless children firsthand. This was hard to see by itself, but then we began to realize that not only were many of the children homeless, many were also abandoned.

This knowledge broke our hearts and as a result of seeing this, God began the process of working in our lives, calling us to be more actively involved in caring for the orphans of the world.

Finally, after much prayer and deliberation our family made the decision to adopt, to open our home to a little boy and to provide him with the love and nurture he needs to flourish in life.

At the end of 2012, Russia enacted a ban forbidding Americans from adopting from Russia. Our family was one of those who were "caught in the middle," having already visited our future son once. To say that we were devastated that the process had come to an abrupt end would be a gross understatement.

Several months before, we had received a matching grant from Brittany's Hope for our adoption. When the foundation heard about our situation, they were quick to contact us to express their sympathy and offer encouragement. They authentically cared about us as people and as an adoptive family.

Fast forward to 2015. It was with great joy that we were able to welcome Estella into our family from Burundi, Africa. Brittany's Hope transferred our grant to this adoption, making it possible for us to travel and bring our daughter home.

We applied for an Adoption Grant from Brittany's Hope in order to help offset some of the expenses associated with the adoption of our daughter from China. From first contact through receipt of the grant funds we could not have been more pleased with the folks at Brittany's Hope. Every contact I had with them during the application and review process was met with a warm, cheerful and encouraging response and prompt action, it was a true pleasure every time we spoke. Now that we have completed our adoption and our daughter is here with us I have had the opportunity on several occasions to discuss with other families who are in the process of their own adoptions various grant programs and my first recommendation is always to contact Brittany's Hope as your first resource. We cannot thank the wonderful people working with this fine organization for all the outstanding work they are doing and the blessings they continue to bestow on adoptive families.

With the help of a grant from Brittany's Hope, we were able to bring home our precious son Malachi from China. Malachi has Down Syndrome and is such a gift to our family. He joins his 9 siblings. Brittany's Hope was a pleasure to work with. Their procedure to apply for a grant and to receive a grant was very clear and not rigorous. The capability to do much of the required paperwork etc online was great. Any questions that j had were quickly answered via phone or email. They were a pleasure to work with.

Brittany's Hope helped us with our adoption expenses. Two weeks ago (after a 2+ year process), we finally brought Li-eun home from South Korea. She has a rare medical condition, which she received excellent care for in South Korea, and had been on a Waiting Child list with our agency. After we were matched in April 2014, we waited until September 2015 to bring her home (South Korea has a very long court process). We went into our adoption process with a certain amount saved up, but the total costs were about what the two of us earned in a year (when I was working part-time; we're now both full time). Because we are a young family, and had spent our early, post-college and married years working and volunteering with a non-profit Hurricane Katrina Relief organization, we did not have the total amount saved up. Brittany's Hope provided us with a matching grant that completely covered the costs of our second (custody) trip. Their generosity was only matched by their professionalism; throughout this process, we have interacted with many individuals and entities, and I can truly say that our interactions with Brittany's Hope were among the most helpful, courteous, and encouraging.

