I have been a part of Brigade Air's partnership with Skyview Ranch (Millersburg, OH) for over 8 years and I can't say enough wonderful things about their program and pilots. They are truly dedicated to teaching young people the value of pilot ministry and how it aids people all around the world. The pilots care deeply about what they do for the Lord and for others.
We partner with Brigade Air for a week of summer at our camp in Ohio and I can't say enough about their pilots and the program. They are dedicated to teaching young people about missions and how life as a pilot can serve our Lord in unique and needed ways. The pilots truly have a passion for what they do. Our campers always love their week with Brigade Air!
As a volunteer for Brigade Air, I am able to partner with this unique ministry that gets kids to step away from their cell phones/computers/video games and puts them in the exciting and challenging environment of missionary aviation and gives them an opportunity to actually fly a plane and realize the potential that God has for their lives! I wish Brigade Air existed when I was a teenager!! Highly recommend!!
I am a veteran teacher for 26 years, and I have volunteered at Brigade Air camps for seven summers. I financially support this ministry, because I have personally witnessed many campers discover that they can serve God on the mission field, and pursue something they are actually passionate about! Brigade Air camp provides an opportunity for young people to apply science and math concepts they have learned in school to practical applications in aviation. Campers are challenged to read God's Word daily and listen to how God is leading in their lives, which is counter-cultural to our materialistic focused nation. True stories of various missionary pilots are shared with campers, which leads to discussion. Volunteers are dedicated Christian pilots who want to mentor young people that are interested in missions aviation. I strongly support and recommend this camp to parents. If you are interested in donating to a ministry that can impact youth for Christ, donate to Brigade Air.
I have been a volunteer pilot for Brigade Air since 2009. The reason that I continue is the positive affect that the Brigade Air experience has on campers. During the week, the campers experience how the airplane can be used for the spreading of the Gospel, delivering needed people and resources, and providing other humanitarian aid in a short amount of time. The campers also learn the importance of serving others, thinking of others as more important than themselves, doing what they do with excellence, and exhibiting integrity.
Brigade Air is the real deal. We've hosted 2 camps at our church, and they've both been fun, informative, gospel centered and mission minded. I cannot think of a better way to get young people excited about mission aviation or even missions in general. Highly recommended.
I have served for many years as a pilot volunteer and also a camp coordinator and I commend Brigade Air for for their excellent focus on safety and delivering a consistent product to the church and missions community. Their former campers have gone on for training at Moody Aviation, LeTourneau University, and Liberty University, and are now serving overseas. I'm glad to be a part of it.
Bruce is an excellent pilot, a fiercely loyal friend, and a devout Christian. He takes his role
as a pilot and flight instructor very seriously. Students receive very meticulous instruction involving the operation and flying of the plane, as well as care and mechanical maintenance of the aircraft. I would highly recommend this very unique program to any young person who has an interest in one day getting involved in ministry where air travel to remote areas is a necessity.
I give monthly to Brigade Air. I am grateful for the wonderful work they do to educate young people about the role that missionary aviation plays in meeting the physical and spiritual needs of people throughout the world. Their camps are Christ centered and promote a deeper love for God and commitment to faith and service. I have known the founder Bruce Wolff for many years and admire his dedication and sacrifice in serving Christ. I am amazed at how much Brigade Air accomplishes by stretching every dollar donated and through careful stewardship of funds.
Brigade Air provided a truly high quality ecperience for me and my fellow high school campers. They show opportunities for missionary trips, how to achieve a pilots license, and even taught me many of the fundamentals of piloting. They guide you through there lessons always making sure you are understanding and felt confident in your understanding. We also took several field trips to places like aviation part distributors and repair shops for air planes. In addition to flight and ground schools that have me valuable knowledge, when I asked one of the Brigade teachers about opportunities to pursue a private license, I was given a genuine and realistic answer about possibilities in the Civil Air Patrol Cadet program. This really gave me a head start on planning how to possibly pursue a license, and have a future with flying in it. They always implement how your skills can be applied to serve the Lord our God and flying is a great skill to use to serve.
