Volunteering for Bright Promises was an awesome experience over all. I had the privilege to photograph heroes as they shared their stories of hard work they have accomplished. Smiles lightened up the room as I approached board of directors, committee member, supporters, and staff to take their picture. I thank Bright promises Foundation for their achievements and welcoming my skill for the night.
I'm proud to be a supporter of Bright Promises for four reasons. First and foremost, BPF believes that all kids are our kids, and works to ensure that all our kids are supported to reach their potential. Second, BPF partners with grantees working in communities to make positive change that lasts, build capacity, and connect them to create knowledge and magnify the effect of its financial support. Third, BPF "skates to where the puck is going to be" by identifying (with the help of experts) important unmet needs; they were ahead of the national conversation on fighting childhood obesity and assessing the effects of trauma. Fourth, BPF is thoughtful and rigorous about evaluating the effectiveness of its programs and making changes based on what the data reveals. I'm confident that my money and my time are spent wisely and well to help kids.
I volunteered with Bright Promises for their Annual Awards on September 12, 2017. The program was well-organized and managed; over 250 guests attended, and the community raised tens of thousands of dollars for children in Chicago.
Great foundation to volunteer for. I really feel like I am help making a difference in the city of Chicago and I am constantly meeting people who inspire me to do even more.
This organization is such a great resource and a quiet, but totally dedicated force for good defending and supporting Chicago kids. Glad to know about them.

I have supported Bright Promises Foundation since 2016 and continue to be impressed with the organization's innovative programming and commitment to creating lasting change. Many children in Illinois face a number of barriers and a lack of access to critical opportunities and resources. Bright Promises Foundation efficiently and effectively works to improve the lives of children and support their families.
I have been involved with BPF since 2008. It truly is a unique foundation in the way it strategically aims to change the outcomes for children and youth who often have barriers to living happy, successful lives, especially taking notice of challenges that are largely unrecognized. BPF works to change the perception of these challenges and bring them to light so that others recognize these hurdles. BPF encourages innovative responses to these issues and through its focused funding and other programs, supports nonprofit organizations to implement these groundbreaking strategies. BPF uses an external evaluator to document data across its grantees and finds ways to share what works and what doesn't with others. BPF also encourages its grantees to determine strategies for sharing their programs with other child-serving agencies.
Bright promises is an outstanding example of a non-profit staying true to a simple mission - to help Illinois' children thrive. Through their variety of programming, support for other organizations and focus on helping great ideas grow, they are making a clear, consistently positive mark on the child-serving institutions space.

Amazing Foundation that has developed, expanded and improved programs helping children at risk. As a result of there various programs, a community-based network and infrastructure exists that continues to support organizations working in new and innovative ways to help vulnerable children.
I've had the pleasure of following and supporting the mission of Bright Promises and I can't express enough how truly admirable this organization's goals are. They've accomplished so much in the short span of time they've existed by employing selfless, creative, and expert members of their community. The partners benefitted from this organization's acts and initiatives is ever growing and only seeks to serve and support the children and adults of Chicago. Their unwavering dedication to seek out and support at-risk children should be recognized as they have fostered a community network that only strengthens and grows with each organization they encounter.

I am continually impressed with the method that Bright Promises uses to recognize current needs in our community and identify organizations that are equipped to address those needs. It is truly a unique approach and has been extremely successful for this organization and its recipients. This organization has pushed the conventional charitable giving approach unlike any other that I know of-striving towards a targeted, more successful, higher impact method.

I have been involved with Bright Promises for a little more than 6 months and I am so impressed with this organization. Bright Promises has a long history of service to children and yet they are still responsive to the needs of today's children. I appreciate this organization's reliance on experts and feedback from parents, teachers, and service-providers who are on the frontlines for our kids. Bright Promises is truly moving the needle on the most emergent needs of children today.