Brittany's Hope was very instrumental is helping us bring our 3 boys home from Ethiopia. We had answered the call to adopt 3 more children 2 1/2 years after bringing home a brother and sister sibling group in 2011. Many family and friends wanted to help and by using the matching grant through Brittany's Hope we were able to raise a substantial amount to help us with the final costs of adoption. Although there have been many up and downs these past 9 months since the boys have come home, we can definitely see the Lord's hand in helping all of us to adjust and attach to one another. Our adoption agency did the vetting and felt, because of our daughter's special need that would require ongoing life long care, we qualified for a $10,000 grant from Brittany's Hope. But our travel to China was impending. We had from July 1, when the grant cycle began, to July 9th, when we flew to China, to complete the required paperwork/contract and raise the required $5,000 for Brittany's Hope...all from a vacation in rural North Carolina where accessing the internet and a notary was difficult. However, the staff at Brittany's Hope was more than patient and flexible. They helped us complete required paperwork as quickly as possible so we could focus on reaching out to friends and family who'd pledged to support us. We were able to raise the funds for Brittany's Hope before we left for China. Once home, a real, honest to goodness check for $10,000 arrived in the mail from our adoption agency. We are amazed and beyond grateful for the financial support, which relieves some of the financial stress of traveling abroad and now preparing for surgery and deductibles. Our family is so grateful for the opportunity to work with Brittany's Hope Foundation! Without the help from their grant and fundraising our adoption would not have been possible. We started our 2nd adoption after falling in love with a sweet little girl in China with down syndrome who had been abandoned at birth. We had already spent all our savings and everything we had on our first adoption 2 years ago but we knew this little girl was meant to be part of our family. Adopting is expensive! And we are so grateful for Brittany's Hope for coming alongside us as we made this huge investment to adopt three sisters from Bulgaria. Our girls were placed in an orphanage when they were 2, 4, and 6 years old. When they were 6, 8, & 10, they were placed in two separate foster homes for almost 2 years before we were able to adopt them. While we had tried to save for our adoption, our expenses were far greater than we had anticipated. Our grant from Brittany's Hope gave us a huge boost! It has been a big relief that we did not have to take out loans or have credit card debt as a result of our adoption. This leaves us less stressed and more able to love and nurture the girls instead of worrying about money.

I'm a single mother with two adopted daughters from China. In 2014, I felt inspired to adopt again but was a full-time graduate student at the time. The financial obligation was the only hurdle to adopting a lovely 9 year old boy who captured my heart with his smile and self-confident expression. The costs of an international adoption can be over $20,000! I committed to the adoption and I submitted an application to Brittany's Hope at the same time. Within weeks, I learned of being accepted into the Seedling Grant program, which gave me confidence and trust that, over the next year, I would be able to fundraise all needed funds. Receiving that first promise of support made a tremendous difference to my outlook on the huge task ahead. I applied for every adoption grant I was eligible for, and did receive some of them, but that first show of support was the most important because it carried me through the rest of the year. I also felt good sharing the story of BH and hopefully expanding the BH family of supporters. Thank you for all you do.

When my husband and I learned that our international adoption from China would be fast tracked we panicked. Though thus far we had financed our own adoption through savings and creative fundraising in our community we were suddenly looking at traveling in a matter of weeks, rather than months. Brittany's Hope walked us through every step of the fundraising process and together we raised the necessary funds to bring our son home. What we really loved about Brittany's Hope is unlike other granting organizations they play it forward. The funds we raised will help another family bring their son or daughter home to their forever family. Truly the greatest gift there is.

We started our adoption journey August of 2013 through Building Blocks in Medina Ohio, and Children's house international in Washington, we found our son and finished the home study as well as all the paperwork. Most recently, our already large family began the adoption process to bring home special needs twins from China. Our budget being already stretched, we were concerned about how to finance this adoption. We began holding fundraisers and such, but we were still short on our funding. At the prompting of our agency, we applied for a Brittany's Hope adoption grant. Brittany's Hope is a unique organization, in that they have a seedling program, so money we raised was used to support other families who were closer to traveling. And then when our time came to travel, the money we raised was matched, by this amazing agency. Communications with this agency were excellent. The staff I met and talked to were very professional and courteous. I am very, very impressed with this agency, and cannot tell you how much we appreciated their assistance. Our boys are now HOME! Brittany's Hope is a wonderful non-profit organization that provides matching grants to families adopting a special needs child from another country. Their application is very simple and they provide excellent support throughout the fundraising process. They work through your adoption agency and the money is released directly to your agency once the child is home with you. We were awarded a grant early in our process and quickly raised the funds needed for the matching portion. It took two years for our adoption to finalize but when we came home the money was waiting for us. This was very helpful for us to quickly pay off the expenses from the travel. We adopted the first time in 2008. During our adoption trip, we saw the little boy in person that we'd seen in pictures. We started praying for him to find a family - little did we know that this little boy was to become our son. We began the process of adopting in in November of 2012. Since our son is from the same orphanage as our daughter, we decided to have our daughter travel with us. What an amazing experience for her and us.
Our family consists of 2 biological sons (15 and 12) and our 2 adopted children (both 8). We rely on Christ and know that he will answer prayers. We recently returned home with our 2 year old son from Ethiopia who was diagnosed with "special needs". Our nearest children's hospital is 2 hours away. The expenses from doctor visits and travel can quickly add up, especially and the heels of recent adoption expenses. The grant from Brittany's Hope Foundation was so essential in helping to meet our needs those first weeks home. With the added expenses that a "special needs" adoption can entail, Brittany's Hope is helping to ease some of the financial burden placed on a family blessed with the adoption of a special needs child or children. We are so thankful that Brittany's Hope is encouraging families to take on these challenges through their support.