I've known the Founder for years. The vision of this ministry to open young peoples eyes to missionary aviation is critical for the future of missions to the 3rd world.
This was the second year our son, David, attended Brigade Air camp. He had a wonderful time (again!) learning about planes, flying, and missionary flight. David said, "the pilots and staff were great, and we had a lot of fun!"
Bruce's passion for missions and helping the kids "find out the purpose God made them for" is so strong and amazing to see.
Thank you so much, Bruce, for all you did for David this year!!
I love to fly even though I am only 17 years old I have learned a lot from flight simulator and other games but it is nothing like flying for real. I had the opportunity to attended Brigade Air in Mapleton Maine (through Baptist Park) this summer. Even though I already attended the same camp a couple of years ago I really enjoyed the experience. They teach you a lot about aircraft and a lot about not just flying the plane but how to navigate, read aviation maps, and how to communicate on the radio plus a lot of actual flying. We were lucky and we had a chance to fly a lot. It was a fast week. The staff was very friendly and I learned a lot from them and their experience. They tell a lot about missions and how pilots are needed to help spread God’s Word. I hope that someday I will get the chance to perform this important mission. I would highly recommend Brigade Air for anyone who ever thought about flying. Even if you don’t know anything about planes or flying it okay. They teach you all you need to know. I am hoping that I will have the opportunity to attend again. It never gets old. Again if you or your child has any interest in planes this is a great opportunity. Thanks Brigade Air and “God Bless”
Bruce Wolff, the Director of Brigade Air, is very dedicated to this ministry of introducing young people to the possibility of their becoming part of the fulfillment of the Great Commission through mission aviation!
Our camp has worked with Bridgade Air for six years and we have loved our partnership with them. It's obvious the love the pilots have for teaching youth and spreading the Gospel through their passion of flying.

Great group of kids! I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 days! Thanks so much for letting me be a part of it... I would love to be invited back ....Thanks Doug for all the work you did to make it all happen!....Also tell my fellow TU alum Dee that I said hello..
Dear Doug, (Noah VanderWall)
Thank you so much for keeping us posted on camp activities and for all of the wonderful pictures during camp. Noah came home in awe of everything he learned while at camp. He thoroughly enjoyed all of the missionary speakers and was inspired by their stories. He has retold many of their stories to family and friends. Thank you for making this opportunity available for Noah and other kids his age. Noah truly loves to fly and I am sure that his time spent at camp will shape his career, his future and his love for the Lord.
Hi, Doug, (Sunny Kim)
This morning we met her at Heathrow airport and now at home, Oxford. She is very exited and a bit confident about what she has done during the camp and travelling alone. Certainly she may be missing those days with you and team at JAARS.
She may return to US again sometime in the future God's willing.
Once again, I really appreciate all your love and commitment for her. May God bless you all.
In His grace,
Good Morning Doug, (Jed Pinkston)
I do not have words to express how the additional scholarship contribution makes me feel! Thank you for sharing and passing along her name and address. Thank you for reaching out on out behalf.
Hoping that today will be a wonderful blessing to all of you as this camp comes to a close. I am so excited Jed was able to be a part of this. The financial gifts have turned something budget crippling into more of a Godly Blessing then ever expected.
I can not contain my excitement to see Jed and am looking forward to driving him nuts talking all the way home.
You may not see much of me this evening, Jed is probably expecting this, I guess...
There is an element of panic when I meet new people and am in a crowd. I am very self-conscious of my heavy physical appearance and worn out attire. It's been a very trying time for me the past several years and I spent most of it in severe depression and despair which has taken its toll and it shows.
Not whining...just wanting to soften the blow that comes with my "absenteeism". I try to be available for Jed but sometimes I think its is best if his peers do not see his Mom.
I do love the photographs that were emailed. What a great idea.
