I am fortunate to have been introduced to Bridges to Science!

This organization is opening the way for future career opportunities to our school aged students, by allowing them to be exposed to high quality STEM initiative programs.

When our daughters assisted their first event organized by Bridges to Science (Houston Science Festival), they were skeptical at first. They genuinely thought it would be boring and just another school program, but once they start participating and engaging in the different activities available, they were amazed and excited to learn more.

Truly these innovative programs presented by Bridges to Science are impacting our Hispanic community as well, by equipping the students with up to date information and providing them with a plethora of resources. All of these will help them adapt to the constant changes happening in the fields of STEM.

We love B2S. My kids look forward to going to the worshops every time because it’s a lot of learning through play. You’re never too old to play.. I love that they learn with their hands and have fun at it too. As a homeschool family, we are blessed to have an organization such as this.

Bridges to Science has significantly helped our homeschool group in any ways. One major contribution has been their assistance in funding a robotics class to make it more accessible to those in our group. They are a delight to work with and passionate about helping homeschool kids get the opportunities they otherwise would not have.

We were grateful to attend their science festival. My child was able to meet a range of different professionals and students in the science and math fields. It was a special opportunity that they wouldn't have had access to elsewhere especially not free of charge. We also received a technology kit that will allow my child to access more resources in their homeschooling experience.

The Tech Kit that we received helped with homeschooling both kids at the same time. We previously had to take turns using the laptop. This is a huge help and a great nonprofit.

My boys have attended several Bridges to Science workshops. The first one was held at a library. I met Rosa, the founder, and we connected so well. So we decided to volunteer for 2 other events. My boys (17 yrs old & 12 yrs old at that time) helped with registration and also assisted in a booth, where younger students would build structures using Geometiles. At the most recent workshop, my now 13 yr old volunteered and assisted younger students to learn chess. This organization has been great for us because we are a middle-to-low income family where only my husband works (so that I can stay home to homeschool). Many science activities are expensive. And many times it is the lack of knowledge or creativity on my part. But public school is not an option. My oldest son was bullied and caused emotional & mental scars that he will never go back. Bridges to Science helps fill in the gaps for us in the areas of STEM. And they have given my boys the opportunity to volunteer & gain leadership experience.

We wanted to send you a thank you from our family for organizing such a wonderful event, the Houston Science Festival. Our two older girls were very happy with the technology kits and with the entire event, from start to finish. Everything was very well-prepared and thought out. We are a Hispanic family that started homeschooling less than a year ago. This event has given us so much encouragement, knowing that there is a Hispanic community that also educates at home like us. We heard about the event at our co-op and looked forward to it for several weeks! We were the first to arrive at the event that morning :-)... Thank you very much again for all your work! It was such a blessing to be able to take our older girls (the little one joined us later), and we all had a great time! It gave us a lot of encouragement and joy!”

Bridges to Science has been great... not just to me, but to many homeschool families who needed an ally. The science festival was a great opportunity for parents to see that they are not alone, and that their children can succeed in STEM fields, even if they are not in traditional school.

The tech kits were also a blessing for so many families who are low income/one-income households, multiple children, etc.

We had an amazing time at the Bridges to Science Festival! My son got to participate in so many different STEM activities. He met a lot of different people from different places that peaked his interest. We attended a panel with people who work in STEM careers, it was so informative. One of the people on the panel was actually Homeschooled and that was great to see! The event was well organized and we would love to see this happen again. The technology kit we recieved was truly a blessing to a low income homeschool family like us. Thank you Bridges to Science!

I recently had the chance to volunteer with Bridges to Science for seven weeks as a pro bono strategy consultant. My time with the organization was truly fulfilling and inspiring. Bridges to Science is a fantastic organization that aims to guide and influence individuals from underserved communities toward STEM education. Their dedication to empowering communities and bridging educational gaps is admirable. Throughout my volunteering experience, I witnessed firsthand the passion and commitment of the Bridges to Science team. They genuinely care about the well-being and future of the individuals they serve. Their unwavering dedication to supporting underserved communities in pursuing STEM education was evident in every decision and interaction. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute my skills and expertise to such a worthwhile cause and to have worked alongside such a dedicated team at Bridges to Science. This experience has opened my eyes to the profound impact education and proper guidance can have on individuals and communities.

Bridges to Science has helped our school inmensely. Their Coding Club has exposed our students to materials, lessons, and very relevant and motivational speakers (i.e. from Google, Amazon, etc.), that otherwise they would have never known. This is a nonprofit that truly cares for the students and tries to close the gap in this underserved community.

Bridges to Science has been an integral part of our homeschool journey. Mrs. Rosa does an amazing job getting informative speakers, planning engaging projects and most importantly, loving and guiding both parents and students through exciting learning opportunities. We love the combination of online and in person meetings and Rosa did a phenomenal job not only keeping Bridges to Science going strong during the pandemic, but growing and expanding this great program. I'm so thankful for the many opportunities she has found and implemented for my boys to love learning, serving and exploring all the opportunities available to them.