I recently returned from China with our new 4 year old daughter, Teagen. Teagen is a happy and healthy girl who waited 4 years for a family due to extensive birthmarks. Brittany's Hope understand the challenges facing children with special needs and provides grants to help make these adoptions possible. I am a student at Elizabethtown College, and this past May I was granted the opportunity to volunteer with Brittany's Hope Foundation and travel to the beautiful country of Vietnam to lend a helping hand. While in Vietnam, I was able to assist Brittany's Hope Foundation in improving the lives of children living in Brittany's Hope sponsored orphanages by delivering donated mattresses, formula, vitamins, clothes, toys, bikes, food, and most importantly love and care. This was the best experience I have ever had in my life and it will forever stay close to my heart. Brittany's Hope Foundation is one of the most successful non-profits I have ever come in contact with in the sense that they truly impact children positively all over the world. Their staff is compassionate and believes in the work they do which definitely shows through their work. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with the Brittany's Hope Foundation and hope to volunteer with them again in the future!

I recently volunteered for Brittany’s Hope Foundation (BHF) at their Walk of Love event on September 14th. As always, my experience working with the BHF was amazing. At the Walk of Love event, I was assigned simple tasks: moving boxes, setting up, moving food, cleaning, etc. Not many organizations can combine fun and efficient productivity, but they’ve got it down. There was no shortage of laughter even when we were running out of tables, losing boxes, losing our minds, and rushing to get things done in time
Their dedication to the foundation, its mission, and the overall message is indescribable. I noticed this most at the end of the 5K event when the cofounder gave a short speech. He briefly mentioned the origins of the foundation and ended with the importance of helping others. We hear it all the time, especially at Elizabethtown College whose motto is service learning. It’s just different to experience this on the larger scale that BHF works, which is ironic and impressive since BHF is such a small organization. Their helping hand reaches around the globe, as exemplified by the former orphans present at the 5K. I’m always left in awe after hearing their stories and witnessing first-hand the work that the foundation does, and the Walk of Love experience was no exception.

There are times in your life when you know the right thing to do. For me, Vietnam was the right thing at the right time. As the executive director of marketing and communications for Elizabethtown College I had heard amazing stories from faculty and students who had traveled before with Brittany's Hope. Admittedly, Vietnam wasn’t on my bucket list. Now I ask myself, having returned from this life changing experience of service outreach, “How could it not have been!?”
Every College administrator should be as blessed as I, to be given the opportunity to live and work alongside students in a foreign land-watching them laugh and cry with children who have so little. It was a complete privilege to join our students on this journey. I saw the best they have to offer and know they will make a difference in the world just as they have in the lives of these young people a half world away.
As college administrators we can’t lose sight of the valuable contribution life experiences like these provide for our students. Since returning from Vietnam, my life has changed in ways I never imagined. The trip has made me a better mother, a better administrator and a better human being.

This past May I went with Brittany's Hope to Vietnam and had the most amazing three weeks of my life. The work that Brittany's Hope does for children in foreign countries is remarkable! Plus all their workers are some of the friendliest, most passionate people I have ever met!

This past May, I went on a trip to Vietnam with the Brittany's Hope Foundation. While there, we worked in a number of different orphanages. This organization is truly outstanding. They really care about what they are doing and have such a positive impact on the lives of so many children. I would definitely tell everyone to get involved with Brittany's Hope! The two and a half weeks that I spent working with that organization truly changed my outlook on life. They are seriously amazing!

This organization plays an amazing roll in the support of families trying to adopt. Most families will realize that it takes a ton of time, and money to follow through with an adoption process. Brittany's Hope allowed our families to work hard at fundraising for our cause and after completing a very simple process, we were awarded a matching grant for the funds that we had raised.