Much Heartfelt Love and Gratitude,

Thank you so much! What a blessing it was for Angus to have gotten this opportunity! It was priceless and such a lifechanger in so many ways. Bless you all for your commitment and obedience, but most of all, your passion for seeing these young men and women on fire for Christ and encouraging a lifelong relationship with our Father God.

I just want to say thank you again for all you do, and specifically for all you did for my boys during the recent camp. Both Alex and Max have been talking non-stop since I picked them up and are so excited about the experience they had and all that they learned about. They both said that everyone was so wonderful and they just enjoyed it so much.
I'm sorry that we were not able to stay for the JAARS Day on Saturday, but we will do our best to come on the October 10th date. There are a couple of conflicts in the schedule, but I'm thinking that we will probably be opting for the JAARS Day over the other two things on their schedule for that day. As we get closer, I will let you know so that we can try to arrange for overnight accommodations to come on Friday.
Thank you again, Doug. Words cannot adequately express our genuine gratitude.
Dear Mr. Demoing:
We miss you, too! Thanks for all your hard work and love and prayers for these guys.
Chris enjoyed camp very much! Loves flying and wants to complete some training in aviation mechanics in addition to his college aviation ground school courses.
Unfortunately, he left his bag of dirty laundry at the aviation building at JAARS. Do you by chance have it or know where it is??

My 15 year old son has showed true enthusiasm about very few things. I sent him to Brigade Air's summer program at Sacandaga Bible Conference hopeful that he would enjoy flying - it seemed like a good fit with his personality. He loved it and is planning to pursue a career in aviation! Thank you, Brigade Air, for your commitment to Christ, aviation, and mentoring our children.
My son David found the camp very educative and really mission oriented. The ratio of teachers (pilot) was very good and enable them to fly everyday. The information he said surpassed what he knew he would learn as 14 year old. The teachers were extremely nice and kind. As we are living at the end of time and gospel needs to go everywhere, we really need more mission pilots to do missions that no other transportation can do that efficiently. God has used you indeed. He said also was good opportunity to challenge children to share their faith. I can not say enough what he said. Infact now he has gone to academy which has aviation school. And over there they have one pilot only! They are looking for more volunteers, many kids are on waiting list, but one pilot can not do everything. God bless you indee Brigade Air, how beautiful are your feet (wings) that carry good NEWS! For that good news in the only most important thing, for we plan to live forever! when we have been there ten thousand years......................! Please if you are thinking of any mission to support it is this one! for you are investing where moth, and rust wont get. Earth life is for a little while eternity is forever, especially when you see economy go down, Wings on Mission is where to put your money, for one day money will lose all its value but, souls/people saved and served will remind you of Dan 12:4 "You will shine bright as a firmament" with your crown. They will say "Thankyou" I am so glad you did sacrifice for Airplanes for mission
My son attended the Brigade Air camp. He received flight instruction from top instructors, and logged flight hours as well. The students from around the globe stayed in nice apartment style housing with other students, and received delicious home cooked meals. My son said our money was well spent and that he would even benefit from attending again. The instructors are very professional and have excellent character. We were happy to have him be there, and consider this event VERY worthwhile.
My son loved this program. The pilots were friendly and encouraging. He was up in the air right away and is considering getting his pilots license now. He made good friends and found the teaching and learning materials really helpful.
Two of my four sons recently attended a mission aviation camp at JAARS in Waxhaw, NC. This camp experience far exceeded our expectations on all levels and I can't say enough about how blessed my boys are to have had this experience and opportunity.
The camp was a rigorous week of ground school and in-air training that imparted a great deal of aviation knowledge in a compressed period of time. On top of that, there were regular speakers throughout the week who shared some of their experiences and knowledge directly and indirectly relating to the topics at hand. While the days were long and busy, my teen-aged sons could not stop talking about how engaging the speakers were, even on topics that they initially thought might be hard to follow. The boys both said that even though some of the talks were 2 hours long, everyone wanted them to keep going and not stop. They just couldn't get enough.
