I cannot believe this shelter is getting good reviews. Absolutely terrible! They have a liberal agenda that was apparent from the beginning. If you want your child to become woke, forget their religion, or become LGBTQ+ then this is the place. Being accepting is one thing, changing a child’s beliefs altogether is unacceptable.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Terrible youth shelter! My daughter stayed there for a bit and during that short time the counselor made doctor appointments for my daughter. I received a text from the counselor that she would be driving my daughter nearly an hour away to take her for an annual physical since my daughter had not seen a doctor in a little over a year. She had no approval from me to do this and did not have my daughter’s insurance information. Doctor appointments are a parent’s responsibility . Briarpatch needs to learn their place and that they are not the guardian of the children staying at their facility.

Briarpatch Youth Services is a woke organization that strongly pushed their LGBTQ+ agenda on our vulnerable child. This organization needs to be either completely revamped with new workers and administrators or shut down completely. No company should donate to this woke shelter.

A social worker at Briarpatch had an inappropriate relationship with our 17 year old daughter while she stayed at Briarpatch. This social worker clearly did not want our daughter to leave Briarpatch when the time came, being untruthful with us. I contacted the Executive Director three times with a detailed written complaint but received no response. I then emailed the Board of Directors who upon reviewing the case responded, “ We believe Briarpatch acted with your daughter’s best interest in mind.”