We have had such a positive experience with our adoption overall, as many members of our family and church helped us to make it possible to adopt our special young lady. Brittany's Hope was part of that support. We had hoped to raise the money to achieve the matching seed grant through small anonymous donations online, but when we told a family member of our plans, she said, "We (she and her husband) want to give the whole amount." It was so touching to have them share in our blessing in this way and to have the Brittany's Hope program stand in support, both of us and the many children who need a home. We were able to raise $2500 with Brittany's Hope's help and they then matched it so that we got $5000 to help us adopt a child from Ethiopia.
I am a teacher and my wife is a stay at home mom. We wanted to help with the huge orphan problem in this world, but did not have enough money. I recieve letters from her and we are able to send her gifts in addtion to our sponsorship - our choice. It gives us great joy to be able to help one of these special children. Brittany's Hope is a wonderful non-profit organization. As someone involved in allocations for non-profits, I have quite a bit of experience understanding where money goes and how funds are allocated. Brittany's Hope has a long standing and fiscally responsible history that is just commendable. They are interested in applying money to their goals primarily and work diligently to enure that if something is not cost effective, that it be altered for improvement.

Aside from that understanding, our family is a recipient of a child specific grant of $7,500 that went directly to the adoption costs of our acute special needs son from China. Without these monies, we wouldn't not have been in a position to bring home our son and he would most likely have died. Being able to be an active part in the sponsorship program was just amazing.

We also have a candid view of fund and supply raising, getting involved in multiple programs with Brittany's Hope to support their efforts worldwide in the preservation of children. The Sunflower Project is one of our favorites- supplying children aging out of the orphan system with 'life-supply' bags to help them succeed in the adult world. Other programs are just as meaningful and amazing.

This is one of my favorite non-profit organizations. It is quality through and through.

Brittanys Hope helped our family bring two children home from China by granting them each 5,000.00 This was invaluable and helped us feel we could proceed with committing to our kids. Without BH we may not have been able to begin our adoptions due to finances.

I used to live in Elizabethtown,Pa and I knew Brittany Abel personally .She was a pleasant young woman well loved by her adoptive family. When she was killed tragically in a car accident,her adoptive parents who missed her very much, founded Brittany's Hope , a non profit organization that helped the adoption of handicapped orphans from different countries. Brittany's Hope is an organization of such integrity. They offer personal support and give all the money to the children and facility itself. It is not an abstract bureaucracy; when I called, I spoke to a daughter who had been adopted by the family who founded the organization. They do fantastic work with orphans whose outlooks are very bleak in Vietnam and cannot be legally adopted.

I have been involved in Brittany's Hope Foundation for over 7 years now. In beginning to volunteer with this tremendous foundation, working with the dedicated staff, board members, and children we serve I became extremely rooted and dedicated to the cause. I have served many roles over the years with the foundation- board member, etc. BHF has an extreme passion for adding the less fortunate and operates like no other organizations I know- 100% funding to the cause. My greatest joys of my time working with the organization have been working firsthand with the improvised children we serve in the country of Vietnam- it has changed my life forever.

I have always had a passion to help orphanages in Vietnam, however I never knew how to get started since I have never been there. Last month, Lancaster Newspapers wrote an article about Brittany's Hope Foundation and how they were collecting duffle bags filled with essentials, to be sent to orphanages in Vietnam. I contacted Mai-Lynn Abel who is Director of Humanitarian Aid at Brittany's Hope, after I went to their website and read about what the foundation does. This is exactly the organization that I have been looking for, and my connection to help me help the orphanages in Vietnam. I met with Mai-Lynn in person and was just so amazed, touched and inspired by what Brittany's Hope does for the orphanages and how 100% of their donations is used for the needs of the orphanages, such as need for cribs, medical supplies and clothing.

Hello, I volunteer for Brittany's Hope on a semi-frequent basis. Their agency is fulfilling a great need for families who wish to adopt a special needs child. I've worked in the adoption field for several years and don't know many agencies that specifically grant money to families wishing to improve the lives of a special needs child.