In addition to aviation specific learning, the boys came back with a new knowledge about meaningful mission work that can genuinely save souls from darkness and what it takes to do such work. As Catholics, we routinely read stories of the lives of saints as inspiration on our own paths of spiritual growth. The stories that the boys heard in camp, first hand in many cases, were very much in-line with what the saints and martyrs of old did and in some of the very same conditions. That additional personal connection with such selfless service is and has been an invaluable byproduct of these talks and testimonials.
The camp is/was organized by a most competent and endearing man by the name of Doug Deming. My boys repeatedly stated that he does not get enough thanks for what he does. He's such a loving person that I think all of the campers left considering him their very own Uncle Doug. That man is a real treasure and the entire staff at JAARS appears to be cut from the same cloth. I would recommend this group and their camp wholeheartedly. Words fail to adequately express the gratitude we have for the JAARS team and especially Doug, for all that they do and for what they have done for my sons.
With all sincerity, and in Christ,
I liked everything about this camp. The instructors were excellent and knowledgeable. They taught me a lot and were fun to be around. I also enjoyed the place where we stayed; they had good food and I liked the rooms. We took an excellent trip to an airport and an aviation museum. We were able to go in the control tower, which was even more fun than I expected. I loved the airport that we flew from; it was so cool to see the planes takeoff and land. The highlight of the camp, for me, was the flying time. Being in control of the airplane and being able to see for miles is an awesome experience. Brigade Air camp is the best camp I’ve been to. If I could, I would rate the whole thing 500,000 stars.
I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer with Brigade Air for the first time this summer. The entire Brigade Air camp experience was fantastic! This is a great opportunity for any young person interested in aviation to take to the air for a great week of fun and adventure, while learning about opportunities use aviation as a tool for service. The camp not only introduced youth to the joy of flying, but also challenged them to consider ways that they could use their talents to serve God and serve others. I've been flying for nearly twenty years and have never come across anything comparible to this camp. I can't wait to volunteer again next year!
I've had the opportunity to work with Brigade Air as a volunteer for a few years now. For any young person interested in missions and/or aviation this is an experience they don't want to miss. From the opportunity to fly each day of camp to the zip-line at our particular camp to the night sessions sharing testimonies and enjoying a campfire, it was an incredible week! Brigade Air has a top-notch curriculum and superb record of safety. It's a great time to share my love for The Lord and passion for aviation with other people. It brings great joy to see God work in the lives of the campers as they consider who Christ is and what He may be calling them to do in life.
My son attended his first camp this year in Idaho and absolutely LOVED it! He talked about it for weeks and sent pictures to everyone when he returned. He learned so much and really enjoyed the instructors. He made new friends and liked the entire group at the camp. He loved all of the activities, not just the flying! We as parents are thankful for the Christian atmosphere, the wonderful staff, the individualized instruction, and the opportunity he had at age 14 to fly and gain experience toward his pilot's license at a very reasonable cost. Thank you!
Brigade Air has to be the most unique experience I've ever had over the summer. I never knew there was such thing as a camp where you could go flying almost every day and learn so much about it at the same time! The staff were absolutely great and this camp is a good way to make connections if you are interested in aviation. I recommend you enroll in this amazing camp if you enjoy aviation and are interested in it.
I am so very grateful to the operators and staff of Brigade Air for providing an opportunity to my son to experience various aspects of aviation and providing a nurturing, healthy environment in which to learn. My son had only good things to say about the time he spent at camp. He truly appreciated his time with the Air Brigade team!
My 15 year old son thoroughly enjoyed the junior training he received across all aspects of aviation through Brigade Air. He had such an enjoyable experience that he can't wait to do it again next summer.
I've been flying for enough years to know that in aviation, whether you're operating a beautiful "Classic" 1961 Cessna, or a 767 in commercial operations it has to be done right.
