Mission: The purpose for the organization are benevolent, charitable, cultural, educational and social. The general nature of the charity and business to be transacted by this corporation is to channel the abundant resources of united states citizens and organizations for charitable and educational purposes to the orphans and children of liberia and greater west africa.
Programs: Bridges of hope continues to support the efforts of hope village in rural liberia with educational opportunities. Continue to graduate approximately 12-15 students per year. These students pass the west african association of states (high school) equivalency exam. The orphans in our care are provided with shelter, food, clothing and education. 2017 report on activities: support of the school via salaries to teachers, food for the orphans as well as those living on-site providing care to orphans. The donations were up for 2017 due to a fund-raising effort to replace the school truck that was 10 years old. Individual 5,000 donations were solicited in 2016. The fund-raising effort was completed in 2017. The truck was purchased in early 2018.
