Mission: Bridges for brain injury, inc. Is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to guide individuals with brain injuries and their families by bridging the gap between surviving and living lives of independence with dignity and hope.
Programs: Day program services: offer an opportunity for consumers to work on personal goals in a group setting. The program offers daily rereational and social activities as well as outings. A component of the program offers a wildlife education outreach group known as the wildlife rockstars, who are trained in the care of native and exotic wildlife and provide wildlife education programs to school aged children, nursing homes, day cares and the community as a part of their rehabilitation. 71 people were served during 2017.
service coordination: service coordinators work directly with survivors to design an individual plan customized to their needs to support them living as independently as possible and prevent nursing home placement. 76 people were served during 2017.
independent living skills transition in which the organization works with survivors in their homes and community by developing goals to become more independent in their daily activities. 24 people were served during 2017.
other services supporting survivors and their families in overcoming difficulties and challenges they face as they adjust to the effect of their injury.