Maintainence oversight, attention to detail, with use of checklists and procedures is a template in the flight segment of Brigade. Bruce runs a professional operation, yet in a fun, enjoyable experience for those in the camps. That's the way flying should be. Brigade Air provides young adults an introduction into aviation, with the correct balance of Biblical teaching and the disciplines in that regard.
The instructors who provide the introductory flights, in addition to Bruce himself, are all professionals who exemplify what Brigade Air should be.
What a great opportunity for young individuals to enjoy a flight camp, get some hours in the air and in a well rounded environment.
I enjoyed being a camper with Brigade Air this year because
1. It was my first time being a camper
2. It was only my 2nd time being in a plane
3. It was very, very fun to fly planes
My favorite plane to fly was the CUB Legend because it is so light and easy to handle.
The overall experience was a good learning time mixed with fun, games and getting to know new friends better.
I attended this camp and it was fantastic. I learned so much about flying through ground school and assisted piloting. Our teachers were extremely knowledgable and skilled. Highly recommended!
Our son attended camp in Idaho this summer and LOVED it! It FAR exceeded our (and his) expectations. What a great opportunity and a great organization. The staff at the camp was fantastic. His flight instructor, Tim, went over and above. The campers (both boys and girls) really bonded and all said they wanted to return next year. We highly recommend BrigadeAir.
I thoroughly enjoyed Brigade Air's camp this past summer when I did it. It was a great introductory week into aviation and especially Mission aviation. When I got there, I was a little bit anxious, but once we had started flying, it was nothing but fun and educational. This is definitely a camp I would recommend to anyone who is interested in aviation.
Brigade Air has been a blessing for my household. My son, Jeff, attended the week-long camp in Waxhaw, NC Summer 2014 and is more inspired than ever to learn more about aviation and to serve the Lord. Overall the experience was wonderful from the course material, night and day flights, fixed wing and rotary wing flights, maintenance and electrical exposure, and most important, the caring, Christian mentorship and leadership. My wife and I will be forever grateful for the tremendous job you have done in support of my son. Many Blessings to you and your organization. v/r Jeff, Sr.
This summer, we had two sons that attended Brigade Air Camp at Solberg Airport in Readington, NJ. Aviation has always been an interest for them. They could learn about flying from any number of venues. However, what stands out first and foremost about Brigade Air is that young men can combine their love for flying with a higher calling. Bruce Wolfe and his team provided professionalism, competency, and proficiency in teaching aviation, but more so, he inspired the young men to serve the Lord with their love for flying. Bruce, sacrificially gave of himself in order to ignite a passion in them for missionary aviation by sharing stories and testimonies of former missionary pilots. It was physically, mentally, and spiritually challenging and benefitting for our sons. We could not have had a better experience and we highly recommend this camp to challenge and train young men for a greater calling and purpose.
Jack and Jody Disanza
My time with Brigade Air was truly spectacular. It was a tremendous help to me in learning the beginning of flight training, and how to use those skills for God.
I would highly recommend Brigade Air to anyone, whether they are interested in flying or not. The experience is worth it, and you could find a passion for flying that you never knew you had.
My son attended Aviation Camp at Skyview Ranch in Ohio. He came back energized for aviation. Missions gives an impressionable youth an outlet, focus or purpose for their faith. Interests born here can last a lifetime and may motivate him to remain in the faith against worldly pressures and temptation. Thanks Brigade!
I met Brigade Air this year and I got to learn more about it through Bruce and Joan Wolff. They came over to Romania to participate to the aviation camp organized by Angel Wings Foundation. I was delighted by Brigade Air’s commitment and openness in helping other organizations, even from Europe, to develop and promote similar concepts. I was highly impressed by the competency, passion and the care for details of Bruce and Joan Wolf and thus Brigade Air. For Angel Wings it was a step up and we got the chance to improve our perspective on how to promote the values that we strongly believe in. We’re hoping that our partnership develops in a nice way and that together we will develop an American-European ministry together. Brigade Air brought an uplifting spirit for Angel Wings! May God bless Brigade Air & Angel Wings.