Brittany's Hope is a fantastic organization. They serve children in multiple ways in multiple places to help all different kinds of needs. They are amazingly efficient with funding and make a true difference in children's lives.

How could anyone hold back tears while watching the Brittany's Hope Walk of Love ?!! The walk resembles a miniature Olympics procession - laughter of children and adults waving flags of the nations from which the children had come !!!

The Brittany's Hope Fooundation strives to give special needs children from around the world the loving families and secure homes they deserve.

It was a joy for me to serve on the board and help select the children to receive grants to aid in their adoption. Only when I looked at pictures and resumes of more children than we had funds did I feel the grip of sadness. Even with the endless hours fundraisers, contacts, and planning sessions monetary resources were limited.

I congratulate all those who never considered our mission a "problem" but rather a "CHALLENGE" to find health and happiness for precious children !

I have volunteered for Brittany's Hope a couple of times and it is very fun and rewarding seeing the kids with their families; especially during the annual Walk of Love!

Brittany's hope is definitely on the top of my list for most relevant and needed non-profit organizations in this country. What makes this organization absolutely amazing, is not only their mission, but the people who have helped develop it's mission- in memory of those who were unable to carry it through on their own. Every person working for brittany's hope exudes enourmous amounts of trust, honesty, integrety, love, generosity, and tolerance, which is also carried out in daily life.

This May I will be participating in my second Service Learning Trip to Vietnam through the sponsorship of Brittany's Hope Foundation. The first trip was amazing and because of the organization and contacts that Brittany's Hope Foundation has in Vietnam, the group was able to perform a tremendous amount of service in the country. We built cribs, planted a garden and trees, and most importantly, interacted with many children. I was amazed at how well-organized the trip was, every detail was planned and all our time was used efficiently.

For a short period of time I attended meetings with Brittany's Hope Foundation regarding their annual Walk of Love campaign. The people who work for the foundation are fantastic, friendly people. They all are genuinely interested in promoting awareness of and raising money for the special needs children around the world.

I have been a volunteer with Brittany's Hope for several years and am continually amazed with the ability of this organization to touch the lives of special needs children and orphans in meaningful ways. I have met some of the children who have been brought home with the assistance provided through Brittany's Hope and I have talked with other volunteers who have participated in volunteer trips to projects in Vietnam and Ethiopia. Their stories are moving. Brittany's Hope has a wonderful, dedicated staff and does a great job of seeing that your donations are spent with purpose and impact.

When we saw Yeong-min (now Mattew Paul) on on Holt International Children's Services' waiting child photo listing, he had already been considered for adoption by 14 families who had decided not to proceed.

Although we very much wanted to adopt him, we were lacking the money to pay for the program fees. While we prayed for the next few days, the board members at Brittany's Hope decided to offer a grant of $5,000 to any family who would adopt Yeong-min. What an answer to prayer!

Because of Brittany's Hope, we now have a very healthy and happy 2 yr. old son named Matthew!

As a member of the general public, I have had numerous encounters with Brittany's Hope Foundation (BHF) and their outreach programs in Viet Nam.

The first time I encountered BHF was in November 1995, when their Executive Director, Candace Abel, traveled back to Viet Nam in order to personally experience the Vietnamese culture and understand the orphanage and adoption processes. I was only 6 at the time, but I remembered clearly how their presence at my orphanage brought so much excitement and happiness to the orphan and special needs children. As an orphan child now living in the United States, I can truly testify to the wonderful work that they provide in third world countries.

Another momentous encounter was rather recently during my own personal travel to my mother land after 14 years. In search of my own past and history, I discovered that BHF was also in Viet Nam on another excursion to Cam Ranh and other cities throughout Viet Nam in order to volunteer to spend time with the orphan children and help build orphanages, and brings gifts of not only time, but talents and also treasure to the needy. I was not a volunteer myself, but I remembered spending time with the volunteers and remembered clearly their devotion to BHF to assist in the process in order to make life a little easier for these children who endures a squalid existence in a government-run orphanage as I once was. Further more, that year in Viet Nam, I had the opportunity to also volunteer my time with BHF when they returned for the second time, this time not only to Central Viet Nam and Southern Viet Nam, but in Ha Noi, Viet Nam's capital.

