What a great organization! We have been Volunteering and donating for years. It is so nice to see they don't sell the donations but give them directly to people who need it.
This Nonprofit is full of passion. They continue to have too many irons in the fire creating an almost organized chaos. The mission is too large for a small organization without Government funding. They need a larger Board of Directors with committees that are willing to work. I give it 4 stars for history and effort.
This was so helpful we got beautiful stuff for our apartment and 2 new beds. I enjoyed meeting the delivery man it was so hot and he was so nice. THANK YOU :)
I have been involved with Bridging AZ Furniture Bank for many years. You could not want a better group of dedicated Board members and volunteers. The founders, Jim & Donna Piscopo had a Christian 'call' to help provide beds for children. This expanded to furniture for an apartment when someone was moving from homelessness or from some other catastrophic event in their lives. At the present time, Jim, a disabled Vet himself, has seen a way to help Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with a furniture repair and furniture building operation. The vision is coming to fruition with the addition of some furniture builders and designers who will assist with its implementation. The Bridging AZ Mission statement "Empowering People and Bridging Lives Toward Self Sufficiency" will now have an even broader scope as it continues to provide aid to Arizonans
of all ages.
We had a team of volunteers recovering kitchen chairs , on that day 3 different people showed up to get furniture. It was very impressive to see the level of service and the quality of items they received. The founder spoke to us he said they do not receive government funding, none of us could believe they don't, maybe that's why it is a smooth running organization.
I am proud to be involved in with this organization and have served in various capacities for more that 7 years. With heartfelt commitment, this organization continues to provide clean beds for children, gently used furniture and household goods to veterans and those in our community who are in need.
Bridging AZ Furniture Bank continues to grow and help previously disenfranchised individuals and families create a home. Please contact Bridging to learn more.