Edmond Nicola, Angel Wings President & Founder
I came across Brigade Air a while ago when the organization that I volunteer for, Angel Wings Foundation, was organizing the July 2013 aviation camp. Bruce Wolff was so kind that he accepted to come over to Romania and get involved in our project. We have enjoyed working with him, as we saw a high level of competency, professionalism and passion in how he got things done. Brigade Air is a great organization, promotes a great concept and we have so much to learn from it. Hopefully we will have a long lasting partnership and will win many souls together for God’s Kingdom! Thank you for having such a strong impact in our world!
Baptist Park in Mapleton, ME has hosted a Brigade Air camp for 5 consecutive years, and I have been Co-director for each of these camps. We are thrilled to introduce teens to Christ and the possibility of serving Him as a missionary pilot. It is exciting to see a camper go from no awareness of missionary aviation to being open to serve the Lord as a missionary pilot if He so calls. We have one previous camper preparing to be a missionary pilot. Some who expressed interest in being a missionary pilot completed high school in 2012 or will in 2013. We are praying that God will raise them up to serve Him as missionary pilots. And none of this would be possible without the resources provided by Brigade Air. The framework and resources Brigade Air provides covers all the bases. We are thankful to be able to partner with Brigade Air.
JAARS has hosted Brigade Air camps for about 7 years. Each year it gets better, and the basic curriculum for the camp and the logistical support Brigade Air provides are an excellent framework for making an event like this happen. At the most recent camp JAARS hosted, one instructor remarked that he considered this “the best camp we’ve ever had,” that it was “a great crew of kids who were listening, thinking, and asking questions that went to the next level.” We hope the young people left at the
end of the week with a greater vision for their future as they were exposed to various aspects of aviation and to the challenges and multifaceted life of a missionary.
I have been involved with Brigade Air for many years and have worked at several BA camps. It is awesome to see the Holy Spirit work in the lives of teens by introducing them to mission aviation. This is a ministry like no other in that it's sole purpose is to introduce kids to mission aviation and their possible role in the future. We get to work with wonderful kids, skilled pilots and dedicated staff who love Jesus and want to share him with others. BTW we also get to fly with these kids.
MAF has partnered with Brigade Air for about 7 years. There have been many lives of teens impacted by this ministry. Young men and women have a unique opportunitiy to be introduced to aviation and missions and to see how they can connect the two. I have been involved personally with Brigade Air for the last three years and have been impressed with their level of support and the supplies they provide.
As a volunteer pilot for Brigade Air the past three summers, I have experienced the camper's excitement as they explore learning to fly airplanes and begin to understand how God uses missionary pilots. A Brigade Air Camp, however, is not just about aviation. Aviation is not even the top priority. What is first and formost is that the campers seek the Lord's leading in their lives and discover if being a missionary pilot is what the Lord would have them to do. Sometimes the success of the camp for a camper is that missionary aviation is their calling; other times, the success is that missionary aviation is not what the Lord is calling them to do. In both cases, we rejoice, encourage, and guide the campers. Last summer, at one of my camps, we had two unexpected, but supreme, succeses. Two Brigade Air campers who came to fly airplanes received Jesus as Lord and Savior. Brigade Air also has strong leadership. During my first year as a volunteer, I worked with the director and two of Brigade Air's directors. Their life demonstrated that they knew that Brigade Air was a ministry and that they had a Godly love for the campers. This ministry definitely has a positive impact on the lives of young people.
Brigade Air has been a terrific part of our Summer Camp program for a long time. Every year we get a great pilot who understands our guys and leads them well. Brigade Air is a fantastic ministry with an important mission. Sam Richbart, Camp Hickory Hill Director
Lives are being challenged and CHANGED as God uses the ministry of Brigade Air! It is exciting to witness previous Brigade Air campers enrolled in college for FULL TIME AVIATION MISSIONS!