In all my years as a pursuer of successful non-profit programs, I have never seen so much devotion as I have experienced with BHF. Though their base is in small Elizabethtown, their humanitarian projects are successfully executed in third world countries all the way across the world. I have personally experienced the difficulty in conducting a conference call at 12 pm or 1 am US time in order to accommodate for the time zone difference on the other side of the world. I can go on for days about how much I personally appreciate BHF even though I am not an affiliate, but I believe that an outsider's eyes, the general public's opinion gives new insights to a foundation that may or may not already exist.

I lead a student volunteer trip to Vietnam every other May. This May we are taking a group of 32 individuals who will spend time working in 6 different orphanages.

As a new board member, I am completely amazed at the outreach and services offered by Brittany's Hope Foundation. The staff, volunteers and families are working tirelessly to provide children in need the hope and future that they deserve. I feel honored to be involved with this Foundation.

Talking with Candice on the phone felt as though I was speaking with an old friend with the same passions for Jesus and His orphaned children that I have.

I sponsor a child from the House of Love in Vietnam. I found her on the Brittany's Hope website and was captivated by her big sad eyes. I love that 100% of my donation goes directly to her care & support with no administrative fees. I love that I can purchase some personal things for her: clothes & barbie dolls and the foundation will forward them to her. They send me pictures & cards. That makes the sponsorship personal. I'm kept aware of all the happenings at the House of Love through email & mail. I'm considering sponsoring more children. I love what the Foundation stands for.

We've partnered with them for over 5 years. Through their assistance, children that were waiting years for a family were matched and permanently placed. We have been involved with Brittanys Hope for about 8 years now. We most recently sponsored a child in Vietnam. This set up allows for 100% of our donations to go directly to her, her care and education. Not many charities can make that claim and make it happen. Brittanys Hope makes it easy to help and make an impact quickly. My children really love getting the updates and photos of our sponsored child. Brittany's Hope was KEY in our family bringing home our precious miracle, Ezekiel, a 2 year old child from The Philippines who has Down Syndrome and congenital heart disease. Without the grant from Brittany's Hope, Ezekiel's adoption would not have been possible. We are so grateful that an organization like this exists. We can not imagine our lives without Ezekiel. I am both a board member and a recipient parent. I have had and continue to have positive experiences with Brittany's Hope. Without this foundation our family would not include our daughter. The support of this foundatin allowed us to adopt a beautiful 3 year old who has blossomed into an active, bright, loving 8 year old. Brittany's Hope Foundation has touched so many special needs children and their families. One such child is Angelina (soon to be a ballerina) who was born in China with such weak lttle legs they could barely support her body. This didn't keep Angelina from beanding down and carrying for the children younger than herself. Daily she has waited to get news of a forever family. Because of Brittany's Hope amazing "play it forward" grants Angelina WILL get a chance to have a family and dance.

When we began the adoption process, we did not set out to adopt a special needs child. Some time after starting the paperwork, we decided to just look at the photolistings from our agency. Our son's photo was the first one we saw. I wish I could say it was love at first sight, but it wasn't. The medical issues listed for him were intimidating. Months after we first saw his photo, we decided to request his file. We determined that we could handle his medical needs, but were concerned about the expense involved in the adoption and then in caring for our new son. It was an answer to prayer that the next day that he was awarded an adoption grant. This grant enabled us to bring our son home with our financial worries eliminated. That's how we came to know Brittany's Hope. Since our son was a grant recipient, we have come to know more about the organization and the many services they provide to the neediest among us. This organization has truly blessed us.

Our experience with the Brittany's Hope Foundation has been wonderful! Without their help we would not have been able to fund the adoption of our daughter from China. Their staff is friendly, helpful and always prompt in returning requested information. They encourage you to make contact frequently. We liked how grants are no longer case specific to certain children. We feel this opens up opportunity for more families to adopt. Our family has been blessed with the opportunity to having worked with Brittany's Hope and maybe in the future we will be able to adopt again!