I've volunteered at a Brigade Air camp for three consecutive years. It's exciting to see a camper's interest in missionary aviation grow. A first time camper expressed no interest in missionary aviation last year. This year that same camper listed a high interest in missionary aviation on her registration. We at Baptist Park's Flight Camp are eagerly awaiting the day when one or more of our campers choose to serve the Lord as missionary pilots. We are thankful to the Lord for our partnership with Brigade Air and all they do to make it possible.
During the early years of Brigade Air, we wondered if we were trying to "water the ocean" or if we were planting needed seed in fertile soil. Immediate results were not visible in terms of our underlying purpose of getting teens to consider mission aviation as an avenue of Christian service and to pursue it as a career choice. It has been gratifying to see some of them, now twenty-somethings, completing their technical and biblical training and moving overseas to serve Christ as pilots and mechanics. It has been worth the time, effort, and dollars to see this happen, and to be part of the team.
I spent a week learning the basics of flight and getting some hands on flight time. It was my first experience flying, and one that I will never forget. It was amazing to fly over northern Maine and see God's incredible creation. I would encourage anyone to participate in a flight camp with Brigade Air.
I've been involved in Brigade Air for one year as a volunteer pilot. I'm extremely impressed with the coordination involved in developing the five day camp. The need to educate and inspire young adults to consider a missionary career is being answered through this camp. Campers are given the opportunity to see and feel what it’s like to be a missionary pilot. No where else can a fourteen to eighteen year old be exposed to aviation and ministry. I only wish this camp and ministry existed when I was in high school.
My week at Brigade Air camp challenged my thinking about missions and provided an amazing opportunity to fly several times during the week. My favorite part of camp was learning how to plot the flight plan on an aeronautical map. I was able to apply concepts I have learned in math to the real world. There was so much taught during the week that I am looking forward to another week at camp this summer. I can testify that Brigade Air camp is not just for boys!!!
I have been involved with Brigade Air in many capacities over the years. Starting as a camper in the program, I later served as a leader during a camp and have volunteered many hours in the office. I can attest to the impact of this ministry as it was through a summer camp that I decided to pursue mission aviation as a career. I am currently one semester away from graduating from the foremost mission aviation training school and will be on my way to the mission field shortly thereafter. I am thankful to Bruce Wolff and Brigade Air for the impact this program has had on my life.
I've been involved with this ministry from day one. I helped Bruce with the legal and tax exemption work, in order to formally and correctly organize the ministry. I also happen to be a pilot. I've flown with Bruce, the Director, in Mexico, performing missionary work down there. I can verify that the ministry spends its money wisely and carefully. All monies raised go to the program, with little funds actually supporting the staff - it's a very lean organization. They stretch every dollar. Most importantly, this ministry is introducing young people to the world of missionary aviation. In a day where young people are not interested in the sciences or a commitment to learn to fly, this ministry is literally putting them in the cockpit and encouraging them to consider filling a missionary transportation gap that will reach emergency proportions in the near future.
Sequoia Brigade Camp is an adventure-oriented Christian camp which caters to boys and girls in the western United States. For more than 10 years we have partnered with Brigade Air to provide an aviation experience for young men and women 8th grade and up. There have even been a few fathers who have joined us for the week! Each Aviation camp is located in Sonora, California, using the facilities of a cabin there and the airport at Columbia, California. Because of housing, transportation, and aircraft availability, we max out at 12 campers for a week of the summer. Brigade Air has been a wonderful organization to work with. Their Director, Bruce Wolff, provides the material and expertise to make this a safe, exciting, and educational experience for each of the campers. Comments from campers who have been involved in Brigade Air camp are always positive and encouraging. Although the expenses are quite high, Brigade Air does not charge us what it costs - instead depending on outside sources to continue operating, making the week of camp affordable for each of the participants.