As an adoptee and local resident of the Elizabethtown area, I was thrilled to learn of an organization that is a reputable, international granting foundation for children all over the world. The foundation enables families from across the country to adopt children with special needs. It is also a wonderful philanthropic organization providing stability to many children in diverse countries. We are fortunate to have them in Central Pennsylvania.

In June, 2010, we arrived home from Russia with our beautiful daughter. When we first started the adoption process, we heard about our daughter through Brittany's Hope. Because of her age and medical needs, they had offered a very generous grant to help with expenses. Once we saw her picture, we couldn't get her out of our minds. This little girl was for us.

In October of 2010 we began the process to adopt our son from Uganda. As I am sure most everyone knows...adoption is expensive. Brittany's Hope offered us a grant to ease the cost of adopting our son from Uganda. They were so easy to work with and so encouraging! We are so thankful for this organization and their commitment to see children brought home to families! They were a blessing to our family!

In November 2009, we adopted our son from South Korea. Matthew was considered a waiting child. While it seems that all children who have yet to be adopted are “waiting”, what this really means is that he had been eligible for adoption for a long time (in his case, he had been waiting for about 2 years). However because of a special need, a family had not yet come forward to adopt him.

We were constantly amazed by the generosity of others during our adoption process. One of the miracles we experienced was a large grant we received from Brittany’s Hope that helped cover some of our adoption expenses. Brittany’s Hope knew about Matthew long before we had ever laid eyes on him. They identified Matthew as a child who had waited way too long to find his family. In South Korea, when a child reaches a certain age without being adopted, they are at risk of being permanently placed in an orphanage. Knowing how long his wait had already been and that he couldn’t afford to wait much longer, Brittany’s Hope placed a $5000 grant on Matthew to help alleviate the costs of bringing him home. While this grant was not the reason we chose to adopt Matthew, it was an amazing blessing, and it gave us such peace of mind as we worked through the process.

Brittany’s Hope works miracles like this every day for children who wait all over the world.

Brittany's Hope Foundation helps orphans in a variety of ways. We were blessed by Brittany's Hope Foundation because they gave us a matching grant so we could adopt five sisters. We could not have done it without their financial assistance. Our five girls were able to stay together because of their grant. They really work to help find older and special needs children forever families. All children deserve this chance that Brittany's Hope Foundation helps to make possible. We are forever thankful for their support.

Brittany’s Hope Foundation has been such a blessing to our family. I real believe that without them our son would still be in an orphanage in China. They had put a grant on our son as he was a little older (3) and was missing his arm. We saw him and fell in love with him, but did not have all the funds to bring him home. Then Brittany's Hope put a grant with the family that would choose him as their son. That sealed the deal for us. We knew we could do it and Brittany's Hope gave us the help and encouragement to go forward. Our son Ezekiel is now home and doing very well. He loves his family and we are so grateful for Brittanys Hope!!! They changed a life forever!

BHF is a wonderful organization that gave generously to my son's adoption agency so he could be adopted by our family. They truly care about all the adoptable children with significant special needs joining a family of their own. Because of their efforts many disabled, and medical needs children now have families when they once did not.

Brittany's Hope placed a grant on our son in 2009. We were impressed with BHF because the grant was child-based not based on our church attendance or performance, our income, or anything involving us. The grant helped us pay our son's expenses off within 6 mos of his arrival (Dec 09), and as a result we were able to proceed with a second adoption of a 6 year old girl in China. We would still be paying on our son's adoption and not able to afford a second if it weren't for BHF. This is how granting programs should work. The grants should be based on the CHILD not the family. BHF is truly a blessing and we remain ever grateful.

Brittany's Hope has awarded grants to our two adoptive children due to special needs. Thanks to their support, our children were able to be placed in homes. They were supportive and helpful throughout our process, even through an interrupted adoption and the loss of a child. They do a great job of keeping us informed on what they are doing through the world to serve children.

Brittany's Hope does so many wonderful things for abandoned children around the world. I was lucky enough to assist them with their Sunflower Children project which provided essentials for orphans who aged out of the system and were being set out on their own. We were able to provide over 400 children with clothing, hygiene products, first aid kits, blankets and other important items for their survival. I was very touched by this project and the numerous other projects that they pioneer for the benefit of orphans everywhere!
